More to come…
8:45 Just noticed that Ted Cruz is short compared to the other candidates. Maybe this sounds like a frivolous comment, but it has been observed that short candidates do worse at the polls.
8:57 Cruz is saying that “radical Islamic terrorism” is the enemy and the president won’t name it. Sounds like he’s copying Donald Trump.
9:11 Christie says because he used to be a lawyer he’s uniquely qualified to combat ISIS. Huh?
9:16 Cruz is talking over the heads of the typical prole white voter. Trump’s advantage is that he sticks to the big picture.
9:20 Now Christie is making fun of Cruz Rubio and Paul debating over nuances of Senate bills that 99% of the audience doesn’t care about.
9:35 So far, this debate pans out as Rubio and Cruz attacking each other and leaving Trump alone.
10:51 These debates are tiring… anyway, just noted how Trump was asked about the “nuclear triad,” he has no idea what the question is about, so he talks about the problem of nuclear proliferation instead. Rubio then smugly goes into policy details, no doubt thinking “ha ha Trump, I know so much more about this stuff than you do.”
While I’m writing, I should mention that earlier in the debate, Rubio was forced to admit that he approved amnesty, which weakens him. Then Rubio attacked Cruz for wanting to increase legal immigration.
