Gang up on Rubio night

It’s in everyone’s interest to attack Rubio at tonight’s debate. Bush, Kasich and Christie hope to de-seat him as the GOPe choice. Cruz wants to remain relevant by coming in second place and not third place behind Rubio. Trump wants anyone but Rubio to come in second place to avoid the GOPe from rallying around him and all of the other candidates dropping out.

It’s potentially going to be a lot of fun to watch. And Trump is almost guaranteed to come out the winner.

  1. Lion: when is Cruz going to drop out? Will his sure to be horrific performance in NH cost him in SC?

    • Cruz is not dropping out until at least after Super Tuesday. And if he has enough money, he will probably hang in until the bitter end.

  2. The way to give Rubio the boot is to make him own the immigration amnesty issue. So far he’s been weaseling around it, but someone, and it’s probably Trump when he decides he is going after Rubio, is going to have to make it clear that with Rubio you get amnesty.

  3. it’s definitely in trumps interest to see cruz come in second. or even better, kasich to come in second in NH and cruz third. that way cruz will remain in the race for longer because he will just the NH result to kasich’s strength in NH and still think he has a chance later.
