Is the Big Mac actually the small Mac?

Commenter Tom writes:

The Big Mac is great, and probably one of the best achievements of American cuisine. I wish they made a much bigger version though, keeping all the proportions the same. It’s delicious, but it’s too small now compared to the sizes of burgers now. It might have been big when it first came out, but it’s like a small snack now.

  1. Many years ago I would occasionally get a Big Mac by itself. I never really eat fast food, but it was sort of an ironic guilty pleasure (and a holdover from childhood, when the Big Mac seemed like an “adult meal” that I dreamed of eating some day). The real allure is it’s twinky-esque texture. It barely tastes like a burger….it soft and sweet. The meat – which is what makes a burger in the first place – is the WORST part!

    April 22, 2016 at 12:00 PM

    • The Big Mac is a unique flavor. The sweetness is intentional because McDonalds is trying to combine a meal with a dessert. I like the way they taste.

My favorite, however, is the dollar-menu double-cheeseburgers and McChicken sandwiches. They also have the best hash browns and fast food fries.

      April 22, 2016 at 5:10 PM

      • How old are you? Mcd’s fries used to be great, but not anymore. Oil cooking lowered the quality by a large margin. They are almost like cardboard now, just like almost all fries.

I think I should open a a fast food place that has fries cooked in fat and burgers that are at least 80-20.That’s all we would have. Maybe I would think up a signature dessert. If you want something else, go someplace else.

Mcd’s just started to expand their menu too much,

    • I can remember getting my first Big Mac as a kid with my dad. It was like a rite of passage, as Big Macs were the adult food while the kids had Happy Meals and regular burgers and cheeseburgers. I got the Big Mac meal, and I remember barely finishing and being real full and thinking how much food it was.

I’ve heard of people ordering a meatless Big Mac!

I haven’t eaten at McDonalds in over thirty years! I’ve been eating at Subway two to three times per week for over twenty years. You can still get a 12-inch sub for $5, same as twenty years ago. I once calculated that I’ve spent over $10K in Subway!

  2. In the NYT story about Ivanka, they said that Trump eats two Big Macs when he has people make late night runs to McDonald’s. It’s only 560 calories, which I guess used to be a lot for a sandwich but now has been surpassed by many burgers as Americans have gotten fatter and fatter.

I also saw an interview where Trump said he loved KFC. I like that he’s not pretentious about food. Liberals’ entire diet is about feeling morally superior. I had a girlfriend who swore that one more expansive brand of water tasted better than a cheaper brand. We did a blind taste test and she lost. They’ve proved the same thing with wine. Leftists swear that Whole Foods tastes better than McDonald’s and KFC, but it’s al psychological.

    • People can learn to tell the difference between cheap and expensive wine and then believe the expensive wine tastes better.

      Lion of the Blogosphere

      April 22, 2016 at 4:23 PM

      • Not even that. An experiments showed that not even experts can tell the difference between “good” and “bad” wine. In fact give them the same wine on different days and you may get different responses.

It’s like academics citing a thousand scholars who say nothing in order to say nothing. Wasting energy to feel better than others.

        April 22, 2016 at 4:57 PM

      • Red Wine that comes out of the southern end of the Mediterranean, is pretty good and darn cheap, given the fact that nobody would purchase them at all, if they were selling at prices of those produced on the other side of Europe. First off, fines wines from Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, seems suspect, because these countries are perceived as 3rd world and also Islamic.

        April 22, 2016 at 5:13 PM

      • And my reason to live in Montreal is that I get live like a king, with my American earnings. And Montreal overall, has better products when compared to Manhattan. I also get to buy a lot of fine products imported from France, otherwise not found in NYC.

      • Tests with wine tasters have not generally revealed that expensive wine is any better than cheap wine. It is all about status signalling.

There have been a number of studies on this. Even wine experts can’t tell the difference.

      • @JS: And my reason to live in Montreal is that I get live like a king, with my American earnings.

        Isn’t the winter intolerable?

The only time I’ve been to Montreal was, as a very young child, at the ’67 World’s Fair, and don’t remember anything.

About five years ago, my cousin got horrifically stabbed outside a Montreal bar one night. His mother is set to soon inherit over 100 acres of waterfront property in Nova Scotia.

