Wage gaps that no one talks about

A white person 25 to 54 years is only paid 83 cents for every dollar that an Asian 25 to 54 is paid (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics ).

When will our politicians do something about this discrimination against white people?

  2. Asians seem to be considered honorary white people so they don’t count. Even worse, white people actually are white people, so no one cares. Therefore, not an issue.

    • Both a fear and a salutation of Asians is a prole feeling. People overestimate Asians.

I was at the bar one time over the weekend and saw a few Asian women desperately trying to get it on, with a group of White guys. It’s repulsive and degrading when your sole purpose in life is to trying to fit in with an out group.

      • Don’t worry. For every desperate woman, there are 20 non-desperate ones (of any racial group). Try visiting a library instead of a bar.

That’s called assimilation. That should be encouraged, not mocked.

      • It’s quite interesting that Asians were subservient to Aryans, even in history, long before America and European expansion into East Asia. The upper ranks of the Khans and Huns were Caucasoid.

  3. All of these disparity arguments are just another angle to prop up useful myths. As PJ O’Rourke said, I’m paraphrasing, ‘I learned in the Sixties about the awful power of make-believe.’

I’m increasingly viewing all of public life as a battle between competing myths, the ancient text death transcendence myths, and the present day idealism myths. Reading quite a lot about the Reformation years ago progressively moved me in this direction. The similarities between the two eras are endless.

  4. Don’t Asians have higher incomes than the average prole? They don’t earn as much as SWPLs, no! But the average blue state Asian, earn more than the average chump in greater America according to statistics. These idiots probably aggregated the entire White population and compared it with the Asians in places such as New York and San Francisco.

  5. “When will our politicians do something about this discrimination against white people?”
What discrimination? I thought Asians were all “grinds”, according to JS. They often have to work harder than everyone else (especially the new immigrants who have to work 2 jobs, e.g.), and more often in STEM-related fields that tend to pay higher. So why shouldn’t they be compensated for their hard work? Or are you against meritocracy?

How about considering this example instead:
“…a 2009 study by Princeton sociologists that concluded that while the average Asian American applicant needed a much higher 1460 SAT score to be admitted [to Harvard], a white student with similar GPA and other qualifications only needed a score of 1320, while blacks needed 1010 and Hispanics 1190.” Source: Fox News article entitled “Rejected Asian students sue Harvard over admissions that favor other minorities”

    • But the Asian will then go to the state engineering school, grind out a good GPA, get a decent paying job in engineering, and have a higher median income than the average white college graduate (while not having a good shot at making it into the top 1%).

      • What’s your point, Lion? If you’re comparing average cases, of course they’re not going to be in the top 1%. And the average white college graduate in this country does not have an engineering degree. You need to compare apples with apples. If one were to scrutinize median wages closely and honestly, one would find that the Asians are actually underpaid in many cases.

    • Only 1460 to get into Harvard? In 2007, my brother scored a 1590 on his SAT on the math and verbal sections, played two years of varsity soccer and lacrosse, and was wait-listed by Harvard. However, he didn’t have any other activities (e.g., piano, volunteering, activism, etc.), and ended up attending a large state public school (on full scholarship, but still…). This cemented in my mind how ridiculous the college application process is!

When it came time to apply to graduate school, he received an acceptance at Harvard, but this time, he turned them down.

  6. Probably a lot of it is because Asians are more concentrated in high-income parts of the country. But why should a reasonable explanation matter? The male/female wage gap is primarily because women eschew certain higher-paying jobs which are risky, dirty, stressful, demanding, etc.;

Way to Go, Americans: We’re Almost as Ignorant as Italians

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-10-31/way-to-go-americans-we-re-almost-as-ignorant-as-italians-.html

This should be an affront to MaryK that both Italy and the US received top honors for being dumb and dumber. However, one should give a free pass to the Italians for being part of the Southern Euro zone. At least they know Jersey Shore isn’t the same as Capri Shore (a luxurious beach resort in Southern Italy).

It makes a lot of sense that now Spain has overtaken Italy as the honorary PIGS nation, after their remarkable modernization process in late 20th century. It’s partly attributed to Catholicism and European Liberalism. Spaniards reinvented Catholicism while Italians revolted against it.

