Marco Rubio gay rumors

Not that there’s anything wrong with being gay. But evangelicals think there is. And Rubio is relying on the evangelical vote.

Thanks to commenter “Curle” for the info.

  1. Lion: your fans want your review of season 1 of “Serial”. When can we expect it?

Also, do you think Rubio is gay or not? I’m on the fence.

  2. Whaddaya mean nothing wrong with being gay? When are fruits going to pay back those tens of billions of str8 tax dollars spent on AIDS research? For that money, we could re-pave every hwy in America and give every jig elocution lessons.

    • You’re one sick individual! When was it said that AIDS is a Gay disease? Infection rates among the Heterosexual population are the numbers that keep rising! The Gay Community’s rate of infection has gone way down……why is that? Because morons like you still think that it’s a ‘Gay Disease’….WRONG! Look up your information before you post! AIDS knows NO Sexual Preference! It only knows how to destroy! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

  3. Bernardo Bertolucci made this movie in 1970: “The Conformist . . . is a film that equates the rise and fall of Italian Fascism, from the early 1920’s until 1943, with the short, dreadful, very romantic life of Marcello (Jean-Louis Trintignant), a young man for whom conformity becomes a kind of obsession after a traumatic homosexual encounter in his youth.”

See, Rubio’s whole political career as a Tea Party/religious/neo-con conservative is really an overcompensation for his earlier homosexuality.

  4. In a perfect example of cowardly, passive-aggressive “journalism,” Jezebel had an article a couple of days ago about what the author termed a “disgusting” sexual rumor involving Ted Cruz during his student days at Princeton. The author then said that because she was unable to get confirmation from anyone who knew Cruz at the time, she would not say what exactly this rumor involved.
Needless to say, if the intent was to smear Cruz, it worked. Merely mentioning a “disgusting” sexual rumor is enough to accomplish that. It isn’t necessary to be more specific.
Of course this is unlikely to damage his campaign much if at all. I’d say there is almost zero overlap between (a) potential Cruz supporters and (b) people who take Jezebel seriously.

    February 7, 2016 at 2:25 pm

    • In other words, just Jezebel being Jezebel.

      February 7, 2016 at 3:32 pm

    • What? He used to hang out with Haven Monahan?

      February 7, 2016 at 3:59 pm

    • I read an article some time back which interviewed people Cruz went to school with. In the article, the reporter says, “I hear Cruz was popular with girls on the debate team.” To which his former classmate, a woman, replies, “Being popular with girls on the debate team isn’t the same as being popular with girls.” Proving once again that women HATE betas.

A lot of betas are “nice guys”. But it’s impossible to find anyone who actually knows Cruz who doesn’t hate him. Cruz’s old college roommate has been giving him hell on twitter. The roommate lobs some decent insults at Cruz and come-backs for those who take exception. Some are listed here.

      February 7, 2016 at 5:03 pm

      • Cruz is a slime bag.

What’s with this betas stuff? The majority of people are by definition mediocre. The majority of people manage to get married & have kids. Get off your high horse, buddy.

    • “I’d say there is almost zero overlap between (a) potential Cruz supporters and (b) people who take Jezebel seriously.”

Sure but I wonder if this is the same story that Allum Bokhari at Breitbart has been hinting about for a few days:

      • Reading comments on the Jezebel story it appears the rumors have something to do with taking a dump in the wrong place, Yawn.

        February 7, 2016 at 7:30 pm

  5. That’s not a rumor about being gay. It’s a story about being gay for pay. Lots of young men have to work their way through school doing jobs they don’t necessarily like. Most of those young men are straight.

    February 7, 2016 at 2:49 pm

    • I was just about to comment on this. How do we know Rubio wasn’t turning tricks back in 1990? He must have been real pretty back then. Maybe Chris Christie reminds him of the fat john whose abuse forced him out of the rent boy business.

I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen someone get schlonged as hard as Rubio got schlonged last night. His repeated robotic responses are exactly what you’d expect from a victim of sexual abuse who’s having a flashback.

