Trump was right again, other Muslims knew

Trump has gotten lot of hatred from liberals for saying the following in his speech yesterday:

But the Muslims have to work with us. They have to work with us. They know what’s going on. They know that he was bad. They knew the people in San Bernardino were bad. But you know what? They didn’t turn them in. And you know what? We had death, and destruction.

But today we learn that the wife knew he was going to commit jihad, and although she tried to talk him out of it, she did not call the police.

Who else knew what was going on?

* * *

By the way, the wife was stupid for telling that to the police. Otherwise they wouldn’t have known, but now they have her own admission of guilt and you can be sure they will prosecute her because they want to prosecute someone and Omar himself is dead. If your spouse commits jihad, you should refuse to talk to the police and lawyer up immediately.

Anything to indicate that his guy had an IQ over 90? His wife probably isn’t much smarter. I guess graduating from a community college plus some basic competence to pull this off requires 95, maybe?

    • Well, this was the worst mass shooting in US history. Even considering that it took place in a crowded nightclub, the body count is still impressive. If reaction time is highly correlated with IQ (?), it would seem to indicate that this guy probably has at least a 100+IQ.

      • martin bryant, a guy with a confirmed IQ diagnosis of 65 managed to kill 35 people in tasmania in 1997. i dont think that being able to shoot a bunch of people real fast is indicative of a high IQ at all.

      • You don’t need much reaction time to shoot people who aren’t shooting back.

“Licensing records show that Mateen scored in the 98th percentile with the same caliber weapon — a 9mm semiautomatic pistol — used in the killings Sunday night in Orlando. In tests used to obtain a firearms license, Mateen often notched top scores on both the range and written examinations, the documents released Wednesday by the Department of Agriculture said. In one test of his shooting proficiency, he scored a 239 out of 240.”

  2. What’s gonna be interesting is what happens to the lawyer who represents her. I’m actually not sure there’s criminal liability for holding her tongue, but if she is prosecuted I wouldn’t blame anybody for knocking off her lawyer. This whole Muslim thing shows what a-holes tort lawyers are. With these mosques, it’s the same exact concealment operation that the cigarette companies engaged in, but you don’t see the heavyweight tort guys using the mosques.

    • Even if you have complete knowledge that a crime is going to be committed, you have no legal obligation to notify anyone, not the police, not the prospective victims. In this case, though, the wife seems to have confessed to abetting the crime in various ways, such as helping Mateen scope-out the best locations for maximum slaughter.

  3. If your spouse commits jihad, you should refuse to talk to the police and lawyer up immediately.

I would remove that first prepositional phrase.

  5. And Trump was right the 911 attacks were celebrated by Muslims like the then teenager Mateen whom classmates remember was cheering the attack in school.

  6. I think Trump will pick Sessions as his VP. Here’s why:

    1. Trump wants to make this election about trade and immigration and Sessions can hammer the shit out of those two issues.

    2. Every other possible VP is simply too unreliable. They are all too PC and cowardly. This shooting has really proven as much.

    June 14, 2016 at 5:44 pm

    • Roger Stone has strongly hinted that it’s going to be Sessions.

      June 14, 2016 at 6:43 pm

      • That would be a great pick. He matches Trump on all the issues. Plus he balances the ticket personality wise. Also, he adds geographical balance but Trump will win the Deep South no matter what.

        Jay Fink

        June 14, 2016 at 11:59 pm

    • He should. I think someone else said that Sessions was too valuable as a Senator, but in this emergency, we need a VP who can articulate policies in the way that Trump can’t. Also he knows the Senate, where bodies are buried, and how to blackmail people.

      June 14, 2016 at 7:17 pm

    • For once Otis and I agree. And by the way, I’m onboard with voting for Trump now. But it wasn’t the recent shooting that convinced me he’s a better choice than Hillary. Trump isn’t the kind of conservative I want. I had previously thought that his accession would make my kind of conservatism harder for the public to eventually accept. But now I think of him more as someone who can stop some of the damage done by liberals until the conservative movement gets its act together. If the latter doesn’t occur nothing else matters. But if it does than even Trump can’t stop a revival of traditionalist conservatism. Ultimately, Trump is not going to be as significant as Buckley or Reagan were in defining the future of the Right.

      • “Trump is not going to be as significant as Buckley or Reagan were in defining the future of the Right.”

Well considering that Buckley almost single-handedly ruined the American Right and that Reagan sold it out to the globalist anti-border crowd, let’s hope Trump redefines it in quite some different way.

  8. If it was his peers or friends that would be really concerning.

But if it’s just his wife… I mean there are a lot of reasons why she didn’t come forward.. She’s just not bright, terrified, etc… Judging by her actions now I don’t think she supported what he did.

    June 14, 2016 at 6:26 pm

    • I think he would know right away who talked and would have killed her if he could. She would have to disappear herself totally, and not everyone has the resources to do that.