        April 23, 2016 at 4:53 AM

      • Yes, winter in Montreal is intolerable, and so is winter in Northern New England, Vermont and upstate NY. So what is the issue with Montreal? Americans are just parochial minded, who live in a bubble.

        April 23, 2016 at 10:19 AM

      • And Montreal today isn’t 1967. The same could be said of Manhattan. Again, you need to venture off from your rocker.

      • Whenever someone else orders the wine, or serves it at their house, it tastes fabulous. Everything I pick out tastes bitter. When I ask later about the wine, usually they can’t remember what it was.

So at home I drink cheap Yellow Tail crap with screw tops.

Today’s status signalling is about the esoteric. Given America’s equality measures, where NAMs have access to many things previously afforded only to SWPLs, status signalling is now about the unfamiliar. Hence, I’ll brag about red wines from exotic locales like Tunisia, as a status snob.

    • Trump knows it’s good and isn’t ashamed to admit it.

      • San Diego has very good burgers, cheap, and mostly made of grass fed beef. It’s one of its trademark “prole” food, along with Pizza and Mexican.

        April 24, 2016 at 5:28 PM

      • Little White Castle sliders, now available in the freezer section at many supermarkets and prepared in the microwave, are my burgers of choice; as few as four make a satisfactory breakfast, and and I go to bed looking forward to eating them. I think they taste better than the same item cooked fresh at the restaurant.

        April 25, 2016 at 4:38 PM

    • For dinner, I had about 6 ounces of pork loin, about 3 ounces that remained of some chili beans, and about 8 ounces of assorted vegetables. (broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, loose corn kernels)…570 calories. I refuse to eat one mushy mess of quasi-food that contains as many calories as 1 health, home-made meal.

      April 23, 2016 at 5:56 AM

    • 560 calories for a meal really isn’t all that much. Even a small woman probably needs more than that per meal. The Big Mac sandwich by itself doesn’t make anyone fat. It’s when people throw in the large Coke and large fries on a near daily basis they push it.

I’m not absurdly pretentious about food, but if we’re talking mainstream fast food I’ll take a Wendy’s Baconator any day over a Big Mac.

      April 22, 2016 at 6:03 PM

  5. I always thought the Big Mac was a ripoff of the Big Boy…anyway, food portions are so humongous now, so it does looks small in comparison.

Amazing how the more the health nazis rail about fast food and obesity, the bigger the burgers get! The meals advertised for Applebee’s and Perkins are crazy huge! And how can anyone eat the carbs at iHOPs with any regularity without blimping?

  6. I have no idea. Anyone who goes to McDonald’s is just asking to become a statistic. Recently at a Carl’s Jr., I was surprised to see how high the prices were. Maybe they’re factoring in a safety premium, as you seldom see the Schvarz there.

    April 22, 2016 at 12:52 PM

    • I think McDonald’s is rather expensive, and that it’s the reason they are hurting.

  7. Buy two, Tom. Buy two.

    April 22, 2016 at 12:59 PM

    • I do sometimes. Two Big Macs are a great meal. But I also like getting the Big Mac value meal with fries. It’d be great to have a bigger Big Mac to go with the fries.

The other issue is that the drinks in the value meals are too big. They give you a massive thing of soda that I never finish and just throw out. A can of soda or coke is generally more than enough for me to go with a burger and fries. I always have a ton of soda left over, and if I try to save it for later, it just gets flat. That’s why sometimes I get lemonade or iced tea, since they don’t go bad like soda does when it goes flat and I can save it for later. Otherwise I just throw out the huge thing of coke after having some during the meal. I can’t nurse on those things constantly like many people seem to do these days.

I’d prefer a bigger Bic Mac and more fries, and a smaller soda.

      April 22, 2016 at 5:47 PM

      • I don’t like any pop out of a fountain like they have at restaurants. The syrup is not good that way. I can feel the mucous in my throat.

Also, I don’t like getting ice. I have heard that ice can be pretty gross at these places. Never get ice out of an ice machine at a hotel that is down the hall. it is supposedly pretty nasty..Imagine what some kids could do to that.

Why don’t they just sell cans or bottles at fast food places? Maybe they make more money from having it in a fountain.

