  4. I guest LOTB could not hire an immigrant to maintain his blog while he was going other things. Has he learned nothing from all of the discussion here.

I beat all of the Ivy League graduates who work in Big Law or Investment Banking do not skip on their social media while on vacation. I suspect they get other to do it for them.

    • Lion, I think it’s time for a photo essay comparing a prole Hispanic neighborhood to a prole white neighborhood.

“In related shivs, I wonder if LotB is aware that the cast of Jersey Shore are prepped to exaggerate their prole behavior to extremes? It’s like he actually believes reality TV is reality. Too funny!”

I’m sure they were prepped, but the behavior that’s exhibited in the first season of Jersey Shore is pretty much what guidos naturally do whenever they’re in front of a television camera.

      • I lived in Staten Island and I’ve been to Seaside Heights, it’s natural guido behavior.

      • Just love those overweight guys who raise and swing their arms while they prod slowly. It’s what you call guido peacocking or status signaling.

      • Being an overweight guido is a sign of maturity. Muscle bound guidos are still in their adolescent phase.

      • On a related note, Heartiste’s blog is great and it’s actually improved my life, but he has another post up today where he tsk tsk’s assortive mating. He’s repeatedly pushed this point and I completely disagree. If he ever decides to have kids, I strongly suspect that he’d ignore his own advice.

      • uatu, the average IQ of people who post at blogs like the ones you mention is about 115. Don’t know what the average is here, though it goes way up when I post :-). I don’t know if Steve sailer’s readers are any smarter than the lion’s but Steve hsu’s certainly are but that’s because Hsu’s blog is hardcore science which screens out virtually everyone below 115. Actually the average poster at my blog is about 145 but that’s only because my readership is so pathetically tiny that having just one genius link to me on Twitter to all his genius followers was enough the raise the average IQ of the commenters by 2 SD overnight though that won’t last very long.

The Lion is an extremely skilled blogger in that he can maintain a huge readership with very little effort and is smart enough to express himself succinctly, lucidly and humorously. Now that I have a blog of my own my respect for the lion’s skills has increased enormously. Not that I didn’t respect him before, but I didn’t fully appreciate how uniquely good he is at his craft.

      • Yet the mortality and the suicide rate for NFL players is actually much lower than it is for the general population, and higher lean body mass is associated with lower mortality. Up to a point anyway.

      • WRONG. Just the opposite:

“The result is a dramatically shortened life span: While white men in the United States on average live to age 78 and African-American men to about 70, “it appears that professional football players in both the United States and Canada have life expectancies in the mid- to late-50s,” Harvard researchers wrote in a summary of their project.”

      • The Lion has long challenged the conventional wisdom that muscles are healthy and it’s starting to look like not only was he right, but that muscles may even be less healthy than fat.

        pumpkinperson

      • RIGHT. http://thebiglead.com/2012/05/09/breaking-down-the-study-on-nfl-life-expectancy/

That’s what you hear lion. But even you, surprisingly, buy the hype. Surprising. Very surprising.

Perhaps that 55 bs is the modal age at death. It may be that former NFL are more likely to die young, but overall live longer, have a lower mortality rate.

Your uncritical acceptance of that bs figure is consonant with your uncritical acceptance of simplistic explanations of racial differences.

Even more surprising, because it is a FACT that large people (not fat, but big) don’t live as long as small people.

But then again, Max Schmeling lived to 99. So there’s hope for the robust.

    • Only some vacations are prole. Vacations that involve eco-tours, archaeological digs, indigenous peoples, meditation, and ironic road trips to kitschy attractions are all favorites of the status conscious and pretentious.

    • What’s a little confusing is that in the other countries mentioned (Italy, Poland etc.) even more jobs are supposed to be endangered…
And the type of jobs at risk (telemarketer, clerks) are not exactly the ones Germany’s middle- and high tech industry (cars, machines, chemistry, pharma etc.) is based upon. So I guess ve vill still do better than already de-industrialized Britain which is in for rough times after the next financial bubble will burst and the North sea oil gets depleted.

  9. Another beta male rage?

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/07/31/chicago-shooting-bank-america/13408617/

Seems like shooting at the value transference predator makes a lot of sense these days, now that the average American is a lemming to be eaten by one of them, figuratively that is.

    • From the extended interview:

“But these arguments don’t just threaten pocket books – they threaten status. And you have to remember people like me care a lot about status. That’s why we are where we are. And so when you mess with status, when you mess with the status of people who care about almost nothing but status…it’s not by accident that the people with the most money and power want status and power more than other people…But this idea that the more greedy we are as individuals, the better off the society is, in general, is a lie…There’s a lot of research emerging that shows people who are wealthier have less empathy.”

  14. Lion, do you agree with this ranking of the races by their attractiveness to women?

    http://www.rooshv.com/totem-pole-of-race-attractiveness

    Jason123

    August 4, 2014 at 2:12 AM

    • One thing that you will notice is that certain groups of men who tend to have masculine features are rated more attractive than their women because of the T-levels. Therefore, Southern European men are rated more attractive than their female counterparts.

East Asian men being the least attractive is indeed very true and universal, especially among the more tribal and more ethnocentric cultures who view outsiders with reservation. Therefore, women from both sides of the Mediterranean, whether it’s Southern Europe or the Arab world would judge Asian men and also black men quite harshly, where as the Anglo and Northern Euro countries and their more inclination of multiculturalism, not as much. Further, interracial dating is also more prevalent in these regions.
