Bobos getting fed up with prole behavior?

tp_poster_1

I noticed this advertisement on the subway on this morning.

I think this ad is part of a very new trend in bobo attitudes. As Charles Murray pointed out in his book Coming Apart, one of the key moral values of bobos is nonjudgmentalism with respect to their inferiors.

But first there was Mayor Bloomberg’s attempt to ban large sodas, because bobos are disgusted by proles who are fat. And now there is this anti-pregnancy campaign sponsored by New York City, and no doubt approved personally by Mayor Bloomberg.

There was opposition to the campaign because the usual suspects say that it unfairly stigmatizes single mothers. The WNYC article demonstrates the traditional bobo value of nonjudgmentalism. But the whole point of the ad campaign is to stigmatize disgusting prole behavior like nonmarital teen births. The bobos are fed up with prole behavior, and they are beginning to shed the value of nonjudgmentalism in favor of letting the proles know that they are behaving badly.

WHAT THE LION THINKS ABOUT THIS

The soda ban I could take or leave. Fat proles don’t bother me that much. In fact, the ability to quickly discern a person’s social class based on their weight has its benefits.

But I think this is anti-teen-pregnancy is the smartest idea ever to come out of government in the last decade. Nothing is more damaging to our society than the breakdown of the traditional family in which men and women get married before they have children. I would vote for Bloomberg, if he ever runs for office again, based only on his support for this anti-pregnancy campaign.

  1. These ads are solely designed to allow bobos to condescendingly point fingers and maybe have a laugh about how the US is becoming an Idiocracy. Proles who view the ad will just laugh, forget about it, and then thoughtlessly propagate the human species.

    • They can’t put up adds that address the populations that have the problems. If that were a black or hispanic baby, there would be hell to pay, because racism.

This was the same thing with AIDS in the 80’s. EVERYONE was at risk. Didn’t matter if you were a straight, monogamous, non-drug using person who had never had a blood transfusion. It was imperative that the heterosexual population believe that they were at just as much risk for AIDS as a club-hopping gay man who liked to shoot up in the evenings.

Ride a bus in Milwaukee. Plenty of “public service” ads like this with pictures of black babies aimed at young black women. The ones aimed at young black men tend to shun them for getting a girl pregnant and then taking off.

The key here is black bureaucrats make these ads, not white SWPL do-gooder bureaucrats. It’s important to note that both groups have a common agenda and are allied with one another.

Yer Bobo Advertisement ‘Tis nay directed at Guidette teens, surely, English.

Guidettes, while somewhat dysfunctional, don’t have a high enough teen birthrate to warrant the add. Le bobos intended this ad, as well as the soda ban, against NAMs because the guido population isn’t large enough or as bad as the NAM population.

There are posters promoting good behavior to blacks but those are done by black activists, not bobo do-gooders. This is the first time elite bobos are going after NAM bad behavior, however sotto voce.

This is a nice step forward towards the journey of the great, the good, and the wise to finally giving up on blacks and Hispanics and treating them in ways their significant mental handicaps relative to whites requires.

I suggest the elites adopt Depo-Provera shots and Norplant for the NAM classes. Sensible eugenics must be restored to it’s rightful place in the social policy toolkit.

The soda ban I could take or leave. Fat proles don’t bother me that much. In fact, the ability to quickly discern a person’s social class based on their weight has its benefits.

I strongly favor measures to reduce carb intake because it’s so hard even for low-carb afficiandos like myself to eat out cheaply because EVERYTHING has friggin’ carbs in it. Fortunately, there are more diners catering to the “Gluten Free”/Gynewth Paltrow crowd, but I could really use more low-carb fast food options.

      • The daily mail is prole. It’s well documented that the risk of birth defects is higher for older mothers. They are claiming that kids born to older mothers are “healthier” because they have “less accidents.” Well that may be true, but here are some hard statistics about birth defects and health problems for older mothers:

        1. Higher risk of miscarriage

        At age 20: 1 in 10 women
        At age 35: 1 in 5 women
        At age 40: 1 in 3 women
        At age 45: 1 in 2 women

        2. Higher risk of any chromosomal disorder

        At age 20: 1 in 526 births
        At age 30: 1 in 385 births
        At age 40: 1 in 66 births
        At age 45: 1 in 21 births

        3. Higher risk of Down syndrome

        At age 25: 1 in 1,250 births
        At age 30: 1 in 1,000 births
        At age 35: 1 in 400 births
        At age 40: 1 in 100 births
        At age 45: 1 in 30 births
        At age 49: 1 in 10 births

        4. Higher risk of gestational diabetes

        At age 20: 22 in 1,000 women
        At age 25: 36 in 1,000 women
        At age 30: 51 in 1,000 women
        At age 35: 67 in 1,000 women
        At age 40: 84 in 1,000 women

        5. Higher risk of preeclampsia

        At age 20: 38 in 1,000 women
        At age 25: 37 in 1,000 women
        At age 30: 36 in 1,000 women
        At age 35: 39 in 1,000 women
        At age 40: 48 in 1,000 women

      • Not true. Babies born to mothers over 40 have higher IQ and generally better health.

Their IQs are higher because higher income and higher IQ white women have more children after the age of 30. The reason dysgenics happens is because women are less fertile over the age of 30 than under. If you look at the CDC state by state TFRs and break the numbers down by age group, you will see the trend of white women in higher IQ states having higher fertility after 30 than less intelligent states. Ergo, it follows the most likely way dysgenics and sub 2.1 fertility will end is through a combination of egg freezing and egg donation.