        April 23, 2016 at 1:12 AM

      • “Why don’t they just sell cans or bottles at fast food places?”

The mess. I once brought in a can of Diet Coke with me to MacDonalds to have with my fries. I wasn’t particularly jumpy, but it still spilled over when I opened it. The staff laughed off having to clean up, but they explained that that’s why they don’t sell cans or bottles.

        April 23, 2016 at 2:22 PM

      • I generally like fountain sodas because they tend to be well carbonated and fresh. But they can be bad in poorly run restaurants that don’t maintain their fountains very well.

I think cans tend to be better than the plastic bottles. The cans seem to hold the carbonation and flavor better. Even freshly opened plastic bottles of soda can be a little flat. Perhaps it’s because the cans tend to be smaller and hold less soda or something. Plastic bottles tend to start at 20 oz. and up, while the cans are usually just 12 oz. Maybe glass bottles are good or even better, but they tend to be less common.

I agree that the ice can be nasty. It can have a bad tap water taste to it. Also they tend to give you too much ice. I often just get a little ice. Lots of ice, if it’s from a clean and decent place, can add to the freshness of a good fountain soda though.

        April 23, 2016 at 2:30 PM

      • “Why don’t they just sell cans or bottles at fast food places?”

The margins are much higher with soda fountains.

“I generally like fountain sodas because they tend to be well carbonated and fresh. But they can be bad in poorly run restaurants that don’t maintain their fountains very well.”

The Five Guys near me and a few other local places have the new, Pininfarina-designed Coke freestyle machines:

The quality from them is generally pretty good. I think it uses some engineering originally developed for drug titration.

  9. The original Value meal was a Small fry, hamburger, and a small (like 8-12oz) coke (Which is a child sized coke now). This is probably the main reason Americans are fat. A big mac value meal is 1120 calories. That’s almost 2/3 of what I eat in a day and I’m 6’2 220lbs. My calorie consumption is currently low cause I’m trying to lose some weight but normal for me would be 2000-2500 if I was planning on going to the Gym.

    April 22, 2016 at 1:05 PM

  10. I thought Tom was crazy at first, but then I compared the Big Mac to some of its competition and was surprised. Big Mac patties are only 3.2 oz combined and the Mac has fewer calories than most other signature fast food burgers. The middle bun really creates an optical illusion that it’s a much larger burger. It still has 550 calories, so with fries and a soda, that’s not exactly a light meal. McDonald’s also is apparently testing new sizes of Big Macs in Ohio right now, so maybe the 1/3 lb Big Mac will roll out nationwide soon.

    April 22, 2016 at 1:06 PM

    • Get rid of the middle bun and the special sauce and I’ll bet it’s 400 calories.

      April 23, 2016 at 1:15 AM

      • Carl’s Jr. already did that years ago (but kept the supersecret special sauce). It’s called a Big Carl. It’s like what the Big Mac would be if it were worth eating. And I think it’s around 700 calories.

        April 23, 2016 at 2:14 PM

  11. McDonald’s now pre-cooks the meat patties and I’m pretty sure that they’re smaller due to the smush factor. They’re cooked from both sides in a rubber-covered steel clamshell-looking contraption, and then kept in pre-staging until needed. The two patties for the Big Mac are supposed to be 1/10 of a pound each.

Back when I worked at McDonald’s in the 80’s all of the patties were still cooked in the old fashioned way, including searing the meat with physical pressure.

Contrary to popular belief McD has never offered (or even considered) soy patties rather than real beef.

The Big Mac sauce is still their big secret, it comes in plain white, ,mostly unmarked canisters that you pop into the condiment gun and squirt onto the bun.

Whatever you do at McD never eat a McRib. It’s the nastiest thing on their menu – the sauce the pork sits in was warmed up early that morning so by the time you eat one for dinner it’s been sitting there stewing in its own nastiness for 10 hours. And the McRib meet itself looks like a putrid, sickening drab color to it coming out of the box, it’s truly mystery meat.

    April 22, 2016 at 1:37 PM

    • And the McRib meet itself looks like a putrid, sickening drab color to it coming out of the box, it’s truly mystery meat.

      April 22, 2016 at 5:29 PM

    • Their fries just aren’t what they used to be after they stopped frying them in fat. It’s a shame.

