Children’s debate

I’m watching Chris Christie stomp on Bobby Jindal the way a big fat man would stomp on a little skinny brown bug.

* * *

The real debate doesn’t start until nine, so I think I’m going to try watching the first episode of some TV series I haven’t watched yet.

  1. I wonder if you would be into it…but The Good Wife is super satisfying. I avoided it for a long time because it seemed like silly CBS fare. And while the characters/writing doesn’t go too deep, it is quite good. Plus Julianna Margulies is hot.

  2. Actually, I was planning on spending the night watching the Sopranos until I found out there was another debate! Mid-way through season 4.

    Now, now Lion, don’t be racist!

    Seriously, though, I wasn’t crazy about the way Jindal was going after Christie repeatedly. Christie probably has a harder time controlling state spending due to the fact that NJ is a blue state. Christie may have been able to do better in a red state like Louisiana.

    Did you catch Jindal’s comment about offering Christie a juice box? I assume that was a reference to his weight. The audience didn’t seem to like this comment. I’m surprised Jindal would make a reference to Christie’s size, or that if he didn’t mean it that way, that he could be naïve enough not to realize it could be taken that way.

    Sorry, Bobby, but I’ll have to call it as Christie 2, Jindal 0.

  4. In spite of everything, Bobby Jindal is a smart Indian. He’s gone as far as he can go by trying to reinvent himself as a dumb Southerner. It’s time for him to go to Wall Street and cash in.