  6. Any reasonably attractive male politician is given the “secret gay” rumor at some point in his career.

    February 7, 2016 at 3:01 pm

    • I remember hearing them about Reagan and Kemp.

      February 8, 2016 at 11:00 am

    • Ann Coulter said Bill Clinton is gay, and I think she called John Edwards a “faggot.”

      February 8, 2016 at 2:00 pm

      • That’s why Ann Coulter is the best.

  7. Along with Rubio and Barrios, a third friend was arrested in the car that night in that Miami park. I’m not an expert on men having sex with men, but three’s a crowd.

  8. As a quick summary: we know that the man Rubio was arrested with in 1990 was sued by Miami in 2007 for running a gay pornography studio out of one of his properties.

After Ricky Martin it’s really easy to imagine most smiling Latino public figures being a potential closet monger.

It will be funny if MSNBC and the rest of far left media goes after Rubio on this when no one on the left called for the resignation of Barney Frank after the revelations of him fixing tickets for his gay prostitute boyfriend or having the gay escort service run out of one of his residences.

  10. Liberals only think it’s OK to be gay if you are a liberal also- or black, or Hispanic, or a woman. It’s not ever OK to be a straight white male, but being a liberal makes it less bad,

    February 7, 2016 at 8:28 pm

  11. I noticed in the debates that Rubio has a lisp. That in itself doesn’t necessarily mean he’s gay but combined with the rumors it makes you wonder.

    Jay Fink

    February 7, 2016 at 8:40 pm

    • That “lisp” is common among those who are native speakers of some variant of Castilian Spanish (which includes Cubans).

  12. Rubio and two high school friends get caught drinking beer in a park after hours. Seventeen years later, one of those friends owns an apartment building. One of his tenants makes porn videos in the building, against city regulation. Therefore Rubio is gay.

Hard to see how this could be more lame.

    February 7, 2016 at 10:16 pm

    • From what I understand the details regarding the actual nature of the infraction/charge were destroyed. All we have to support the ‘drinking beer’ claim is the word of one of the participants. So, there is a plausible innocent explanation for whatever charge was received. However, as a heterosexual male I’d never knowingly go to a gay cruising locale (if it was such) to drink beer. And, the only time I’ve been, inadvertently, at such a place I quickly realized what was going on and high tailed it out of there. Here’s what happened to me. A friend and I went to a park to look for locations for an office party. As we proceeded through the park guys immediately started catcalling and whistling at us from bushes. We clued in, turned around and left. I wonder if the gays in Miami are so well behaved that they would have left a boyish and good looking young Marco alone to enjoy his beer in peace?

      February 7, 2016 at 11:13 pm

      • A likely story Curle. Let’s hope you never run for president, because you’ve given the world a lot more content with which to cobble together a plausible “secret gay narrative” than anything Rubio has done.

        February 8, 2016 at 10:56 am

      • Sorry, but this story is just idiotic.

        February 8, 2016 at 1:40 pm

      • Here’s an article dating to ’95 describing Wainwright Park as a major gay cruising spot.

Assuming it was as bad in ’90, I can understand being confused initially about the nature of the locale. But, not long enough to get arrested for underage drinking. Any normal young male would have figured what was going on and left long before finishing his beer. Plus, what male in his forties has such a long term male benefactor? Sounds weird to me.

  13. Blindgossip had a blind on Rubio being gay a few weeks ago.

    February 8, 2016 at 12:34 pm

  14. So much cultural imperialism in here. Please don’t try to impose your Euro-heteronormative ideas on sexuality onto Latino men. They view sexuality in a more “fluid and vibrant” way as compared to stale, linear, concrete, predictable, and absolute European ideas of gay-itude.

    February 8, 2016 at 12:49 pm

  15. Black men who have secretive sex with other black men, all while maintaining intimate relationships with women, are “keeping it on the down low.” Does this phrase apply to Hispanic and White men (like that married DC lawyer who got stabbed a year ago by a black female posing as a male escort)?