If you are 20 or maybe even 30 you probably never had a really good french fry ANYWHERE. Oil cooked fries are just too dry. They have to have grease. The bag has to be wet with grease. Then you know you have good fries.

I think McDonald’s burgers were better in the 70’s. Now I know why. They actually cooked them there. I wonder if the burgers had more fat in them in the 60’s-80’s. Burgers are better when they have more fat.

  12. I have not had a Big Mac in a long time but I’m not a fan of big burgers. Places like Five Guys turn my stomach with their portions. Their standard is two huge patties. Add cheese, some veggies and condiments and you’re eating a bunch of slop between two soggy buns. It’s too much!

I prefer In-n-Out. I order a cheeseburger, add pickles and share the fries with my wife. It’s perfectly balanced with meat, cheese, crunchy lettuce, tomatoes, thin layer of special sauce and their bun. It’s not grossly huge with soggy textures and sloppy eating.

And when I’m done eating, I don’t feel stuffed like a pig.

      • McDs is symbolic of NAMs, given the fact that there are more of them in their neighborhoods, and fast food/junk food is very enticing for those with poor future time orientation.

Much of corporate retail is also heading into that direction. Most small businesses simply do not hire blacks. This is where the large conglomerates fill the void to offer them employment, similar to the overrepresentation of blacks in gov’t offices.

        April 24, 2016 at 11:06 AM

    • One of the most dangerous jobs on earth is drive-thru-window clerk at a McDonald’s patronised by Blacks.

      April 25, 2016 at 5:39 PM

They have it as a standard menu item in Alaska.

America’s demand for larger portion sizes is the reason why Big Macs seem smaller. That and inflation. I remember them being cheaper than the 4.29 plus sales tax they are now in my area. Factor in the price of fries and a drink and you get close to the prices of sit down burger joints like Johnny Rockets or Red Robbin.

  17. A couple of years ago I was going through a particularly bad depressive episode and I found myself at McDonald’s ordering a quarter pounder with cheese meal in an attempt to use food that appeals to fat proles for some temporary relief. Prior to that, I hadn’t eaten at McDonald’s in maybe 15 years. It didn’t help. The burger was disgusting and nothing like I remembered it. The fries were much thinner than I remembered them, too. I never went back.

  18. I eat a quarter pounder and a coke as a meal once or twice a week. That’s my weekly beef consumption. It’s fast, cheap, and consistent. They add a bit too much salt, but aside from that it’s the same damn beef you’re going to get anywhere else.

  19. The phonies came out again. Wow! Drink the wine YOU like, eat the meat YOU like and drink the water YOU like. If you like to eat a cat, so go ahead and eat them and don’t worry about what your girlfriend says. Yeah, what’s the problem? Yeah, I just ate a pussy cat, so what’s the problem now? I hate phonies.

  20. These guys have been eating mostly Big Macs every day for 40 years and are very healthy:

    • The Big Macs caused him to have strange facial hair.

      Lion of the Blogosphere

      April 23, 2016 at 12:38 AM

      • I saw the second video. This guy’s trick is to eat 1-2 big macs a day (except on Sunday) but he doesn’t eat much else. People simply eat too many calories. Its more important to restrict calories than to worry about where they come from. I’m less healthy than before I got married because my wife keeps trying to feed me, though at least now I’m skipping breakfast again.

He also doesn’t eat Big Macs on Sunday. That is also important. With everything, you have to take regular breaks and do something different.

        April 23, 2016 at 2:51 PM

  21. Of course the Big Mac has continually gotten smaller in proportion to the insatiable and ever increasing appetite of the proles. However, it has also gotten physically smaller in an effort to rip off said proles. McDonald’s is now the lowest of all prole eateries, with the possible exception of Hardee’s. In my youth I recall seeing solid middle class families eating inside a McDonald’s. You never see that now. No one above the rank of high prole now sets foot inside a McDonald’s. Some middle and upper middles solicit the drive thru, but only anonymously with a shame once reserved for porno shops.

    April 22, 2016 at 6:56 PM

    • A lot fast food places have just gotten better than McD’s. I rarely ever go there when I eat fast food. There are so many other regional fast food places that are better.

I did have their baked apple pie recently and it was quite good for 60 cents.