    • Did you expect me to be offended by this story? The test is about knowledge, not intelligence. And you would need to do a much more in-depth study to get reliable data about which countries have the most ignorant citizenry overall. But someone has to be No. 1 on a list of “ignorant Europeans” – so why not the Italians? Everyone who’s studied their history knows that Italians in Italy have a long history of being suspicious of institutions outside of the family, like the church and schools. A history like this would impede learning and probably stifle a lot of a person’s natural curiosity. On the plus side, Italians are not at all anti-intellectual. They seem to view cultivating a rich intellectual life as one of many hobbies a person can choose to engage in – no better or worse than any other hobby.

But the important thing about knowledge is for a person to take charge of his own education and become an autodidact. No one needs to remain ignorant against his will. I love exploring a topic and learning enough to have an intelligent conversation about it. I can see people thinking silently: “She sure knows a lot about _____, I’ll bet it took her a long time to learn all that. I mean, considering that she’s Italian, she probably had to start at the very beginning……” LOL.

      • Yes, the Italians have always been insular due to historical events coming from the Catholic Church who forcibly tried to shove their values into the general populace to the point where the average citizen became highly suspicious of its ideologies (sort of like the Liberals in our modern day America). To make matters worse, Italy has more than its fair share of corrupt politicians who run Italy like the Mafioso. Further, Italy is going through a period of deep cultural stagnation, because old farts like Berlusconi dictate everything, and the Italian youth have no chance to make their voices heard.

Spain’s Catholicism was an uniting force against the infidel (the Jew and the Muslim), where the Inquisition was implemented to interrogate anyone who didn’t come across as a “Catholic”. The Spanish Church wasn’t interested in imposing any of its values on the people, it just wanted to verify if you were “passably” Catholic in terms of appearances and rituals. Such superficial practices led people to reinvent the religion and even ignore it when given the opportunity. Further, many non-Catholics in Spain, especially the Jews and a few Muslims, falsified their genealogical records to prove that they were of Christian lineage, to the point where they were of the nobility. This social dynamic of us vs them was never in place in Italy due to its homogeneous society.

A famous Italian Renaissance writer (can’t remember his name now), wrote a diatribe on the Spaniards, calling them “our Latin brothers”, who shared the same religion and language, but they were corrupted by the Jewish and Muslim pigs.

    • “America” keeps importing 80 IQ peasant refugees who breed like bunnies. And Obama just legalized some 5-20 million more. We are so “enriched” now that the term “America” has no meaning when looking at intelligence, achievement or the like.

A couple years ago Steve Sailer broke down the TIMSS data into ethnic groups to show that “America” may be getting dumber, but it is due to shifting population percentages.

Asians in America outperformed all but the Shanghainese (including all whites in the world).
Whites in America outperformed other white countries (except Finland, IIRC).
Mexicans in America outperformed Mexico by a good margin.
Blacks in America outperformed the only black country with the courage to post its results (Barbados, IIRC)

What white America cannot do, either biologically, culturally or financially, is turn sow’s ears into silk purses.

  12. The “white” prole understanding of Liberalism is strictly tolerance and nondiscrimination. He cannot see Liberalism as all-accepting indiscriminancy and thus a government that has been liberated with be an indiscriminate government. A government with an indiscriminate nature is a government seeking radical autonomy. Ultimately, one either ACCEPTS the indiscriminate nature of all others SO AS TO REALIZE a state of “equality” or one “white” prole will have to embrace genuine white Supremacy and declare himself separate from the all-accepting indiscriminancy of Liberated America.

      • And high IQ semi-prolish “whites” think they can maintain cool relations with the radical liberationist while shunning white Supremacy. They cannot do this. It only appears that they can do this because “they” happen to exist at a pivotal transition point. We are post-liberation. The default understanding is that all manner of liberated individual is deserving of public recognition. Nondiscrimination and tolerance IS A GIVEN. So the discrimination you claim to see from an entity that claims nondiscrimination IS ACTUALLY an aversion for genuine white Supremacy. But because it is an anxious feeling to call out your enemies EXPLICITLY, your government hides under indiscriminate behavior. And it has a deal with the masses to be “all-accepting” so as to allow all to be equally indiscriminate.

        That’s you, lion…

Equally indiscriminate putting on an air of discriminate taste…
