DNC Wikileaks thing

Just confirms what everyone was already saying and that I previously said on the blog, that the Democratic establishment wanted Hillary to win. But I guess confirmation can be a powerful thing, to counteract the psychological power of continuous denial. It was like the semen-stained dress. Everyone could deny the obvious, that Clinton was cheating on Hillary with other women, but people could refuse to believe it until a semen-stained dress surfaced.

I am sure that if there was a leak of RNC emails, we would find they were out to get Trump. But unlike Bernie, Trump overcame.

There is also the proof that politicians lie. As if we already didn’t know that politicians lie. But nevertheless, Debbie Wasserman Schultz was saying “the DNC is neutral” while trying to get Hillary to win, so now we know she’s a liar. We know Hillary’s a liar, but approximately half the country and a strong majority of the top 2% are going to vote for her anyway.

  1. I am sure that all of the people who cared already knew as a result of the “voice vote” scandal from Vegas.

This current news just makes it seem like there was just a thumb on the scale, not outright fraud so I doubt there will be significant impact. The whole “Democrat” primary itself was very non-democratic with two non-democrats running plus MoM who dropped out as soon as seemly to do so. “Token” opposition. Bernie Sanders himself seemed uninterested in winning this contest for most of it.

Maybe in the crunchiest quarters this will cost her some support, but those types are least likely to be needed.

  2. For such a big story surprisingly little coverage on the New York Times.

They are intentionally ignoring this story.

    • They have a journalistic interest in preserving their reader’s sense of self-righteousness. BTW – what is the market value of being socially corroborated in one’s own sense of self-righteousness?

  3. why are the Bernie fans so outraged? This is what they were claiming all along and even if the DNC had been completely neutral, it wouldn’t have made blacks hate Bernie any less.

    • I met a new Trump convert last night. A little Oaxacan fellow, busboy at my favorite restaurant in SF. Seems he was at a hospital waiting for his wife, looking at his iPhone, when two large Hillary supporters walked up, snatched it, and strolled calmly away.

  4. There’s also DNC coordination with the Ted Cruz campaign, including plans setting up a DNC hotline for Ted Cruz delegates who felt they were mistreated at the convention to call into.

There’s also the general attitude of DNC staffers, with lots of ‘fucks’ and ‘bitches’ being thrown around.

  5. Hillary is under other federal investigations – what happened to the Inspector General’s report? I can’t find anything on it. The thing is, her fans enjoy the fact that she’s so brazen. They think it’s a feature, not a bug.

    • Schultz is gone. And:

      It’s a treasure trove!

      • this is pretty patronizing. It almost sounds like someone in the altright wrote this.

      • Doesn’t the view of Hispanics that’s being displayed in this memo resemble the view that Republicans have held for several decades when they kept insisting that Hispanics because of their family ties and loyalty to clan were natural social conservatives and so could be recruited into the Republican party with enough outreach? Truthfully I think that even if there is a segment of the Hispanic population that fits this profile, it’s strength is being exaggerated and it’s power is likely to decline over time. How long do extended family ties remain the great equalizer culture of the U.S.? Aren’t these Hispanics ,especially the lighter-skinned ones, likely to mix with the white population and lose their “Hispanic” identity? “Hispanics never re-engage?” Re-engaging is what American culture causes people to do. At any rate, aren’t the majority of Hispanic-Americans now born to single mothers? If anything will keep these people Democrats it is the culture of poverty and the dependency it brings, not any kind of Burkean devotion to the Hispanic heritage,

        July 24, 2016 at 8:29 pm

      • Hispanics are generally political atheists, with Republican leanings along the lines of Guidos-IAs. Seriously. The only reason why they appear to vote left is to game the welfare system. Once they’ve got it made, they graduate themselves to the right-o-sphere.

blacks are a different story. They vote left because they need to. blacks are dependent of the welfare system, while Hispanics need it, because it’s an icing on the cake.

        July 25, 2016 at 1:28 pm

      • Many Hispanics generally engage in real manual labor, prole work, so it would make sense that they tread right, and they do, when their income levels rise. They only vote Democratic, because of the welfare freebies, where they can game the system. blacks are dependent of the system, while Latinos game it!

Hispanic proles (with a much lesser extent of Dominicans) share similarities with IA proles. Many friendships and intermarriages occur, when they encounter each other!

        July 25, 2016 at 1:34 pm

      • Many moons ago, Harvard educated half-IA, Michael Barone, calls Hispanics, the New Guidos.