      April 23, 2016 at 1:05 AM

    • I order McDonalds in the drive-thru and eat it in my car in the parking lot.

  22. I did walk into a Burger King one time about ten years ago for one of their veggie burgers. I was accosted in the lobby by a tall black teenage male. The kid was with a group of about ten other NAMs, and I think they were a group of door-to-door magazine subscription hucksters. Oddly, the kid was somewhat respectful and told me one day he was going to be successful and dressed up for work like me.

Oh, and the veggie burge tasty, but twice of a large hamburger.

  23. Another link of the deranged TruCons going all “muh Conservatism”.

They clearly know that Trump is in and their TruCon hero Cruz is done, as is conservatism as a national political force. One of them even points out that Hillary is “more conservative” than Trump, probably true. Which tells you just how evil and toxic conservatism is.

As for their threats to vote for Hillary: go ahead. Please vote for Hillary. You TruCon scum have ruined America. We don’t need your vote and we would rather lose than win with garbage like you.

There is no place for TruCons in the Republican party.

  24. I recently had a $250 cheeseburger at a stylish upscale Mexican cinema club. It was the best burger I’ve ever eaten. A thick medium rare chunk of meat on a perfect crisp poppyseed bun with a stack of caramelized onion and mushrooms on top was the beginning. Then there was a thick gorgonzola bechamel all over the burger and plate. A fig rocket salad on the side had 25 year old balsamic dressing.

As one commenter above said, a Big Mac is just an adult twinkie. Not the same food at all.

    • The best food at McDonalds is the steak, egg and cheese bagel. Even better if you stuff hash browns in the bagel.

      April 23, 2016 at 11:14 PM

  33. BTW it’s a tremendous honor and privilege to have inspired a blog post at Lion’s blog. It’s one of the greatest achievements of my life. I think I may celebrate by going to McDonald’s today and getting some Big Macs. I hope other LOTB readers will do the same and drop in to their local McDonald’s and have a Big Mac or two. Preferably two, so that McDonald’s sees that Big Macs are in high demand and that a bigger Big Mac would be popular. Maybe have a word with the manager and let him know that you love Big Macs and are getting two, but you’d prefer a bigger Big Mac. Hopefully, word will get out from the franchises up to the McDonald’s corporate hierarchy that the people demand bigger Big Macs.

    April 23, 2016 at 2:20 PM

  34. Donald Trump loves Big Macs and McDonald’s:

Donald Trump on Thursday dished on a subject he’s passionate about: fast food.
The real-estate mogul spoke at length about his taste for McDonald’s and Burger King — and even a little KFC — during CNN Republican presidential town hall with South Carolina voters.

But the golden arches are tops with Trump, who said he seeks out the fish, Big Macs and Quarter Pounders with cheese.

“It’s great stuff,” he told host Anderson Cooper.

But it’s not just about the menu, Trump explained. Rather, there is the question of cleanliness and a corporate imperative not to poison the loyal customers.

“One bad hamburger, you can destroy McDonald’s. One bad hamburger and you take Wendy’s and all these other places and they’re out of business,” he said. “I like cleanliness, and I think you’re better off going there than maybe some place that you have no idea where the food is coming from.”

Not that Trump is letting himself go.

“I do as well as I can,” he told Cooper, assuring the audience his burger consumption was “very carefully” measured.

And it’s not all red meat, either.

“The other night I had Kentucky Fried Chicken,” Trump said to applause. “Not the worst thing in the world.”

      • Trump should shut down ethnic restaurants and chains like Chipotle that serve foreign food and replace them all with McDonald’s that only hire Americans. This would not just be patriotic food policy, but would also be an excellent jobs program. The construction work for building new McDonald’s restaurants to replace the ethnic restaurants and Chipotle type chains would hire American workers, and the new McDonald’s would be staffed by Americans.

        April 23, 2016 at 4:06 PM

        April 24, 2016 at 12:31 PM

First rule of running a restaurant: don’t poison the customers.

      How low have we sunk?

      April 24, 2016 at 6:27 PM

    • Who else openly loved McDonalds and fast food? Bill Clinton.

Bill Clinton and Donald Trump actually have a lot in common, although Bill seems gelded now, no doubt a result of his marriage.

