iRobot called me today

No, they don’t want to hire me as their chief strategist. They just want my proxy vote.

I told the guy I’m going to mail in the proxy form today, but I didn’t tell him that I’m going to vote for the directors that the outside investors are trying to install. Hopefully they will help to increase shareholder value.

  1. Lion – IRBT hasn’t been a great investment for 1 or 5 years. Better bet would be FANUC or KUKA. Or better yet Google or Apple for robots in future.

  2. Thanks for this tip Lion. I added it to my watch list when you blogged it, and grabbed some when it went below 30.

    • I was telling the board to invest in Sberbank and Russian stocks in general when it was bellow $4, had you only listened.

  4. At this point in your life, isn’t self actualization more important than just a job that pays the bill? It appears that conspicuous prolesumption isn’t your cup of tea. Wasting money on all kinds of junk is prole.

    • For normal people productive work perfectly done is self-actualization. Proles have very meaningfully lives. Some pathological types find meaning in bashing America and it’s productive population, but fortunately they are rare.

      • How do proles have meaningful lives? They live a life of crass consumption and work to support that lifestyle.

  5. Glad u are voting for the activists. Shareholder activists are the good guys in most proxy battles

  6. I thought you were talking about Mr. Robot. That is a good show. Glad you recommended it. Looking forward to the next season. Rami Malik, the star, gives off a vibe that is a combination of William Dafoe and Lou Reed.

Another good show that I just finished watching: The Man in the High Castle. TV gets better and better while the moves languish in Juvenelia.

    • Read the book. Even better than any TV/movie. Full of hysterical cliches and stereotypes regarding krauts and nips. And watch Where Eagles Dare. A fine Eastwood flick. Has some great lines too. I make my GF watch it at least once a month.
