Rubio won the thing in DC

37.3% for Rubio and 35.5% for Kasich.

That Kasich came in so close behind Rubio indicates that the GOPe is now split between Kasich and Rubio.

Neither Trump nor Cruz won any delegates in DC, although they did win some votes.

* * *

And Cruz won the thing in Wyoming with 66.3% of the vote, which means that the party people in the interior west really love Cruz. Cruz will have a lot of support at a contested convention.

However, the majority of delegates from Wyoming are not assigned until April 14-16, so it is not yet settled that Cruz has Wyoming as one of the states needed to satisfy Rule 40(b)

  1. I love how different the DC results are from the rest of the country.

    • DC is the GOPe dream. It’s what they wish the rest of the country looked like.

  2. That Rule 40b point is good.

    Colorado and I guess Wyoming have their electors chosen by party hacks and could be a +2 for a candidate who needs the 8 states.

  4. There is no establishment at this point, only an anti-Trump movement.

  5. Now Rubio can brag he’s the top pick among lobbyists and lawyers.

    That’s a bumper sticker right there.