Honest conservative things come out of Bill’s mouth now and then, although he always has to walk those comments back, as a neutered white male in a party that hates his kind.

  35. Documentary filmaker Morgan Spurlock (“Supersize Me”) launched his career by eating three McDonalds meals every day for thirty days. He gained 25 pounds and duffered liver dysfunction and depression by the end of the 30-day experiment. It took him fourteen months to get back to his normal weight.

    E. Rekshun

    April 23, 2016 at 3:19 PM

    • But he’s someone who has a genetic predisposition to become very fat. Regular people couldn’t do that.

      Lion of the Blogosphere

      April 23, 2016 at 3:41 PM

      • I think it’s because he was having all the sodas and shakes and deserts with his meals. The burgers, sandwiches, nuggets, and fries are healthy. If he had stuck to those, instead of gulping down the huge sodas and shakes with every meal, he would have been fine.

        April 23, 2016 at 4:02 PM

      • Someone also did a film where they lost weight eating at McDonald’s. Unlike Spurlock, if you use common sense…

      Jokah Macpherson

      April 23, 2016 at 5:50 PM

    • I don’t believe Spurlock’s story.

      April 23, 2016 at 6:22 PM

      • It was BS. He was eating about 5,000 calories and drinking about a gallon of soda a day during that experiment. Eating that much of anything every day for a month would cause you to gain lots of weight and feel sick.

        April 23, 2016 at 9:13 PM

      • I saw it. He looked pretty much the same at the end of the movie.

Anyhow, two of the best things McDonald’s had in the past that they don’t have now:

The Arch Deluxe burger. It had a unique, tasty sauce.

Fried apple pies. So much better than the baked ones. Maybe the closest thing you can get to them now are the fried apple pies at Pizza Hut.

        Dave Pinsen

        April 24, 2016 at 2:15 AM

      • Right, I’m sure that he did a lot of let’s call it reverse cheating – but the whole story stinks to high heaven. In order to gain 25 pounds in that short amount of time, you’d have to increase your caloric intake every time you gain weight, because the new weight requires a larger caloric intake. Perhaps he did that by drinking ever larger amounts of soda. But he might have been scarfing peanut butter for all we knew. Did anyone watch him?

Metabolic ward studies are the gold standard of weight studies. And guess what they show – calories count. Yes, type of calories matter, but so does caloric intake. Metabolic ward studies also show that people are lousy at estimating their caloric intake, and that heavy people lie about their food intake.

        April 24, 2016 at 8:35 AM

      • @gothamette: But he might have been scarfing peanut butter for all we knew.

Peanut butter has a high protein to fat content. I eat two large bananas w/ three heaping tablespoons of peanut butter every morning for breakfast. I’d like to put on some bulk but I remain slim and lean.

  36. My problem w/McDonald’s is the bun. I think it has the consistency of cotton candy. It sticks to the roof of my mouth. I was once speaking with someone, took a bite, and had to excuse myself to dislodge the bun from the roof of my mouth digitally. With my digits.

Their oatmeal cookies are to die for. I’ve passed them off as expensive designer cookies at office parties and no one was the wiser.

    April 23, 2016 at 6:25 PM

      Dave Pinsen

      April 24, 2016 at 12:14 AM

      • Thanks, maybe I’ll try it. But the McD’s in my area are atrocious. It’s like being teleported into the hood. It’s a pity because McD’s has made a lot of effort to redecorate their interiors and whoever did it is really a genius. There are a couple of McD’s in Manhattan that are really oases in a hellish midtown. But the clientele is always the same. Whereever there is a McD’s, there is diversity & vibrancy.

  38. So Obama is trying to bully Britain to stay in the EU and you are talking about the size of Big Macs? Now I know how it feels to be an Iraqi or an Afghan,

    prolier than thou

    April 23, 2016 at 7:04 PM

    • Yes, Anglo Proles do not belong in the EU. It makes perfect sense, and Obama should suggest an Anglo Prole Alliance instead.

Spain would be happy to see less Briton Proles on it shores!

