Trump wins huge in Arizona

Even though he only needs to win by one vote in order to win all of Arizona’s delegates, his current huge 25-point lead over Cruz (with a little less than half the vote counted) gives him big momentum going into the crucial Wisconsin primary.

The Cruz brand just doesn’t carry outside of Bible-belt states.

  1. This news was really wonderful to come to…especially in light of the road blocking protests.

  2. All of the delagates aren’t counted yet, but Ted Cruz is losing to “All others,” in Arizona.

And Mr Amnesty Kasich didn’t get any traction either.

  3. I was just typing this about Hillary screaming then I saw your tweet about it. Talk about irritating. She sounds ok when she just talks in an interview..

Hillary talking about fear-mongering. I hope Trump destroys her..

  4. This is a good video by some guy who voted for Trump.

  5. Kasich lost to Rubio. Wat?

    • Coming in 4th in a three man race: everybody get on board the Kasich Train!

      March 23, 2016 at 11:35 am

  6. Arizona and Utah seem like two ends of the spectrum. Arizona is probably the most fanatically anti-immigration state in the country. Utah is the most uptight and obsessed with propriety and manners. So it’s not surprising that Trump would do great in one and terrible in the other.

  7. Sightly OT, but what do you think about that naked Melania Trump ad that one of Cruz’s PACs put out, Lion?

    March 23, 2016 at 5:21 am

    • It doesn’t work on any level.

There are many people who are impressed at him for having a hot wife, and think anyone who objects to Trump on those grounds is an Omega male.

Anyone who is…how to put this…*not* to the right of a fish knife on social issues will find the “slut shaming” obnoxious.

I can imagine even the socons not seeing what the big deal is (certainly not to the point of changing their vote either way) and possibly finding it patronising to think they’ll be influenced by it.

Honestly, can’t tell who exactly this ad is aimed at – people who weren’t already adamantly anti-Trump to begin with, at least. And it could backfire even with them. It’s a bit like how Wendy Davis lost her last vestiges of support from the left once she made fun of her opponent for being in a wheelchair; obviously, any effect would be less dramatic but at best the entire ad is a colossal waste of money.

      March 23, 2016 at 9:51 am

    • “Hey everyone, my opponent’s wife is smoking hot” — yeah that’s a great strategy.

      March 23, 2016 at 10:05 am

    • Donald Trump tweeted the following yesterday:

“Lyin’ Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin’ Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!”

He is a master of suspense.

      March 23, 2016 at 10:27 am

      • Trump is referring, I assume, to Mrs. Cruz’s ties to Goldman Sachs, but the MSM is spinning that in the headlines as “Trump threatens Ted Cruz’s wife”.

  8. cruz stomped trump in utah. i think its best to say that cruz doesnt win the bible belt perse, he wins the flanders belt.

    • Flanders belt! Perfect. Yes, Cruz I’m sure does well among the religious, self-righteous prig crowd.

  9. Even 538 is pointing out that there are no more states left dominated by stupid Christians/Mormons.

Mormons are such utter scum I can’t even believe it.

Looking forward to Wisconsin polls. If we win Wisconsin I think we got this.

    • Mormons are such utter scum I can’t even believe it.

I used to have neutral to positive views on Mormons. Never met any but I thought they were harmless and law abiding etc.

Of course the religion is an embarrassment to any intelligent adult.

But the more I’m paying attention to them through their convert Glenn Beck to their beliefs, their politics – even this turnaround on their racial views from quasi-White supremacist to SWPL, virtue signaling, love of everybody non-White as pure and wonderful – the more I’m getting less neutral toward them.

They aren’t so harmless after all.

      March 23, 2016 at 8:13 am

      • Mormons have never been ‘harmless’. They’re Stepford on steroids. A cult that should be monitored and contained.

        March 23, 2016 at 9:23 am

      • They are truly weird, but what they built in remote communities out west is amazing. If you’ve ever spent any time around them, however, they are….off-putting. It is very cult-like.

Their history shows that they are very practical and they give in when they must, to gain power. Research their history on plural marriage. When dropping it was a condition of admission to the Union, they did. Before that, it was a sacrament.

They used to be big into racial categorization, and now they are 100% multi-cult. But multi-cult is now the law of the land, so they are multi-cult. Look up Mia Love. They really are an empty religion. But damn, they get things done.

        March 23, 2016 at 9:26 am

      • I know some Morms, and generally like them. Their establishment, on the other hand, is scum.