  9. Everyone should read this article:

The scumbags at the Times make it difficult (for me) to cut and paste, but if you read carefully, there were many instances where Mateen stopped to reload, and someone could have taken him. “Orlando (a man, not the place) described moments of surreal quiet as the siege went on and the killer fiddled with his weapon and used the sink and the hand dryer.”

Couldn’t SOMEONE have tried to tackle him while he used the hand dryer? If those three guys from the train in France had been there…..

    June 14, 2016 at 7:15 pm

    • I guess gay men, although they have muscles and tattoos, lack the manly killer instinct.

      • One of the dead bouncers at the club was a scrawny-looking lesbian, so I guess management saw their clientele as a bunch of pushovers.

        June 14, 2016 at 9:26 pm

      • No, it’s more than that. If you recall those three guys on the train were friends from childhood and acted together. It took teamwork. And it wasn’t killer instinct, it was protectiveness and self-preservation. Killer instinct is overrated. I think gay men are really kind of girly in that way – no team sports, no buddies that they cooperate with to accomplish a goal. I really think things would have been different in a C&W bar, and not because some of the latter would have been armed. I think that a pack of guys would have formed & fought back.

I call them three because the older Brit admitted he didn’t do anything until the younger guys snapped into action.

        June 14, 2016 at 9:41 pm

      • If you’re counting on the cops to protect you – Think again.
There was an armed off duty cop who exchanged shots with Mateen but didn’t follow him into the club.
Then SWAT was called but –
The cops waited outside the club for THREE HOURS!!!

If the cops had gone in, or the patrons had attacked Mateen many more might have lived.
The “high-powered” military round he was shooting is a roughly a .22 fired at high velocity.
The cops waited outside the club for THREE HOURS!!!

Many of these wounds might have been survivable with prompt treatment.
The cops waited outside the club for THREE HOURS!!!

Where ever you are, always be situationally aware and have an exit plan.
        And of course, don’t forget:
The cops waited outside the club for THREE HOURS!!!

“5 a.m. About three hours after the standoff began, Orlando police chief John Mina says the decision was made to storm the club and “rescue patrons (hiding) in a bathroom” and others still trapped inside the club in an effort to minimize loss of life. The police, Mina said, used a BearCat armored rescue vehicle to “get through a club wall.”

“,,, the SWAT team at the Pulse nightclub waited three hours after arriving on scene before entering the facility and dispatching the killer. We know that they were negotiating with Mateen during this interlude.

The police spokesman said that command didn’t know how many casualties were involved before they finally eliminated the threat, and were surprised by the death toll. Here’s the thing: Mateen shot many, if not most, if not all of his victims with a 5.56 caliber SIG SAUER MCX. Chances are many of the victims bled-out prior to SWAT securing the scene.

What caused this delay? Analysis paralysis or sound negotiating tactics? Will we ever know?”

        Nedd Ludd

        June 15, 2016 at 8:48 am

    • Maybe the guy had a sense a gay bar was the perfect target because the victims were less likely to fight back.

      June 14, 2016 at 9:17 pm

      • I think gay men are less likely to form physical attack coalitions, for whatever reason. And yeah, skinny lesbian bouncers just don’t cut it. The gay world is upside down, where women physically protect men.

        June 15, 2016 at 9:53 am

    • One guy could have taken him out from behind by cracking a beer bottle over his head. Another way to neutralize Mateen would have been a guy putting him in a bear hug from behind while someone else disarms him.

      June 14, 2016 at 9:00 pm

    • These polls reflect the bump Hillary got when Saunders was finally vanquished. Before the massacre sunk in. Before Trump’s speech and call out of Obama and before Obama’s petulant spluttering about how “what does it matter what you call it”. We knew it was coming.

Lets see what the polls say later in the week – I suspect it will be a lot closer than that.

      June 14, 2016 at 9:24 pm

    • Last Bloomberg poll was in March and had Clinton beating Trump by 18 points, so that’s actually a significant improvement.

Every other poll at the time (March) had Clinton leading by 6 to 12 points, so Bloomberg was a very Clinton-leaning outlier. Wait for the other polls to update before we get concerned.

  11. Islam, in its current form, is inimical to Western civilization. Period. Liberals are blind to this because one of the tenets of their faith is that “all cultures are equally valid”. We have learnt nothing in 15 years, because first Bush and then Obama spun the idea that Islam was all about “peace”.

It’s clear that the DOJ, on orders from the WH, has permeated the entire law enforcement (including the FBI) with rules of engagement which protect Muslims specifically. This has been said, or more correctly, ALLUDED TO over the past few days by a number of former high ranking security officials in the US Government. It was shocking how quickly Meghan Kelly shut down the past Deputy-Director of the FBI when he tried to make this point explicitly.

The mask is slipping people. And the consequences of this PC horror are the atrocities we have seen. Worse, it means that law enforcement has had their hands tied by the denizen of the WH, who becomes personally culpable for the Orlando attack and others.

This is what Trump is alluding to. And he is absolutely correct.