      April 23, 2016 at 8:18 PM

      • You are correct that us Proles are overwhelmingly the ones that wish to leave. It is middle-class Brits who wish to distinguish themselves from the lowly herd by cooking French food and watching subtitled Danish dramas that are the ones who wish to stay in the EU, even though probably fewer than one in ten have the faintest idea how the EU actually works (the European Commision, the Council of Ministers, etc). As with so much in Britain it does largely boil down to class and tribe. Prole Englishmen are islanders and naturally insular, and cannot be any other way, even when foreigners are in our midst. A huge problem when we are expected to compete with them and live with them.

I have no problem with Spain wanting no Brits to live in their country. But they signed up to be in the thing, and seeing as few of them wish to leave I assume that means they more happy than unhappy with the status quo. As with most Med countries they have huge problems with youth unemployment, so having the option of moving to Britain does relieve the pressure on their governments somewhat.

A prole alliance between Trump’s America, Putin’s Russia and a newly independent and patriotically energised Britain would be a beautiful thing to behold.

        prolier than thou

        April 24, 2016 at 5:29 AM

      • Ameriproles are also naturally insular. Surrounded by 2 sides of water, a frigid Great White North what they call Canada, and a warm seedy 3rd world to its south, what they call Mexico.

All White Majority English Speaking domains are set to fall first among the 1st world nations. They have this strange relationship with their non-White subjects, their societies and elitists are solely driven by money, hence all the problems of capitalism and immigration.

I would really love to see them come to an end, and their problems would disappear overnight.

        April 24, 2016 at 10:55 AM

    • As I said before, the Big Mac is a signal achievement of US semi-capitalist civilization.

Plus if the UK had any sense, they would apply to be a US State along with the rest of Greater Britain–Canada, Australia, New Zealand. Or at least a PR style associated state.

      April 24, 2016 at 7:52 AM

      • Basically an Anglo Prole Alliance vis-a-vis the Big Mac.

When I visiting Spain a few years go, I left Madrid and landed on London. It was like setting foot on NYC, with its muliticultural cesspool filth. Except the food and weather were not as pleasant.

  39. By my calculations, McDonald’s Corporation is worth a thousand times more than the Medici banking family at its peak, yet, as a patron of great architecture, most critics prefer the buildings erected by the Medici over those of McDonald’s Corporation. McDonald’s has room for improvement in this area.

    Mark Caplan

    April 24, 2016 at 10:38 AM

    • Yeah, but do the Medici’s have a restaurant on 8th ave between 34th & 35th on the west side of the street? Decorated in soothing blue tones? With piped in new age music? No.

Unfortunately said restaurant also has drugs & bums nodding off. But they dont’ bother me as much as the loudmouths. Why are drug addicts so fng loud when they are not nodding off? Have the drugs destroyed their ability to modulate their speech?

    • America is the “wealthiest nation” on the planet. It doesn’t even hold a candle to Canada, with it comes to its cities and civic planning. So much wealth is concentrated on Manhattan, and yet the entire island looks like a pig sty, not to mention, one gets to see a 21st century slavery, with NAMs as doormans, cabdrivers, janitor, cooks etc…..

      April 24, 2016 at 11:21 AM

      • Vancouver is surprisingly cruddy. Despite the spectacular natural surroundings, the vast majority of the urban area is boring flatlands of endless rectangular blocks. Vancouver is grittier than you’d expect, too. Its neighbor to the south, Seattle, is geographically much more interesting and a nicer city.

        April 24, 2016 at 9:50 PM

      • I found Winnipeg to be cleaner and more orderly than Boston. And Winnipeg is the most dangerous city in Canada.

I would agree with you on Vancouver. But it’s southern neighbor Victoria is a lot nicer, despite being a smaller city with more interesting architecture. And cities with racial minorities in contention with the White majority tend not to be great places, and Vancouver and Toronto both share this characteristic.

  40. Lion, this is curious: apparently the Islamic attacks on the women are legal.

    April 24, 2016 at 4:36 PM

  41. I first tasted it a few three months ago in Israel. It was better then expected, but nothing too good. The bun was terrible. Why can’t I have it on a whole wheat healthy roll? Not something I would eat. Why is Trump eating this food? He can have a personal chef make him a real good lamb double burger, for example, or whatever he wants. I wouldn’t eat at McDonald’s. Not for me, no way! Real American food is bison. Where is all the bison gone? I’ve had it a few times, but I don’t see much of it.

