Planned Parenthood shooter seems like mentally ill person

Robert L. Dear Jr. seems too much like a mentally ill person for people to pin this on Christian anti-abortion evangelism, so the liberals will fall back to using this incident as a reason to push for more gun control. But it probably won’t work because they underestimate how much prole whites love, love, love their guns.

* * *

The Washington Post says that the police are racist because Mr. Dear, who is a crazy white person, was allowed to surrender without being shot and killed.

  1. “For some observers, the humane treatment that Roof, Holmes and McVeigh received from authorities versus the split-second executions of Rice and Crawford, highlights a disturbing contrast in how law enforcement treats suspects depending on their race. During moments of alleged crisis, critics maintain, police not only perceive white suspects versus black ones differently, but may also perceive the existence of a crisis differently.”

    Some observers? Critics maintain?

Who are these people… could it be the race-baiting author of that article?

  2. I think the gun control movement lost a lot of its teeth with the Paris terrorist attack. France has strict gun control laws, and it did them no good. You can’t say, “Mass shootings don’t happen in other developed countries!” with the same conviction now.

  3. No doubt if he hadn’t surrendered to them he would have been shot. That is usually why people get shot. If a cop yells “get on the ground” then get the hell on the ground.

  4. prole whites love, love, love their guns

They love them so much they “cling” to them!

  5. Nice job Washington Post. Writing an article based on tweets from the coalition of the perpetually angry without a scintilla of analysis. No mention of the rate at which crazy whites are shot in interactions with police versus crazy/drugged up blacks. Apparently, the shooting in Chicago is characteristic of all police interactions with crazy blacks and the shooting in Colorado Springs is characteristic of all police interactions with crazy whites. We know this because some people who have twitter accounts say it is so and the WAPo chooses to publish the tweets.

On the one hand I’m pleased WAPo publishes this stuff giving us some (more) insight into the levels of crazy narcissistic paranoia, not to mention unstructured thinking, in the black community. On the other hand, what do they imagine to be the result; that reading the poor thinking of twitter users will lead to a belief that police kill crazy blacks but not crazy whites, true or not?

BTW – contra criticisms the city has received for holding on to the tape for a year, anyone else suspect the hold was calculated to drop at a more convenient time, election wise, in terms of whipping up black voters?

  6. they underestimate how much prole whites love, love, love their guns.

I am not a prole, and there is no way in hell I will ever give up my guns, thanks to the numerous Democrat policies that are making the country a far less safe place to live.

  7. Would be perfict if Black Lives Matter started agitating for cops to kill more white people for the sake of Equality.

  8. That WaPo article is totally idiotic. It combines two talking points that even if not discredited entirely, should be taken with many grains of salt. This was also months ago. Whites are killed by polices at a higher rate than their rates of general homicide or homicides of police. Additionally, the stats about right wing extremism are totally slanted to characterize anything not Muslim as right wing and doesn’t count some potential Muslim extremism. This author did a terrible job and their is no place to comment and point out his idiocy.

  9. You’re gonna sit there and say that if the shooter was black, he wouldn’t have had more of a chance to get shot by the police?

The facts speak otherwise. Of course, you can say that blacks do this to themselves because of how a lot of them act and are more likely to be uncivil.

    • “If one adjusts for the racial disparity in the homicide rate or the rate at which police are feloniously killed, whites are actually more likely to be killed by police than blacks,” said Mr. Moskos, a former Baltimore cop and author of the book “Cop in the Hood.”

This quote from Toni Morrison speaks volumes about the challenges facing white America with regard to racial conversations with blacks. Toni Morrison said that it would be time to get beyond conversations about race when “[a]nd I want to see a white man convicted for raping a black woman. Then when you ask me, ‘Is it over?’, I will say yes.”

Apparently, Ms. Morrison is unaware that white on black rape is so rare as to be virtually unmeasurable.

  10. Do you think he’s alpha? Except for the peeping Tom bit, which is pretty beta, he sounds like he might be alpha:

Dear was also involved in at least two altercations that never reached the court system. The Daily Beast obtained police records that show that in 1997 his wife, Pam, called police after Dear “took her keys from her and locked her out of their residence.”

When Pam attempted to enter their shared home through a window, he “hit her and pushed her out the window,” the report reads.

  11. The media are now reporting that a leaked source said that Dear said “no more baby parts” during questioning. Liberals are already saying that even if the guy wasn’t a self-identified right-wing Christian, this is still the fault of right-wing Christians for drumming up hatred of Planned Parenthood.

  12. Guys, what would be the likely scenario is the Dems got all 3 branches and did actually attempt a nationwide confiscation of guns?

I think a lot of people, maybe hundreds, maybe thousands, would just start killing politicians, media figures and liberals. There really would be no way for the government to confiscate all the guns because most police are pro gun proles. My brother suggested that maybe martial law would work but most soldiers are also pro gun proles. The likely result of any gun grabbing attempt I think would just be mass violence followed by the government admitting failure, which would inevitably lead to dissolution of the country.

A couple of weeks ago I would have thought that banning guns would be something so obviously self destructive that the left would never attempt it, but recently I feel like we are dealing with a new breed of leftist that has lost all grasp of reality. In Europe, Merkel continues to flood the continent with terrorists despite seeing that it is dramatically strengthening the anti-immigrant and anti Euro movement. In America, the Left has gone all in on trannies in women’s bathrooms and bringing in more Syrian terrorists despite knowing that it is just handing votes to the Republicans.

What has caused the Left to go so off the rails? They used to be so smart and patient.

    • “What has caused the Left to go so off the rails? They used to be so smart and patient.”

There are books that could be written about that and I would want to read them because I really don’t know myself, but I agree that they’ve gone crazy.

The only thing I can think of is that the left has had so much success in the age of Obama, and little in the way of opposition from the Republican, that they think they have no limits on what they can get away with.
