The Hill making fun of Jeb Bush?

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) — who has seen his support plunge amid Trump’s rise — predicted at a private Dallas fundraiser in mid-November that Trump would falter by the next GOP debate.
“Come December 15, Trump will be in decline,” Bush reportedly said.

But on the eve of Christmas, Trump still tops the Republican field by 17 points, even as Bush lags behind in the single digits.

  1. I think Jeb, by his persistent, languishing presence in this race, makes more fun of himself than any political blog or commentator can ever hope to accomplish on their own!

    • Jeb is being embarrassed and ill-served by his campaign staff, who know how hopeless it is but want to keep collecting pay checks for a few more months.

  3. I’ve felt a shift among MSM priests this week. Might be adjusting to Trump a bit.

  4. Who isn’t making fun of Jeb Bush?

  5. You know, the Bush clan reminds me of what that old show Dynasty would have been like if they used the cast of the Brady Bunch. Which one is Jeb? I’m thinking Jan.

  7. Lion, do you have any thoughts on Switzerland’s vote to end the fractional reserve banking system?

  8. OT – Any theories on why young attractive teachers, who could get tons of men, fall for their students?

    December 25, 2015 at 1:33 pm

    • They subconsciously compete with young female students for the attention of young male students. The problem is that the female teachers are older and thus have less sexual market place value. So they put out to compensate for their age. As we all know, trouble ensues when that happens.

    • Proximity/propinquity is often one of the overlooked factors in the formation of relationships, both platonic and romantic

      December 25, 2015 at 3:25 pm

    • plus trying to recapture their youth, since many women aren’t interested in growing up and acting like adults nowadays, and youth is a very important asset for women

    • They can’t control their students, thus making the students high status. Students also have more opportunity to show pre-selection.

    • Most have been young, single and not that far out of school themselves. when they spend all day with teenagers they lose perspective and start acting like they’re in high school again. Plus, a decent looking young woman banging a high school boy isn’t seen as rape the way the converse would be. When you see a 17 yr old guy tapping a hot teacher you don’t think “Poor kid.” You think “Lucky bastard!”

On the other hand, there’s Herbert the Pervert…

    • 1) They are crazy

      2) They enjoy the power they have over the students

      3) They are immature

    • It is forbidden, which for some makes it almost irresistible. “Christianity has done a great deal for sex by making it a sin.”

      • Yup, Christianity totally popularized incest, sex with animals, and sacrifices to Moloch. Forbidding them made them irresistible!

    • The husbands of these women are terribly beta in behavior. Inevitably in these articles the husband says he is standing by her and interested in working it out. None have the self respect to call her a tramp and say they are moving on. Suspect a wiseass teenager a few years younger than you could become appealing. The missing piece that allowed this to happen recently is cell phone texting.

  9. In a story line in the TV show “Cheers”, Diane leaves Frazier at the altar in Italy and hides in a monastery. He tracks her down and accuses her of humiliating him, that now in Italy if a soccer player tries to kick a ball and falls down, it’s called a “Frazier”.

She tells him it’s just a coincidence, and he shouts “If he’s knocked out cold it’s called a Frazier Crane!!!”

Any really humiliating failure by a pompous jerk should now be called a Jeb Bush.

    • You mean she’s ugly.

These days, being a “beast” is often used in a positive way.

      December 26, 2015 at 5:48 pm

      • I’m old. When I say “beast” it does not mean the opposite of that.

        December 26, 2015 at 6:55 pm

Beast tends to mean a combination of “A person or thing that looks tough, ripped, cut, or has an intimidating presence” and “a person who is very good at something” especially at sports.

If you see someone at the gym who is muscular and hits the weights really hard, you might say that he or she is a beast.

So when I heard she was a “beast” I thought maybe she was big in a good athletic kind of way, but she’s just fat and ugly.

      • Nah, definitely not that kind of beast. But that definition is a new one on me.

        December 26, 2015 at 7:05 pm

    • Very shocking. Does that look like a women born in privilege? She is the daughter of a governor, niece of a president, granddaughter of a president and great-granddaughter of a US senator yet she acts like a total prole. Jeb! did not raise his daughter well.

      December 27, 2015 at 12:14 am

      • He married a troll, and the resulting offspring are (naturally enough) also trolls. This is yet more evidence of Jeb’s innate worthlessness.

  10. Even before Trump started to rise in the polls, I heard all the time from people that they didn’t want another Bush in the White House. Trump just takes advantage of that bias.
