Indiana analysis

Indiana delegate rules are here.

Indiana votes on May 3, a week after the Northeast Super Tuesday primaries.

Indiana is a Rust Belt state. Trump has been strong in Rust Belt states. Trump won all of the bordering states except for Ohio, but Kasich isn’t governor in Indiana. I call Indiana for Trump.

Indiana, like Wisconsin and Maryland, is winner-take-all by congressional district, and winner-take-all for at-large delegates. I will be optimistic that Trump sweeps every district and wins all of Indiana’s 57 delegates.

This is a huge win for Trump. In the previous post I predicted that Trump would have 935 delegates after Northeast Super Tuesday. With another 57 delegates, he is now at 992 delegates, and closing in on the magic number of 1237.

  1. Indiana is full of religious people and is a so-called “right-to-work” state. Historically it has been a center of Klan activity.

  2. Lion, your analysis is good, but Trump’s candidacy has a messianic dimension. He will win the nomination. Don’t waste your time, go to gym and blog about that.
