“Rampage” in San Bernardino?

Yes, that’s what the LA Times is calling it. Not Islamic terrorism. A rampage.

Meanwhile, we now know that the two (not three) suspects were a devoutly religious Muslim of Pakistani origin, Syed Rizwan Farook, and his Saudi Arabian bride [actually she may have been a Pakistani living in Saudi Arabia]. He allegedly met the Saudi Arabian woman, Tashfeen Malik, online, and went to Saudi Arabia to meet her in person, and then they were married.

The mainstream media, which is trying to pin the terrorism label on the crazy guy who shot people at Planned Parenthood, is trying to assign this obvious case of terrorism to workplace violence.

  1. I’m watching Morning Joe this morning, and their coverage is virtually identical to their coverage of Sandy Hook; it’s all, “What are we going to do about guns?” I don’t think I’ve heard terrorism once.

    • I am sure we will hear calls for “common sense Muslim control” any time now.

  2. The NY Times comment section (1869 comments so far ) is practically wall to wall about the ‘guns’,
    the NRA and the Republicans.
Very little about two members of ‘The Religion of Peace’ being involved.

Here’s a few of the most recent posts:
(As The Donald would say: “There’s thousands of them just like this.”

As always, the immediate aftermath will be a stony silence from the Official IRA, (sorry, Official NRA) plus copious humbug from their paid advocates and sock-puppets on this forum and others, and, most important of all, from their paid lickspittles in Congress.

When are we going to stop letting the gun nuts, with their willful misreading of the 2d Amendment, control the debate about gun control in this country?

We all know the NRA’s response to this. If the victims also had guns, none of this would have happen. Insanity surrounds this issue!

We remain a major terrorist country. Out here in the West UT and WY) congress persons and senators love guns more than they love their children, if they have them. I am glad that Adam Nagourney is still a reporter at the NYT.

  4. It’s not going to work this time. Everybody knows this is a terrorism AND immigration issue. Big boon for our side.

Hopefully stupid Christians will shut up about abortion for a little bit so we can focus on the immigrants.

  5. Quoting from Sailer;

    Dave Pinsen

Conservative: “Phew! It was a Muslim.
Maybe liberals won’t talk about banning assault rifles for the next 3 months.”

Liberal: “Phew! He used an assault rifle.
Maybe conservatives won’t talk about banning Muslims for the next 3 months.”

  6. Not terrorism. The guy worked for the company he shot up. Don’t be like the idiot leftists who want to label every shooting “terrorism” because it “spreads fear.” Terrorism has a specific political definition, and odds are, this guy had a beef with his workplace or co-workers. It’s workplace violence, very unlike the Ft. Hood shooting, which involved a military target and a guy who shouted “Praise to Allah!” and was known to have been radicalized and to support suicide bombings.

    • That could be the case if it was just him. But TWO people, both Muslims, involved in a shooting, that’s caused by jihadism.

      • “But TWO people, both Muslims”
“Two” is a guy and his mail-order wife.

    • Uh huh. Because every guy who has a beef with his coworkers has his wife (and possibly a buddy? what happened to the supposed third shooter?) fully armed and standing by to participate in a massacre complete with IEDs.

If you kill your hated coworkers for jihad… yes, that’s terrorism.

  7. I’m all for using this tragedy to demonize immigrants but I do think we should recognize that most muslims don’t support this kind of stuff. Sure, they supported 9-11 but that was more of an anti Israel thing. They def don’t support the kind of stuff like what happened in Paris or this thing that just happened now.

The real problem is that a huge minority of the DO in fact support this stuff and there is no way to separate the crazies from the relatively normal muslims. Also a lot of muslims are normal and then just get Sudden Jihad Syndrome.

    • Who cares if “most” don’t. Enough do to justify a policy of exclusion from the country.

Let’s not condemn all of the Nazis for the crimes of a few. Most Nazis did not support or participate in the Holocaust. Why do you want to blame the rest for the crimes of a few? Every group has bad apples in it!

  8. I got a kick out of this:

” A man who has been working in the area said he noticed a half-dozen Middle Eastern men in the area in recent weeks, but decided not to report anything since he did not wish to racially profile those people.”

    The lesson? Political Correctness kills

  9. Check Drudge – the Post is calling them “Muslim killers.” And Drudge’s headline is “Jihad comes to Cali.” The MSM’s flimsy efforts to paint this as workplace violence, and a rampage, are going to fail. I don’t agree when people say things like, “Tonight Trump was elected President,” because anything can happen between now and the election, but this is going to galvanize a massive response in the people who are still sitting on the fence.

The Overton window has been opened wide.