There’s also the fact women over 40 are relying more than ever on carefully screened sperm and egg donation to produce Der Uber-Baby a la Jodi Foster.

      • It’s well documented that the risk of birth defects is higher for older mothers.

Older mothers have more intelligent children despite higher risks of birth defects. Those birth defects are normally caused by older eggs. As egg freezing, chromosome testing, and egg donation become more widespread the defects rate will subsequently decline.

When baby daddy #2, whose age was unclear, came for a visit (he hadn’t seen her for most of the pregnancy; I got to overhear her late night cell conversations), his mother mentioned that fathers have to pay child support. He looked surprised and clearly had not considered or known this until that point. And I guess his mother failed to mention it to him over the months of the pregnancy. These people just aren’t thinking, or can’t think, and no public campaign poster in the world will change that.

The last decade? Dude, the gummint has been anti-teen-pregnancy since the 1970s. Here is the Rockefeller Commission (established in 1969) bemoaning it:

    http://www.population-security.org/rockefeller/010_status_of_children_and_women.htm

You will note that it advocates in Chapter 11 that the government should provide abortion, contraception, and sterilization free to all citizens who do not have health insurance.

But anyway, all that government yammer sure hasn’t done much to reduce the teen pregnancy rate.

Threatening prole men with having to pay child support probably doesn’t impress them, since they know the mom will get all the money she needs from the state.

  14. Ha! As if the state would try to cut off it’s life’s blood – the underclass!

What these are is an extension of exactly what the states been doing since forever – undermining the best of the lower classes by encouraging the worst of the lower classes to breed.

Who thinks about child support? Men who have some degree of future time orientation.
Who doesn’t? Men who have no thought about the future.
Who has wages to garnish? Men who have jobs.
Who doesn’t? Men who drift from one criminal enterprise to another and have no fixed employment.

So the state is encouraging men who are responsible to take themselves out of the gene pool while giving the green light for men with nothing to lose to aggressively pursue women.

Just more of the same anarcho-tyranny.

The same thing happens with overpopulation rhetoric. Educated, conscientious people have few children– if any at all– to save mother earth. Meanwhile society gets less educated and less conscientious.

Without a welfare safety net, a pregnant daughter meant DAD had to support the baby of the cad who ravaged his daughter. This mean an extremely angry father to be faced every day by the young mother. Many dads wouldn’t even provide support, tossing the daughter out on the street. It was fear of her father and fear of being on the street with a baby that prevented this type of behavior.

  17. welfare has existed since 1935, the reason “out of wedlock” births were uncommon was because most were married off by the time they had graduated high school, you weren’t expected to not have children out of wedlock you were expected to not have sex before marriage. Back in the old days all teen mothers were married.

Traditional America has not “lost its values” traditional America still believes sex before marriage is wrong and at the same time takes marriage very seriously.

If you watch 16 and pregnant the commonality between every single episode (besides the dad running off)
is that the parents of these girls were plenty hostile and shaming about sex, the fear was pregnancy of course ! yet none them knew anything about proper condom use or were ever educated about contraceptives. And yet even after they have gotten pregnant the parents still said they could not have sex until they were married! like marriage was some holy thing that could never be undone…(Um, that would babies not marriage) their thinking is completely backwards.

They are still stuck in the 1950s mentality and the rest of the world has moved on.

  20. The problem with the claim that bastardy is a new problem is that it’s much MORE common in Scandinavia than in the US. There it is common for unmarried parents to live together as if married.

That is, legal bastardy does not necessarily mean single mothers or single fathers. It may mean unmarried parents living together. And in places like France or Italy married parents will much more likely be separated, because divorce is more difficult or “not done”.

Unmarried parents living together is better than married parents separated.

  24. these ads are judgmental AND intolerant. i wonder how bloomberg’s getting away with this? are his bona fides on guns and gaia so high The Narrative controllers are letting him slide? or do they just not see the hypocrisy? the gop should cave on global warming [gas tax in cities with public transportation, then spend the money on suburban public transport] in order to recruit bloomberg.

  25. Although I’m all in favor of reducing the number of single teen mothers, Bloomberg’s generation spent decades telling us to do whatever we want. That he, and the elites he represent, finally comes to the conclusion that our grandparents were right all along… well, too late now. You can’t put the societal toothpaste back in the tube.

  26. When are bobos going to come out against tattoos? That has to be the most unattractive fad among proles today. Sometimes people cover themselves with so many tattoos that it looks like they’ve torn a muscle. I especially hate to see beautiful girls with them.

  27. The target audience for this ad is not my beloved proles. If the elites who conceptualized and funded this ad cared a whit for their fellow citizens they would agitate for the use of tarrifs to bring back low skill manufacturing jobs and such. They might shame the swpls who administer the entertainment into celebrating black culture a little less enthusiastically. They might consider my beloved proles need a better health care system.
This ad is targeted to their lackeys, the bobos and swpls and the message is clearly “Sure, your wages adjusted for inflation have lost ground over the last 10 years and of course your stock portfolio is at best par but it could be worse”.

  28. The older I’ve become, the more reclusive I become. Society is devolving into a cesspool of annoying and inconsiderate scumbags. I try to be stoic and zen about it, but the offensiveness is like running the gauntlet. Having to endure such torture is painful no matter how much philosophical jiu-jitsu I utilize.

    • If you ever listened to Anthony from O & A, the funny Italian American prolish guy on radio, he had a segment on how society is devolving into a toxic stew of pretentious and stupid people. Lion’s classification of the different groups, SWPLs, Proles, Asians, and non-Asian minorities has no meaning now. People suck wherever you go!
