NY Times continues to incite the blacks to riot

Continuing with the same theme, a big article in the NY Times claims that blacks are more often the victim of traffic stops because of racist discrimination by the police (without actually stating it quite that explicitly).

This article is part of a recent trend by the MSM which has the effect of inciting blacks to riot in places like Ferguson and Detroit. The MSM is constantly telling black people that they should hate the police, which is a very bad message to be sending.

There are many contributing reasons for why blacks are stopped and arrested more often than whites:

1. Perhaps they commit more traffic infractions. Blacks disproportionately commit other crimes, so it’s logical that they would disproportionately commit traffic offenses.

2. When stopped, it’s my impression that blacks are much more likely to be confrontational and aggressive with the police officer (partially because articles like this teach blacks to hate the police).

I do concede that the police discriminate against vehicles which look low class. What do low-class vehicles look like? They tend to be jalopies, or decorated in a manner that no middle-aged middle-class white person would ever do. If black people all read Dale Carson’s book, which teaches you to drive nondescript cars (imagine the kind of car a 60-year-old white woman would drive) and to behave in a passive manner with the police (and of course you should avoid violating traffic laws if at all possible), then they wouldn’t be stopped as often.

Pretty sure the blacks don’t need the NYT (and seriously, how many of them actually read it or articles in general?) to make them hate the cops.

    • They aren’t, but the influence of the most prestigious newspaper trickles down to lesser papers and even to YouTube, and probably black people if they read anything they read articles about how blacks are victimized by whites.

  3. The New Jersey Turnpike Study showed blacks speed at twice the rate of the general population. You should hear the excuses black racists make when I point that out. Because allegations of racial profiling is an article of faith they use to excuse criminality and slander others. Another false claim black racists make is that prisons are full of people whose only crime was smoking pot.

Yet another poster can talk about how stupid it is to waste money or rims, but if I mention another common way people waste money, (tattoos) I again get blasted for changing the subject.

You don’t like my attempts to inject a new perspective, or some levity, into the discussion? Take it up with Lion. Unless you are a moderator.

      • njguy73 — Once again, this was a post about the NY Times racebaiting blacks. And while you may not have initiated the threads about low-class vehicles, you responded to both of them and only them with an emphasis on poor whites. I simply asked why you keep trying to shift the focus of the the post. Because it definitely looks like you’re more interested in discussing “proles” and “white trash” than anything else.

      • destructure – you’re absolutely right. All the posters on this site, myself included, need to focus less on segmenting “prole” vs. “white trash” vs “SWPL” vs. whatever. Same goes for labeling men via Greek letters. All that categorizing does is distract us from how those in charge of our nation and its institutions have failed miserably in, just to name three ways: 1. educating future generations 2. fostering economic health and 3. promoting art that uplifts.

  8. In rural areas, young white males who are clearly not wealthy will “jack up” their trucks with lift kits and put on tires that look like they cost many hundred dollars apiece. I’ve never been able to figure out what makes them want to waste that much money on something so useless. Leaving aside the costs of the modifications themselves, fuel expenses alone would be terribly burdensome.

Seriously, gang, how may times have you seen someone totally tatted up and thought, how much money has this person on body ink over the course of there life, and what would they have today if they put it in a mutual fund?

And the women. I can’t count the number of prole women I’ve seen whom I would have considered attractive were it not for the tats. I mean, covered in them. It’s shameful.

    • To go muddin’, of course. And to feel like you’re on the top of the world.

But another reason because it’s considered status-signalling. You probably status signal by going on lavish vacations, dining at fine restaurants, or acquiring that German-make car.

Rednecks view this as ostentatious (and too expensive for them), so they status-signal by buying something that’s bigger, faster, and louder. Cigarette boat. Jet ski. Lift kit for your new pickup. New bass boat with a 250-hp outboard engine.

People from your neighbourhood would consider it low class if you bought a new snowmobile and tooled around in the neighbourhood with it during winter. Rednecks conversely see it as high-tootin’ if you spend $200 on a meal and have a wine collection. Different folks, Diff’rent Strokes.

October 26, 2015 at EST am

      • Cigarette boat probably shouldn’t be on that list. The rangers wouldn’t let you put something that fast and that large in the water, and you’d need a 350 to tow it anyway (forget the lift kit). And I can’t even imagine seeing one of those things hit a stump.

October 26, 2015 at EST am

      • Cigarette boats are definitely on the list. What do you mean by rangers? In the Great Lakes anyone can own and drive around a cigarette boat. And they’re almost exclusively owned by rednecks.

    • “I’ve never been able to figure out what makes them want to waste that much money on something so useless.”

For the same reason a lot of younger SWPLs are in humanities programs at university (clearly useless unless they are connected up-front); empty status signaling.

“My truck is bigger than your truck” is mostly modern day consumerist peacocking.

    ….

That’s true. The NYT and other MSM fraudsters are trying to stoke the sense of grievance, alienation and outrage among the black community to gin up the turnout in next years elections. There will be no black candidate such as Obama running for the Democrats – they have no black candidates at all. In fact, the only possible one is Ben Carson, a (gasp!) conservative Republican. So they want to get started early. Expect a few more Ferguson-style hyped-up stories about “police brutality” and “racism” next year. But the MSM had better be careful here – if things get out of hand, the Republicans will come back with a “law and order” campaign to target frightened whites and Asians. So this stuff could bacfire.

  12. If blacks drove a non-descript, non-prole-looking car, then they’d be very likely to get pulled over, as the cops would naturally suspect they stole the car from a 60-year-old white woman.

  13. To the extent racism is nothing more than social self-defense with a real, imagined or projected ethnocentric context put into the condemnatory jargon of social therapy and to the extent the police are already in the business of defending society generally from poorly socialized young men and to the extent black young men are the least socialized in American society, it only stands to reason that police defense of society would entail increased attention to young black males. The real question is why we choose to give such credence to the mental framework of the social therapy movement?

If you compare “Fuck da police” and “No vaseline”, it’s leniant if you compare to something like “Lettre à la République” here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp3XZDK7Lw4 or “Zyed and Bouna” (from a french caribean converted to Islam).
