Latest polls show Trump has 20+ lead in Florida

There are three new Florida polls released today and yesterday. They show Trump with a 23, 20, and 21 point lead over Rubio.

On the other hand, two new Ohio polls show a tie and a 6-point lead for Kasich.

This continues the trend I’ve been pointing out for the last two weeks, that Rubio is collapsing and Kasich is gaining strength (although too little and too late to actually win the majority of delegates).

Once again, even though I hate Kasich for being pro-amnesty and for taking the side of violent leftist protesters instead of a fellow Republican, the GOPe obviously made a huge mistake in going with Rubio instead of Kasich. The Democratic strategists are all Ivy Leaguers, while the dominant GOP strategist, Karl Rove, is a state-school dropout. No wonder why Republicans are losing.

  1. I hate Kasich. He has the face of a smug shithead. He looks better suited to be the asshole coach of a Little League team or something.

I don’t know how stupid Ohioans can vote for him when he stated clearly that he’ll legalize aliens and he’s pro Obamatrade.

  2. GOPe have always been pro-Amnesty. The last major amnesty was a product of Reagan and a Republican Senate.

  3. Yes.

The Democratic Party is the Party of the rich.

    March 13, 2016 at 12:31 pm

    • More the party of rich liberals. The GOP was the party of rich conservatives, though now I don’t know.

    • What do all these people have in common?

      Paul Allen
      David Geffen
      John Doerr
      Dianne Feinstein
      Teresa H- Kerry
      Mark Cuban

      • All Democrats? All billionaires? (How the heck did Oprah become a billionaire from being a talk show host?)

      • Oprah became rich because she owned the show that was syndicated from what I understand.

It’s amazing Zuckerberg is so rich from a website like Facebook, It’s not like he invented the computer..

      • No, computers were the inevitable result of the work of a very large number of nerdy engineers working at Intel for decent salaries, but very modest compared to what partners at law firms or investment bankers make.

      • By owning a syndicated talk show.

      • I’m not sure Elon Musk and Mark Cuban belong on the list. Musk dabbled in immigration reform a few years ago. But they’re more libertarian independent types. Not Democrats.

        March 13, 2016 at 3:30 pm

      • They are all Democrat billionaires (“rich” is such an ancient word). Their wealth isn’t tied to the soil unlike Trump’s, a reason why he is a nationalist and they are not. I told a friend in Europe that they can’t understand that Trump is a Texan born in New York.

      • (How the heck did Oprah become a billionaire from being a talk show host?)

She got a monopoly on being “Oprah”. She cornered the market on that Oprah product and became the sole distributor.

  4. In 2010 Kasich opposed illegal immigration and even advocated abolishing the 14th amendment to get rid of birthright citizenship. By 2014 he had “evolved” and advocated legal status. If he hadn’t sold out to the donors he would have been a great choice. Of course, if he hadn’t sold out he wouldn’t have had the money and support to even run.

  5. Karl Rove is the boss of some third-rate Super PAC and a TV talking-head. Can you name a single, actual, currently-employed GOP candidate strategist? I guarantee they are Ivy Leaguers.

  7. Excellent post by Diana West on Trump hating maniacs among the Republicans.

Remember these people aren’t leftists, Sandernistas, black, illegal aliens, “cultural marxists” etc.

    She belongs on your blogroll.

Thank you, dislocated yankees. We always knew your presence here would yield positive results some day.

  9. However, if Kasich had been the GOPe’s anointed next-in-line instead of Rubio, it is conceivable Trump would have dispensed with him just as he dispensed with Rubio. Perhaps not as quickly and easily as Foam Boy, but the highway of wreckage in Trump’s wake is like Iraq circa 1991. I have not see anything to suggest Kasich would have stood up to Trump any differently. He’s only the latest anyone-but-Trump given a battlefield promotion by a desperate GOPe.

  10. GOP should recruit their strategists in engineering schools, which are less leftist. MIT, Stanford, etc. Maybe places like U.Chicago and suchlike too. Obviously the recruits will have to be reoriented into crunching a different sort of numbers, but that should be the least problem. Intelligence, can-do and a preference for truthful numbers and optimization will do just fine against the Ivies.

I can’t believe I have to point this out. (Gestures: GOPe, call me.)

    March 13, 2016 at 4:45 pm

    • It seems the GOP and many conservatives are really leftist on diversity, immigration, anti-discrimination and globalization judging by their reaction to Trump. They might want a little lower taxes on the rich.

Even Trump has said anything about the all the anti-discrimination laws and affirmative-action from what I can tell.

      March 13, 2016 at 5:42 pm

    • The GOP is kinda staid and boring, and you have to kiss a lot of old dowagers’ asses. The aides and staffers who latch on to them and thrive are like Rubio – glib, superficial on ideology and effeminate. Connected somehow too. Play their cards right, they’ll end up as chief of staff for some congressman, or get a lead on a plum job in the private sector. Losers run for office.

  12. It’s thisclose to being Trump all the way. It’ll be interesting if the *cough* conservatives can gang up against him.

    Thank you Mr. Trump.

  13. Horowitz: How Not To Fight Our Enemies

Some Republicans seem more intent on destroying their allies……According to the proudly positive John Kasich, it was Trump who created the “toxic environment” that led to the riot – not the fascist movement that has been metastasizing in our universities and streets for more than a decade.

In other words, when you finally go on the attack, attack a Republican rather than a Democrat. That way you get a pass.

  14. There are reports of disruptive protests at Trump rallies in Florida. Trump supporters have to come up with an effective counter to this.

Not to mention Dimassimo was just interviewed – sympathetically – on CNN. What country do I live in? How do we make CNN pay for this?
