Beta-male rage in Milford Connecticut?

There was a fatal stabbing at a high school in Milford Connecticut, and it sounds like this may be a case of beta-male rage.

* * *

At 10:00 AM on Saturday morning, I think that the prediction of beta-male rage holds up. The perpetrator is a beta-looking white kid. He was on the track team, but that’s more of a beta sport and not an alpha sport like the big three ball sports (baseball basketball football). He has been described as “weird, and a “class clown” as well as someone no one would ever imagine as a murderer. His weirdness is apparently not extreme weirdness like Adam Lanza, but merely normal lesser-beta-male weirdness (please excuse the oxymoron).

He was apparently childhood friends with the victim, and had an unrequited crush on her for a very long time.

I hate to have to say something that Roissy would probably say, but if someone had taught him some basic “game” and the importance of letting go of “oneitis”, this tragedy surely would have been averted.

* * *

This NY Times article about the suspect, Chris Plaskon, makes him sound less beta. He actually did participate in football and baseball. However, I think his bad acne may have prevented him from being popular with girls.

So now, I’m not sure if this is beta-male rage caused by oneitis, or just schizophrenia.

        Basically. Male hypergamy is strong among Omega males. They all feel entitled to women who are out of their league.

        And when they can’t get them they retreat into porn or anime or revenge fantasies. And occasionally this savagery.

      • Male hypergamy is a myth. A major factor as to why males lack romantic success and these attacks occur at a young age is supply and demand. Demand far outstrips supply until the mid-20’s when the girls themselves start to age out of hotness and younger/older women become available as opposed to same age peers.

        Conquistador

        April 26, 2014 at 1:01 PM

      • That’s why men try to share women with other men as supply exceeds demand. And many women are all for it, if you have the looks and status.

        Not only that, younger men have to contend with older men for women, who are often more alpha and powerful, and can snag younger hotter women from them because of it.

  6. I went to two proms. My senior prom. Then, a year later, I took a girl to her prom. Anyone who didn’t go to theirs shouldn’t feel bad. You didn’t miss anything. If I had it to do over again I’d have skipped both.

    • Clearly this kid was mentally unstable. That’s a hell of a reaction because someone turned you down. Also proof that mental health and lack of impulse control are two of American’s biggest problems – not access to guns.

      On the somewhat related topic of proms, I have to say that I’ve never understood the American obsession with them. I mean its just a party, right? It occurs once or twice in high school. But even if it were once a year in high school its still just a damn party. Also, I always felt (even as a young teen) that adults were far more infatuated with proms and the idea of proms as some kind of youth status symbol than real-life teens themselves were. On a TV show in the 1970s a woman referred to her goddaughter’s prom as “the most important night of your life.” I was about 15, but my jaw dropped. “The most important night of your life?” How about your first job, your wedding day, the birth of your first child. WTF?

      • American High School is actually the beginning of adulthood. It is the one social institution that emerges at the beginning of puberty. High School is the training ground for the real world. It is where people start to establish their status and where it will lead them in the real world because the real world is very much like high school.

        Proms are important because girls are at the peak years of attractiveness and who they can pull at the prom establishes the basis of the kind of men they will date and marry. Boys work on their status game through appearances, school, athletics and sociability which establishes how well they can succeed with women and in life.

        Remember, colleges select on the basis of how well kids do in high school.

        Treating high school as if it is some kind of arbitrary step that people endure before they go on to big and better things is a colossal blunder of many parents and students.

      • The basic premise for men in America is to earn a lot of money, become ruthless, and women and success will follow.

        All this grooming and going into the right schools seems secondary. You have Ivy League grads who have trouble with women and dabble with PUA. What does this tell you?

      My 20th high school reunion is coming up in a couple of years. I didn’t go to my 10th and I don’t plan on going to this one.

      I really don’t get any of this stuff, and I’m not a sperg and I wasn’t a nerd in high school. My class was small too, about 300 people, and most of them are/were fine people.

      This is especially true from the age of 16-24 when these attacks mostly occur.

      • The captain of the football team is the guy every girl dreams about. Even if he isn’t dating them they’re all drawn to guys like him anyway. After high school the hook up culture allows men at the top to sleep with multiple women should they choose. People like you just can’t fathom that most men are reproductively expendable.

        As long as polygamy is illegal then marriage isn’t winner take all. But you’re right about the dating scene. The Pareto Principle is definitely in effect. 20% of the guys are getting 80% of the women. Instead of playing musical chairs those women are playing musical penises. They’re standing in line waiting their turn with a stud who will never marry them.

        People are renting all kinds of things. Sharing an apartment in NYC is expensive.

        For guys to share hot girls with other guys, there’s an asking price as well. You must fit the criteria in looks and have status.

  12. Her mother is Donna Cimarelli-Sanchez, so it seems she’s half Italian. She has a cousin named Kovacs. She seems like a real modern multi-cult kid, bits and pieces of everything in her family.

    The perp’s name is withheld because he’s a juvenile, but since other kids know who he is it will probably leak. Kid is supposedly on suicide watch, so that points back to beta rage if you ask me, and not thug behavior.

  20. Being on the track team is meaningless in terms of alpha or being considered an “athlete.” High school track teams are jammed full of mediocrities, especially in very white schools. Just about anybody can get on the team as long as you show up and go to practice. Many people don’t even compete; only the top kids go run at meets. The rest are just moops who hang around at practice. You could picture the geeks from “Freaks and Geeks” being on track team.

It may also be a shortened form of a longer name and may not be exclusively Russian either A quick web search turned up a genealogy for a Plaszkony family in Hungary, some of whom shortened the name to Plaskon.

  24. If this was a black kid, would it be chalked up to “genetics” and “low intelligence”? That seems to be the pattern here. Hispanic or Black commits a crime it’s genetics but if a white, asian or middle-eastern kid commits a crime it’s “beta male rage” who probably will end up as a computer programmer. Or sometimes it’s those awful “prole values”. This blog used to be informative, now it’s just a spectacle.

    The comments are equally worse. Someone actually championed this stabbing and another mocked users for calling it out.

  25. It sounds less and less like a simple case of Beta rage. The boy seemed reasonably popular and well-adjusted,* and a team-sport athlete to boot, while the girl was cute but probably not the most highly desirable girl in the school. And then there’s the fact that the attack was premeditated. According to reports she turned him down about three months ago. He then brought a knife to school on the day of the prom. It sounds to me as if he had been planning it for a while. That’s not really a rage situation.