This is why Obama is so riled up today. Would that he had been so mad at ISIS, no?

    Go Trump!

    June 14, 2016 at 8:20 pm

    • Liberalism, in its current form, is inimical to Western civilization. You might even say it is the ideology of Western suicide.

      June 14, 2016 at 10:11 pm

      • This. Liberals are blind to Islam being inimical to Western civilization because they are allies / fellow travelers. Who knows what liberals think will happen once “stupid Christians and conservatives” have been eliminated, but we know Muslims think that they will crush the liberals and convert them to Islam.

In the post-Western Civ struggle between liberals and Muslims, my money is on the Muslims.

        June 15, 2016 at 8:17 am

      • Madison Square Park in NYC, the playground where the SWPL burger joint, Shake Shack, is located, once had a Islamic Field Day event, where Muslims were passing out fliers to infidels, asking them to ask any questions/concerns they have with the “religion of peace”. Many did stop by and chatted with Mohammad’s followers, in a merry way.

Meanwhile, Judaism is a dying religion, and ultra religious Jews are now less inclined to drive around town with their musical vans, trying to convert the likes of Lion into Hasidim, because just about everybody ignores them. The simple fact is that Judaism is such an uncool religion among their own, they’ll probably need to seek out gentiles to fill the void.

        June 15, 2016 at 2:44 pm

    • Many on the right are also very PC and think all cultures a good.

Just look at Paul Ryan’s comments today.

I really don’t understand why people want any immigration, especially people who have been here for generations. I can see people that just came here and want their relatives to come here, but why the average white or black person wants immigration is beyond me.

      June 14, 2016 at 10:50 pm

      • Anyone growing up in America is immersed in Ellis Island schmaltz, and the MSM and Hollywood universally present immigrants as admirable strivers. The consequences of immigration on wages, employment and social cohesion are not presented in any mainstream platform. In fact, the idea that there are any real consequences is treated as outlandish, and lunchpail “They took muh job” rednecks are mocked and savaged in mainstream venues as dishonest fools who are really motivated by racism and other base motives. Thus the default POV is to think immigrants are just swell, and it takes a real act of will to break through all that. When I was younger I expressed many sentimental attitudes about immigration, so I can’t look down on anyone. The establishment educates people to be children on this subject.

        June 15, 2016 at 10:40 am

    • Further to the protection of Muslims theme, Hannity had a guy on from DHS who said that he had built up over 6 or 7 years a database of suspect Muslims. In 2009 when the Obama administration came in these files were deleted – presto, no more.

If true, this is just more confirmation of the perfidy of the Obama administration. And it is absolutely shocking.

Hey, we knew this “hope and change” guy was really full of it, but this really takes things a bit far, doesn’t it?

How do you think they will hush this up? Any journalists left out there?

      June 15, 2016 at 12:49 am

    • Obama is downright calm towards Trump in comparison to Ryan and Romney!

It’s the same party; a two-headed snake! Republicans are just the controlled opposition; they are Leftists who happen to be for lower taxes on the wealthy.

  12. Seems like that rightwing lunatic from Massachusetts, Barney Frank agrees with Trump,

Former Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank says Orlando shooting reinforces case for surveillance of ‘Islamic Element’

    June 14, 2016 at 8:36 pm

    • The shooting at the Pulse had nothing to do with Islam. Radical Islam provides an impetus for those who are disenfranchised, economically and/or sexually frustrated.

What we really need is surveillance of disturbed guys with OMR (Omega Male Rage)!

  13. “At least 480,000 people overstayed their visas last year, adding to a backlog that’s reached some 5 million total, members of Congress said. But immigration agents launched investigations into just 10,000 of them, or about 0.2 percent, and arrested fewer than 2,000, less than 0.04 percent, saying the others don’t rise to the level of being priority targets.”

As a nation, we are a joke. Any foreign vermin who wants to can come here and just not leave. AND THEY ALL KNOW IT. I hope that Day 1 of the Trump administration he signs an Executive Order (in classic Obama style) that says anyone overstaying a visa will be considered an enemy agent and subject to military execution (i.e. same day).

Of course he won’t, but it would be awesome. And a week after the order was issued there would be a sudden, massive and, to the press, “inexplicable” drop in welfare-Medicaid-Medicare-insurance-etc. fraud.

    June 15, 2016 at 11:03 am

  14. I hope that Day 1 of the Trump administration he signs an Executive Order (in classic Obama style) that says anyone overstaying a visa will be considered an enemy agent and subject to military execution (i.e. same day).

And there you have it. Exhibit A of why “white male” paranoids motivate White women to oppose the so called right, or pro America agenda and vote for Democrats.

You guys will never get that will you.

  15. It appears that someone in the Islamic community reported Omar Mateen to the FBI, but they underestimated him:

    So who’s fault is it?

And anyone can lay claim to as an ISIS disciple. It’s ludicrous.

I’m looking forward to a shooter going postal on a Masjid, and claiming he is a Trump supporter.