I use McDonald’s bathrooms a lot when on the job. I show them my NYFD torch operator license and the let me use the bathroom without buying anything. There are YUGE NAMs hypopotomuses eating there. They have a good time and enjoy their food, which is nice. NAMs are happy there. It’s a good fit.

Try Keema, but use Shan spice, because they are the best. Instructions are on the package. I make it myself with basmati rice. Very easy and totally awesome!

    April 24, 2016 at 9:02 PM

    • Where is all the bison gone?

Too expensive, not enough pay-off for the Food Industrial Complex. Bison must be grass-fed by law. It can be purchased but I hope your disposable income accommodates Wild West bovines.

      Socially Extinct

      April 24, 2016 at 10:52 PM

      • This is funny. I was at a kosher supermarket today and the freezer had a sign ‘The bison is back!’. Wanted to get some, but I was all gone. If I were Trump, I would hire me a guy like this as my personal chef. Trump should be eating only grass fed animals. I may go totaly bison now that I know it has to be grass fed and cannot have hormone injections. I liked it, but not more then beef, but it’s worth it for health benefits. Was good enough for Apaches, is good enough for me.

Also, mates your discussion of fries made no sense. You buy a bag for $4 and bake it in the oven. Why would anyone fry them in fat? This is retarted.

        April 26, 2016 at 12:36 AM

      • If you bake it, then it’s basically a baked potato. You fry them in fat because that’s what fries are. That’s why they’re called fries – because they’re fried.

        April 26, 2016 at 11:26 PM

  43. in australia we have this thing called “create your taste” at mcdonalds where there are touchscreens at the front of the counters inside mcdonalds where you can customise your mcdonalds burger. it’s very good; you can have two types of fancy buns (or a lettuce wrap), lots of different kinds of sauces, bacon, pineapple (pineapple on a burger is an australian thing- there’s a restaurant in manhattan called “the australian” where you can get this kind of burger fyi), however the problem with it is that mcdonalds staff are not equipped to handle the level of complexity it introduces. every time i have utilized the service they have messed up my order and either forgot to include something on my burger. i love mcdonalds though i personally prefer the whopper to the big mac; even though burger king (hungry jacks here for copyright reasons) has a serious mayo discipline problem.

This picture was taken during the Iranian Hostage crisis in Sydney 2 years ago, showing the burger joint nearby where the incident took place.

Don’t you love the multiculturalism that infects the entire Anglosphere?

An East Asian woman crying for help as a deranged Iranian is on the rampage. Only in the Anglosphere!!!!

  44. This might be the kind of NAM preparing your fat burger…

Ft Lauderdale Sun Sentinel, 04/26/16 – Burger King employee accused of theft after $3K in cash, $20K in food disappears from store, police say

A Burger King employee accused of theft after $20,000 worth of food and over $3,000 in cash disappeared from the restaurant told police he was stealing the money to pay off drug debts, according to a West Palm Beach Police arrest report.

William Simmons Sr., 54, of West Palm Beach, faces grand theft and burglary charges. He was arrested Monday.

Since Simmons started working at the restaurant March 29, $20,000 in food went missing along with $3,191.10 in cash, according to the report.

The investigation started Saturday when a manager at the restaurant told a police detective Simmons would leave a door unlocked at the restaurant at 1210 N. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach, then sneak in without any alarms going off. The manager said video cameras captured Simmons going into the restaurant through an unlocked door at the back and taking money from the registers, according to the report.

An investigator found Simmons working at the restaurant Monday and brought him to a back office, where he was handcuffed. Simmons said he knew cameras captured him stealing money and food, according to the report.

He told police that “everyone made sandwiches to take home with them,” the report stated. He said he’d also take frozen sausage patties and biscuits from the freezer, police said.

Simmons said he didn’t know how the door was left unlocked, according to the report. When asked about the stolen money, Simmons said he only took a total of $300.

“When I asked Simmons why he was taking the money from the register, he said that he owed some people money for drugs,” a detective wrote in the report.

State records show Simmons, a registered sex offender, has previously been arrested seven times, and has convictions including sexual assault, marijuana possession, and failure to register as a sex offender. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and held on $15,000 bond.
