Amos YeeMost awesome rant ever

Nerdy 17-year-old kid from Singapore, Amos Yee, lets loose with an awesome rant on YouTube, Lee Kuan Yew is finally dead. Must watch!

Too bad the kid was arrested and faces three years in prison. I guess he’s right about everything he said.

I hope that some Singaporean girl will want to have sex with him now that he’s a famous criminal.

  1. maybe he mentions the following in the vid, but despite the libertardian hype:

    1. 80%+ of Singaporeans live in public housing.

    2. 20%+ of Singapore’s economy is govt owned, much higher than the average for developed countries.

    • And yet the country has one of the highest GDPs per cap in the world. Which goes to show that when you show concern for population quality by not importing third worlders and ruthlessly suppress crime, the other stuff we argue about doesn’t really matter.

All their menial labor is done by third worlders they import. They just don’t show up in the stats.

you know, it’s very easy to sneer at the freedoms we have in the West, but at the end of the day it is rather nice not to have to worry about being incarcerated for saying [insert idiot public figure here] is a dumb ass.

        Touche!

In Singapore you can’t talk about Lee Kuan Yew. In Russia, you can’t say anything bad about Putin. You can say it sucks not to be able to criticize the leader.

But in the West, you can’t talk about blacks, gays, women with careers. If you do, you lose your job or business. While it’s technically legal to be a “bigot,” in reality it’s impossible unless you’re independently wealthy.

So instead of being unable to criticize an individual, here you can’t have an honest discussion about any aspect of public policy. Without being able to criticize groups, it’s impossible have a discussion about economics, gender roles, the institution of the family, crime, racial preferences, education, etc. Every single one of these issues is a minefield.

The truth is that, on the most important issues, speech is much more restricted in the West than it is in other countries.

      • In Russia Putin’s popularity is at record height. The ‘liberal’ press criticizes him and his policy, but it’s true that many regular citizens would be afraid to voice their criticism openly. I don’t feel this way and loudly denounce Putin for not taking over most of Ukraine, otherwise he is great and I would vote only for him.

If you’re talking about America, most Americans are unremarkable, regardless of race. The current crop of youths who live in the best cities, best neighborhoods, are unremarkable, despite their superior upbringing.

America was never about developing talents: The status quo wants a country club nation with servants based on caste/rank who could be exploited.

the US has replaced racial, ethnic, religious, etc. homogeneity, as is found in every nation-state or ethno-state, with homogeneity of thought.

and this is much worse. much vulgar-er, much more despicable, much more dangerous.

that, inter alia, is why i hate multi-culturalism but at the same time think that HBD is bullshit.

the ethno-state tends to maximizes the potential of its citizenry (though not its citizens individually). the mere state, or empire, is necessarily Orwellian, but those whose potential is maximized within such a state naturally are its most ardent supporters, its most true believers.

present day HBDers are not only stupid…they’re not racist enough.

This guy would have gotten nothing but likes on Facebook or wherever for that same rant if he had done it to an adult manager rather than a polite teenage girl who took his abuse with a smile.

        March 31, 2015 at 3:13 PM

      • I don’t understand why he should lose his job. He had not done anything inappropriate while performing his duties? This is crazy! I choked my manager at work and quit a couple of months later because I felt I wouldn’t have a future in the company after that incident. I could understand being fired for that because I did on a job site and he was my manager. But if I choke someone at my own free time, what has this got to do with my job? Maybe he needed it? A person should be judged by his work performance, imo.

      • Sure, it’s over 70% Chinese. In multicultural societies there is typically racial bloc voting. So the Chinese would just vote for themselves, effectively making it a Chinese ruled country. After that, the communist party reaches out to them, they become allies and then it essentially just becomes a Chinese colony.

        Dave Pinsen

        March 31, 2015 at 6:40 PM

      • Genes are selfish, less groupish. There’s probably no strong instinct for loyalty to one’s overall racial bloc (or anywhere beyond one’s nuclear family) because most wars were fought among members of the same race. In such a setting, groups overly altruistic to their racial group would divide scarce resources with everyone while the selfish would strike out to gain as much for themselves as possible. Selfishness in the vast majority of cases is the optimally fitness enhancing strategy.

If it were otherwise, Taiwan would never have become independent of China and no citizen of Hong Kong would protest their city’s treatment by the mainland. Not to mention the long, storied history of Europeans killing Europeans, Chinese killing Chinese, Japanese killing Japanese…

      • East Asia is far more dynamic than Europe. The only city in Europe with a pulse is London, maybe Berlin on a good day. The rest of Europe is very pleasant, but quiet, filled with an aging population that expects the state to care for them.

An element of “Multi culti” is fine provided the population of African descent doesn’t get out of hand. That is why Hong Kong offers a better quality of life than New York, and London is also still slightly better than New York. Sao Paulo or Johannesburg demonstrate how badly multi culti can fail.

      • The commentators on this post seem to gloat about the repressiveness of East Asians at their finest, just because of their ironclad culture, which unsuspectingly puts forth a country such as Singapore, a micromanaged “paradise”, compared to a sea of dysfunctional, yet also repressive neighboring nations in Southeast Asia. I see the authoritarian behavior of Asians vis-à-vis Asians, as a end result of their inherent behaviors/culture. They need to be ruled with an iron fist. The same principle applies to the average East Asian student who needs strict external discipline from their parents to be on “equal footing” with Whites at the higher learning institutions.

Ross’s snark about me calling LKY a genius, is because he wants to use the government to make the world flat. Libertarians have no interest in making the world flat. I agree with them on that point. But neither do I object to using a heavy hand to put a stop to marxist bullshit. Mao and Pol Pot have shown that one could do a lot worse than Franco or Pinochet. 16. I remember in the ’90s some American punk got sentenced to canning in Singapore, and William Safire wrote a few critical columns about it.

Canning seems like it could be a beneficial form of punishment for some crimes in the US though. E.g., littering, shoplifting, minor vandalism, etc. Instead of putting a teen or young adult in prison where he can get socialized as a criminal and gain street cred (and it costs maybe $100 per day to house him), cane his ass in public. It’s painful, it’s cheap, it doesn’t do permanent damage, and it does nothing to increase his street cred.
