Hilarious SNL skit about Obama’s executive order

Parody of Schoolhouse Rock. Must watch!

* * *

There is debate about whether it’s intended to be anti-Obama, but most people perceive it as anti-Obama, and that’s what matters.

  2. “looks like Obama boxed himself into a lose-lose situation.” ——————— Obama may be counting on the arts, media, academia and academic historians to continue the trajectory of positing ‘equality’ not only the symbolic but organic purpose of the United States and that future generations will view his law breaking (if it is law breaking) in about the same manner as they view John Brown or Abraham Lincoln’s law breaking. As some sort of moral victory.

    Obama’s thinking of himself first.

  3. Hey executive orders can be used for major things like interning Japanese and Germans during WW2.

  4. Obama is a lame duck, so they can do this and tell themselves it’s OK. My question is, will they mock Hillary Clinton for the things she deserves to be called on while she is still a candidate for the presidency, i.e. her dishonesty, her megalomania, her control freak tendencies that border on petty tyranny? We’ll see.

    • I see President Obama akin to Mayor Dinkins of NYC and just any other black bureaucrat who oversteps their turf, which is marked with strife and incompetence.

  5. Business Week finally says it…

    11/24/14 – The Tech Worker Shortage Doesn’t Really Exist

    http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-11-24/the-tech-worker-shortage-doesnt-really-exist#r=lr-sr

    Along with temporary deportation relief for millions, President Obama’s executive action will increase the number of U.S. college graduates from abroad who can temporarily be hired by U.S. corporations. That hasn’t satisfied tech companies and trade groups, who contend more green cards or guest worker visas are needed to keep tech industries growing because of a shortage of qualified American workers. But scholars say there’s a problem with that argument: The tech worker shortage doesn’t actually exist…The real issue…is the industry’s desire for lower-wage, more-exploitable guest workers, not a lack of available American staff. “It seems pretty clear that the industry just wants lower cost labor,”

  6. It may be surprising to some, but this isn’t the first time SNL has strayed off the liberal reservation to actually go after the left. One of the writers on the show, James Downey, is rumored to be conservative. And I say rumored because he’s never confirmed it himself, since no doubt that would lead to instant dismissal, but I wrote about a few anti-left skits they did during the 2008 election here:

    http://web.archive.org/web/20110520113554/http://muchedumbre.com/live-from-new-york

    In fact in one of the show’s best attacks on the left (the skit was never posted online so you can’t see it) they went after the New York Times for sending dozens of reporters to Alaska to check out Palin but zero to Chicago to check out Obama. You can read the transcript here:

    http://snltranscripts.jt.org/08/08btimes.phtml

    It doesn’t read funny, but it is a pretty good jab at a couple of liberal sacred cows: media bias, the insularity of liberal reporters ect…
