State of the Union
I didn’t watch it. I was playing a game on my iPad.

However, it’s streamed on YouTube, so it was not my lack of cable TV which prevented me from watching it.

Whenever Obama speaks, it feels as if he’s wagging his finger at a child who has misbehaved.

Obama publicly endorsed HBD and proposed a national eugenics program.

I’m reasonably certain he knows what’s up on the IQ front. In fact, I feel certain the weakness of competition in the black leader field probably contributed to his career choice. Here, after all, was a guy who knew virtually no blacks growing up so he developed an entire fantasy world around his father and his royal roots. So complete that high school classmates thought he was some kind of prince.
Imagine his shock to arrive in 1) the mainland; and 2) Kenya and to encounter the ugly truth? This is the central event of his life that never appears in biographies.

Mate, I saw the end of it by my mother’s. It was the worst State of the Union ever. You have to watch it to review it for us. You can do it on the iPad. This is not a president of the US, this is an enemy of this country.
Yakov
January 12, 2016 at EDT pm
Yes, and the other enemies are Sheldon Silver, Andrew Cuomo, Bill de Blasio, the Clintons, the Bushes..Chris Christie.

Obama goes:
‘Democracy fails when people feel that their voice doesn’t matter. Unfortunately there are too many people in this country who feel this way. ‘
Exactly, but how about telling us WHY people feel this way, eh? And whom was he referring too anyway? The negros probably. Idiot.
Yakov
January 12, 2016 at EDT pm
Exactly, all lies. He mentioned corporations having too much power, but it doesn’t seem to bother him that those corps are full of powerful women who routinely fire men for uttering a wrong word. Just the other day in Manhattan a white man lawyer was fired for referring to a janitor as an “illegal.”

This is one of the worst parts about being American…we used to care about our citizens…now we don’t.
In the past, they would have gotten those hostages home. Now…no one cares. It’s all alienation and selfishness all the way down.
Sad. Those are people’s lives.
jjbees
January 13, 2016 at EDT am
This happened in1979 too. After the election, the Iranians released everybody and ran away with their tail between their legs because they were so afraid of Reagan. The same thing would probably happen with Trump or Cruz.

And these are the sorts of things that you can’t quantify, but make the quality of life and “greatness” of America diminished.
Sort of like how we don’t try to do crazy things like put men on the moon anymore. Compared to the trillions we spend on entitlements so r-selected people can reproduce like bacteria and complain they don’t get enough money, we ought to throw a few billion into space exploration and things that qualitatively make the US a great place…but we don’t.
The cynical bread and circus attitude of our leaders is why democracy was doomed to fail. It’s simply a race to the bottom.
We need a race to the top. We need incentives for excellence, and there are NONE. I have to get up early in the morning to go to work, so I can’t expound further.

The more interesting story is that Obama and Nikki Haley both attacked Trump while painstakingly avoiding any mention of his name. The spectre of Trump looms over every word a politician speaks, even a sitting President. It is glorious to watch.

Here’s a recap: blah, blah, blah
Diversity is our strength . . . blah, blah, blah
Did I mention that diversity is our strength? . . . blah, blah, blah
You know, few people remember that diversity got us to the moon . . . blah, blah, blah
We could go to the moon again if we were only more diverse . . . blah, blah, blah
If we become really, really, really diverse we might even make it to Mars . . . blah, blah, blah
Some people [dog whistle Donald Trump] don’t value diversity enough which you know, is our strength . . .
blah, blah, blah
INNER VOICE: Boy, the lighting in this place makes Michelle look pretty weird, especially when she’s clapping overly hard and has that frantic look on her face . . . blah, blah, blah
Some day I won’t be President . . . [INNER VOICE: Nooooooooo!!!!!]

I was at a friends, and it was on in the background with the sound off.
It emphasized that when he was not speaking, Obama tilted his head up in that Shepard Fairey pose of defiance/arrogance/smugness. He has practiced and posed it plenty, and infused it with all the disdain he feels for the things around him.
Behind him, Joe Biden sat with an unchanging, beatific smile on his face. Paul Ryan had a neutral smile, but occasionally would fidget with a look of open disgust; probably from the moments when Obama announces, “the country needs to be fundamentally transformed, right down to the DNA of its inhabitants.”

That makes the most sense to me. But would she pass vetting for VP with all the open marriage rumors? The rumors are credible as far as rumors go, and the Clinton’s definitely fight dirty enough to make sure it gets plastered all over the place. She seems like a dead end from the start.
Of course, this is the same GOPe that gave over 100million to Jeb!, so they may not have thought that far ahead.

January 13, 2016 at EDT pm
All the clueless GOP donor class sees when they look at Haley is a woman who is minority “enough” to get some minority votes yet white “enough” to have a seat at the table. I know some of these people and they aren’t that bright.
They think the same thing about Rubio – that because the guy is Cuban that Hispanics all over the country will be lining up to vote for him. They just don’t get the racial dynamics and how Hispanics don’t even consider Cubans to be Latino. And minorities won’t consider Haley to be minority either. Not enough to vote for her. The minute you become a Republican you lose all of your minority victimhood privileges. But to answer your question – yes she would pass getting VP despite those rumors because the GOP donor class are a bunch of fools.

And Lincoln Diaz-Balart gave the Spanish language GOP response, which was not exactly a word for word translation of what Haley said.
English: “We must fix our broken immigration system. That means stopping illegal immigration. And it means welcoming properly vetted legal immigrants, regardless of their race or religion. Just like we have for centuries.”
Spanish: “It’s essential that we find a legislative solution to protect our nation, defend our borders, offer a permanent and human solution to those who live in the shadows, respect the rule of law, modernize the visa system and push the economy forward.”
Hmm, “offer a permanent and human solution to those who live in the shadows”
That sure sounds like amnesty to me.
If anybody hears an establishment GOP figure claim the party does not support amnesty, just remember, this is what’s known as “pissing in their face and telling them it’s raining.”

I’m obsessed with protecting my family and my property, as well as myself. You’re a city boy, you know of TNB as well as anyone (I hope). I like cars, especially European cars. I often watch review videos, etc. I own one as well, so it’s not just idle dreaming. But is it prole? I think rich people just don’t give a shit. The truly rich probably get driven everywhere (Trump, etc.), so they don’t care. The guys buying Ferrari’s and other super cars, are not billionaire rich. I sense there is some kind of divide. Would appreciate your thoughts.