        March 23, 2016 at 9:52 am

      • I’ve dealt with a number of Mormons over the years, and with one exception (a woman who had largely broken with the church) have found them to be rather unpleasant. They had an I’m-better-than-you attitude that even Christian fundamentalists don’t usually share. I’ve got the impression that there are two types of people in the world, Mormons and non-Mormons, and the latter are useful solely as targets for conversion.

In contrast, cultural weirdness aside I’ve found most of the Muslims I’ve known have been decent or at least tolerable.

        March 23, 2016 at 10:08 am

      • The Muslims who work all the food carts in NYC seem nice enough when they are selling you something to eat.

      • They seem to be very obedient about taking orders from their hierarchy. When the people at the top are thinking clearly, then we all benefit from their collective action. When the people at the top of the Mormon pyramid are not thinking clearly (as in the case of their recent embrace of mass immigration), then we all pay a price for the Mormon hive mind. The beehive on Utah state symbols makes a lot of sense.

        March 23, 2016 at 10:35 am

      • Mormons are the try-to-fit-in-est of Americans. Some of them still have Ward & June Cleaver thing going on from their earlier efforts to fit in. It’s natural that now they would drift toward fitting in with the dominant Swpl culture.

        March 23, 2016 at 10:36 am

      • The thing to remember about Mormons (in case you don’t know) is that they have a HUGE inferiority complex about not being taken seriously as a legitimate sect of Christianity and instead being viewed as a weird cult. (And indeed, if there were only a hundred of them, they would be viewed as a VERY weird cult based on their beliefs and practices. Their legitimacy is based on social proof [they can’t be THAT weird if there are millions of them] and people being ignorant of their weirder beliefs and practices.)

      • In light of the results of yesterday’s Utah Caucuses, the Party has declare Mormonism to be a counter revolutionary force.

From hereon, the Revolution regards all Mormon’s as Enemies of the People and they will be treated as such.

Despite everything, though, it is such a relief to be done with the Stupid Christians and Mormons. They have no more state’s left. Hope they enjoyed their run this last couple of months because they are done forever as a national political force.

      • The Halal guys setting up their foodie stalls near bars and night clubs among infidels, reeks hypocrisy, don’t you think?

This goes to show that money trumps religion, and many Muslims, unlike the deviant and irrational Hasidic Jews, are crypto-secularists.

        March 23, 2016 at 10:49 am

      • “The Muslims who work all the food carts in NYC seem nice enough when they are selling you something to eat.”

That’s not being “nice.” That’s being servile. They come from very stratified societies are they are good at being servile. You can bet that under their breath as they hand you that stinky falafel they are muttering, “die, white dog.”

        March 23, 2016 at 10:57 am

    • I feel pretty good about Wisconsin. Trump is finally breaking away in the RCP poll average, holding above 40 now

Winning Utah doesn’t do Cruz any favors is post-Lutheran/post-Catholic Wisconsin. People are a little weirded out by Mormons, especially after the viscious propaganda run of The Book of Mormon in theaters. Kasich is done with Jeb! endorsing Cruz. GOPe are putting their effort behind Cruz, and he just too niche to win the blue states which are left.

      March 23, 2016 at 10:13 am

      • Those are very reassuring polls. The numbers look a lot like Arizona’s.

        March 23, 2016 at 11:43 am

  10. I stopped by the extremely geeky CPAC on Saturday, March 5, the last day of it. It was full of brainwashed Cruz supporters. Yet somehow I managed, ignoring the shiny empty-headed kids, to find the most based people there. Spent a lot of time with Pax Dickinson and Chuck C. Johnson. I was hoping to meet Milo Yiannopoulos but he didn’t show, presumably because he spent the previous night committing unspeakable acts with numerous men he just met.

Notably, I hung out with the extremely based Jan Brewer, former governor of Arizona. She is a rather little lady but she went toe-to-toe against the president. Her son, who is at least 6’6″ was with her, so that was a funny contrast.

Jan Brewer endorsed Trump hard on Jan. 27th, one day after Chris Christie. No question she and Sheriff Joe helped deliver Az.

    March 23, 2016 at 9:14 am

    • Michelle Malkin and Dinesh D’Souza are big in CPACC, aren’t they.?
Malkin is smart but batshit, while D’souza is simply batshit. I especially hate the way he indulges in Hollywood slave porn.

      March 23, 2016 at 12:43 pm

  11. Note to MaryK. Heb Booosh just endorsed Cruz. If ever there was proof that Cruz is a phony baloney “conservative,” getting the endorsement of the ultimate Cuckservative from the neo-con, neo-Liberal trash family of Bushes, well this is it.

That was a terribly constructed sentence.