And the NYT not too long ago, thinks the same:

        July 25, 2016 at 1:46 pm

    • You are totally right. The kinds of people who are likely to be Democrats–blacks, gays, government workers, people in the “non-profit” sector, and welfare recipients (poor losers as well as the connected business people who get corporate welfare)–admire and identify with Rodham-Clinton when she gets away with lies and crimes, because THEY ALSO are always getting away with screwing over the taxpayers, though perhaps on a smaller scale, and many also feel like they are at war with the white heterosexual mainstream. Even if the middle class white establishment constantly says it loves blacks and gays, actual blacks and gays are sure that they secretly look down on blacks and find gays nauseating, and so blacks and gays think it hilarious to see the Clintons thumbing their noses at that establishment.

  6. The same people wanting to smear Bernie for his religious beliefs are castigating Donald Trump for wanting to apply a religious test to screen out terrorists. Oh Lordy, the hypocrisy!

  8. I asked this on Sailer’s blog, and I’ll ask again here: why isn’t Bernie making more of an issue of this? I know his campaign manager did, but where’s Bernie’s outrage?

Trump suggests it’s because Bernie’s too low-energy to fight anymore.

    • Because he thinks that Trump is genuinely worse than Clinton. Sanders certainly put more of a focus on traditional economic liberalism than most recent democrats but by every indication he is a down the list SJW cultural liberal who thinks that Trump is a racist, sexist, homophobic, antisemite.

      July 25, 2016 at 4:56 am

      • I don’t think Trump has a prayer of getting Bernie’s voters. Even if their positions are identical, no matter, it’s a class issue. The Bernie SJW’s wouldn’t want to be associated with Trump.

    • Trump is wrong. Bernie is enraged, his supporters are enraged. Check twitter.

He wants to leverage this to get his ideas in the platform.

“The platform won’t be finalized until the Platform Committee meets in a week, followed by a vote at the party’s convention in Philadelphia, but it’s a good guidepost for what will make it into the final version.”

      July 25, 2016 at 8:58 am

      • PS – Sanders was the one who demanded DWS’s resignation – he got it. Now he is working behind the scenes to change the platform. His supporters are swarming Philly. Exactly what more do you want? Trump is trolling.

        July 25, 2016 at 9:13 am

  9. Were these emails leaked by Russian hackers? Why? Is Vladimir Putin trying to help Trump win the election?

There is a lot of circumstantial evidence to suggest that Trump is Putin’s candidate. Trump needs financing to support his real estate holdings. Some people claim that after Trump’s string of bankruptcies he has been forced to turn to Russian oligarchs in Putin’s inner circle for much of his financing, although most of these investments are laundered through middle men. That may be one of the reasons Trump does not want to release his tax returns. They would show how dependent he is on Russian financing.

Is this why trump wants to back away from NATO?

    July 25, 2016 at 1:19 am

    • According to Wikileaks, they have released 600K damaging documents about Putin.

Oddly, Wikileaks hasn’t been damaging to Netanyahu. I’m NOT saying that this is Israeli intel, just saying that maybe he isn’t as bad as we’ve been led to believe. And perhaps Israel doesn’t loom as large in the real world as it does in the alt-right’s mind.

      July 25, 2016 at 9:01 am

      • I do find it “interesting” that Wikileaks didn’t release damaging things about the Republicans. Surely they exist. Edward Snowden is no Trump supporter but he did tweet some stuff that was kind of sympathetic to Trump a few months ago. It was something like, “Trump v. Goldman Sachs” if memory serves.

        July 25, 2016 at 9:18 am

    • Interesting possibility. I think it’s also certain that everything that was in Hillary’s private server (and any other “private servers” that we don’t know about) is now in Moscow (and probably Beijing and Tehran as well). It wouldn’r surprise me if Putin showed copies of this stuff to her and told her to do what he wanted or he would release it.

  10. The leaks also highlight the collusion between some media and the DNC.

“The DNC also made a secret “agreement” with Kenneth Vogel, an influential report for Politico. An email from late April with the subject line “per agreement… any thoughts appreciated” shows that Vogel sent an advanced copy of a story about Hillary Clinton’s fundraising to the DNC even before his editor even saw it. ..

Further evidence of the DNC’s extensive “content control” over mass media was revealed when Wasserman Schultz sent an email to NBC anchor Chuck Todd with the subject line “Chuck, this must stop,” and set up a time for the two to talk about MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski calling on Wasserman Schultz to step down.

    July 25, 2016 at 1:41 am

    • There is also the instance of a email saying that “someone” ought to ask a question about Bernie’s religion and lo and behold “someone” in the form of Anderson Cooper comes out and does just that.

  11. So DWS has been exposed as the influence peddler we always knew she was. Now Hillary has hired her for her campaign. Is this a real job or was she kicked upstairs because DWS can blackmail Hillary? Anyway, it doesn’t look good. It screams, “I’m a Dem-E tool – suck it, progs.”

And I for one, am enjoying this immensely.
