Advice for Turkey’s new military leaders

You guys need to find Erdogan ASAP and put in in a prison cell or execute him. It’s really better to execute him. Once he’s dead, he can’t ever retake power again. Obama was smart enough to execute Osama instead of taking him prisoner.

  1. They’re saying he tried to escape to Germany, was refused asylum, and now to London.

  3. Every political party opposes the coup, this can’t possibly succeed. Execute Erdogen and you’ll get absolute chaos.

The goal can’t be to force secularization down their throats, it’s gotta be to let them have their culture but not support terrorism, etc. It’s not our job to make sure that Turkey bans the hijab in state buildings.

It’s the Turkish army’s job to do that, and they are doing it.

      • Nope, they’re clearly going to lose. Bloodshed for nothing, to try to force secularism on a people that clearly does not want it.

  4. All the idiots here who are happy about this: go to Dailykos where they are creaming their pants over this. If the coup is successful this is a victory for Progressivism.

Fortunately, the coup will not be successful, at least not in the long run. The Turkish people want backwards Islamism and will fight to the death for their right to live in the middle ages.

You’re blaming the wrong people. Turkey is the only thing stopping the massive flow of refugees.

France destroyed Libya, another key chokepoint for refugees. America destroyed Iraq. We’re slowly working on Syria with indirect efforts.

What’s Turkey have to do with this?

  5. That he is still alive and issuing statements is worrying. Real advice is that killing him should have been the FIRST thing the did. That the leaders lacked the capacity to arrest/kill him at the onset is a worrying sign as to whether this will ultimately be a success. #PrayForTheCoup.

As a conservative, one of my first acts as President will be to require all True Reactionaries to register with the True Reactionary Monitoring Agency for their own good, to ensure that their penchant for political abstraction does not become self-destructive and corrosively anti-American.

Otis the issue is the ability to carry out hostilities. Islamist are at worse just terrorists. Secular regimes have the power to make traditional war.

Why do you think pro Israel neo-cons want to crush secular regimes around Israel? Because they have seen the secular, centralized powerful military regimes as an existential threat to Israel. They couldn’t care less about religious nuts who want to scream and holler and fight among Muslims and genocide Christians.

Saddam, Assad and his dead daddy were the threats. ISIS and al qeida are just pests.

I don’t think you understand the battle space. Conservative Muslims are fighting against the forces of progress and modernity in Muslim countries. However those same conservative Muslims are voting FOR the forces of progress and modernity in Western countries. They are not allies in the slightest.

  6. The coup leaders have to be willing to kill, period. Erdogan has power because he enjoys large popular support, and that isn’t going to disappear unless the Turkish military is willing to fight them when challenged. Already there are pictures zipping around on Twitter of civilians climbing atop tanks unopposed or taking over an airport en masse. Successes like those will just embolden more to take to the streets. The secular dictatorships in Tunisia and Egypt were overthrown five years ago because, despite the propaganda about how wicked Mubarak and the other guy was, when push came to shove neither had the stomach to go to war against their civilian opposition. The Kemalists will have to decide whether to join them in noble disgrace or learn a lesson from Assad.

  7. How sad is it that Nice, France gets bumped from the news before Lion can even do a post on it. If France doesn’t take an attack on its seriously, then neither should anybody else.

Steve Sailer is already wondering whether the Gulen cult (that runs charter schools in the Poconos) was involved with this.

    • “How sad is it that Nice, France gets bumped from the news before Lion can even do a post on it”

I imagine the media are quite relieved that something has come along so they don’t have to talk about the Nice attacks. Watching the BBC you can see how painful it is for them. I’ve noticed on facebook there is none of the rush by left-wing types to try and defend Islam or cry ‘racist’. It’s like reality is starting to sink in and they have nothing left to say. Best just look the other way and move on.

I find it telling that in Nice just as in the recent attack on Brussels airport the local authorities are making a big deal out of getting everything back to normal, cleaned up and open as soon as possible. They present this as if it was a sign of defiance; a kind of ‘Blitz spirit’ determination to show a ‘business as usual’ attitude in the face of an existential threat. I rather think that the desire to rub away every last trace of the attack is a form of denial. The blood on the streets, the broken windows and carnage of terrorist attacks rebukes them and silently asks ‘what are you going to do about this?’, a question for which they have no answer.

It’s like something out a sci-fi dystopia. Imagine how a time travelling Frenchman would feel if he’d arrived in Nice, to see the children’s bodies and the blood soaked pavements, screaming people and ambulances carting away the dead and dying, immediately followed by clean-up crews working tirelessly to make it look as if nothing as happened. Cut to the next morning with French couples strolling along the promenade enjoying ice cream and taking selifes. ‘But what are you going to do about the war against Islam?’ ‘What are you talking about? Islam is a religion of peace! RACIST!!’

      • In Montreal, there are Muslim immigrants who are residing in Little Italy.

In NYC, our Little Italy is now a fake disney land consisting of these young SWPL residents, the ones that are driving everybody out, because these lazy and frigid loafers, have rich parents who keep them on life support.

If I was a mayor, I would rather not have any of these scenarios. But this is the current downfall of Western Civilization.

        July 16, 2016 at 11:36 am

      • Little Italy in NYC is just two blocks of Italian restaurants, primarily aimed at tourists, there are no real Italians living there anymore (except for SWPLs who happen to have Italian last names living on the SoHo side).

      • “Imagine how a time travelling Frenchman would feel if he’d arrived in Nice, to see the children’s bodies and the blood soaked pavements, screaming people and ambulances carting away the dead and dying, immediately followed by clean-up crews working tirelessly to make it look as if nothing as happened. The problem with the future is that it is always a dystopia. Imagine if the founders were transported to 21st Century America. Minus the amazement of technological progress, what do you think they would think about our social “progress?’ The would go back and sabotage their own revolution.

The Little Italy in Manhattan has been a tourist trap for over 25 years. The Little Italy in the Bronx (Belmont section) was (and still is) more authentic but is now a mere shell of its former self. There’s only a handful of Italians left; now it’s mostly Puerto Ricans, Dominicans and Albanians, along with students from Fordham. Still have some bakeries, restaurants, and butcher shops.
