Staten Island for Donald Trump

I previously explained:

I also predict that Trump’s strongest CD will be the one that includes all of Staten Island and parts of prole Brooklyn. Yes, that’s the same CD that guido congressman Michael Grimm (who once threatened to beat up a reporter) hailed from. I see Trump winning 80% of this district.

(Note that 80% prediction assumed the 64% statewide number was accurate; that poll may have been the outlier on the high end of Trump’s support in New York.)

So it was interesting to read this Washingon Post article featuring interviews with riders of the Staten Island Ferry who are all-in for Trump.

  1. Is that because 80% is the square root of 64%?

  2. i wonder how accurate Lion’s prediction of 80% for Trump in S.I. will be. I’m going to find the actual percentage the next day just to see if there is a significant discrepancy between his prediction and what the vote turned out to be. I think it’s possible that Trump will underperform his polls all throughout NY state. Why would Republican New Yorkers want to contribute to a candidacy that is likely to be defeated in November? Trump’s negatives among women, even Republican women, are at 70% or higher. I don’t see how you can make those votes up with white working class men.

  3. I’m sorry to say that guidos in Staten Island have been screwed over for nth time by our politicos!

It started with Guiliani, who gave his own ethnic group the finger, especially the ones living in a land, whom he deemed as a garbage dump.

Then came Jewish Hizzonerberg. who saw Guido Island like a fantasy no man’s land, and rightly so, when he wanted to install a ferris wheel of all things, and another Guido, Governor Cuomo, said no to him.

The Mongoloid-looking guido, Michael Grimm, another guido favorite, but a disappointment, was indicted for tax fraud.

Then Staten Islanders voted for de Blasio, because he was half guido. Now Trump, not a guido, but you get the picture!
