Trump not dropping out, win easy money

Easy money on Invest $92, win $8 on September 1st. The people on the other side of this transaction are taking too seriously MSM articles trying to discredit Trump because the MSM hates him so much. The MSM has been saying since last summer that Trump is about to drop out, but no one is going to drop out when they are 95 days from possibly becoming the next President of the United States. Trump knows that he’s only one ISIS attack [or Wikileaks revelation, etc.] away from rocketing to the lead in the polls again.

  1. Some discussion of Trump’s (permanent?) loss of the middle-class demographic:

White American class snobbery – appeal to proles, lose everybody else?

    • He is losing right now, though not as badly as polls overly weighted with Democrats would suggest.

Whatever the true margin may be, the reason he is behind is because he’s sitting on $80 million in cash donations without spending a dime on advertisements. $80 million is enough to blanket every swing states with the family members of Benghazi victims, Jeffrey Epstein, James Comey’s non-indictment indictment of Hillary, the Great Swiss Franc Airlift, etc., for the entire month.

Whatever one may say about Hillary no one can claim she’s not giving his campaign enough scandals to attack her with.

As long as he spends no money on attack ads, and his advisers waste time on twitter and debating whether to endorse Paul Ryan, her lead will remain. If he does put the $80 million into attack ads (what else does the Trump campaign need to go on a negative ad blitz?) her lead will disintegrate.

      • So after he blows through the $80M and is still losing by 10 points *then* can we all agree that the cheeto Jesus needs to be dumped?

The NY Times has a helpful story about Rule 9 by which the Great Pumpkin can be replaced. They are “concerned” that that the new guy might not have enough time to run a campaign but since it would be biggest story in 50 years there should be ample free media attention.

      • A replacement Republican (not going to happen anyway) would do even more poorly than Mitt Romney did in 2012. Especially if that replacement is actually Mitt himself. A lot of Trump supporters would sit out the election and not vote.

      • Waaaaaaaa!? I thought that what you guys cared about was issues and not a personality cult? What happened to that.

Surely Generic Republican is going to be much better on your dearly cherished issues than a Hillary Clinton controlled House and Senate. Its only a mater of time before wise Latina #2 and #3 incorporate the UN Declaration on Human Rights into the US Constitution and make it a criminal offense to oppose taking in undocumented immigrants. You guys arent going to stay home and let that happen are you?

Besides, I think Pence will be the candidate when Trump withdraws. He is a good consensus choice.

If he’s behind by 6 points while spending $0 on advertisements he won’t be behind by 10 when he does.

    • He is losing so badly it will be interpreted as a broad mandate to get Amnesty done. Which would be nice as then this will all be settled law like gay marriage, post natal abortion and transgender bathrooms that the NY values republicans are so happy about.

Frankly some actual billionaire should offer him $100M to go away. He will probably take it as he can then disavow his inevitable humiliating loss.

  2. Don’t forget Wikileaks.

  3. Tweet from David Plouffe:

“It is not enough to simply beat Trump. He must be destroyed thoroughly. His kind must not rise again.”

Imagine if a Republican strategist had been quoted saying the same thing about Obama or Clinton. We’d hear no end about the “hate” coming from the GOP.

    • That’s because Leftists COMPLETELY own the FRAME and NARRATIVE of this country:

The American colonists forged this ILLEGITIMATE NATION by killing innocent Indians and STEALING THEIR LAND.

America won it’s independence from the RIGHT WING snobby British COLONIALIST POWER (so it’s sort of ok, despite being an illegimate country).

The moral Union army beat the RACIST RIGHT WING Confederacy.

American wealth was CREATED ON THE BACKS OF SLAVES.

America defeated RACIST RIGHT WING HITLER.

Americans were PARANOID MCARTHYITES during the Cold War and the Soviet Union happened to fall.

America was a deeply RACIST, STUPID, IMMORAL, AND UNENLIGHTENED country until the 60s and Saint MLK and the rest.

Any deviation from this orthodoxy makes you HITLER subject to any punishment and humiliation. The Left owns this country, people know it, and are afraid of them.

  4. The bodies are piling up. The Globalist Elites are clearly very concerned.

    August 5, 2016 at 10:50 AM

    • Yes, the situation is actually extremely rickety for Clinton and the globalists. That’s why the media attacks are off the scales, even compared to the moonbattery of the primaries.

      • I hope you are right, that the attacks in Trump are more blatant because the Democrat media is desperate, but to me it seems more like they are going full throttle for Shrillary because they sense they are invulnerable. Hillary blatantly lied to Congress and to the American people, right to our faces, not just about her rapist husband cheating on her, but about breaking all those e-mail laws, and her poll numbers only improved. If Hilary can get away with everything, her supporters in the media think they can, as well, and have no reason to pretend they are objective.

  5. I’m always amazed at how easily people are swayed by media and/or events. So what, I was voting for Trump before, then he said a mean thing about some corrupt Paki grifter, and now I’m voting for Hillary?

    God people are pliable nincompoops.

  7. But if he does drop out, you lose all your money. So there’s that. And are you really so sure he wouldn’t drop out by Aug. 31 — even if he continues to slide in the polls at the same rate he has been for the next three weeks? Trump is an unknown quantity. He’s done so many things out of left field that I have no trouble believing he may actually drop out. Really, who the f*ck knows at this point?

  8. Easy money on Invest $92, win $8 on September 1st.

Is this taking into account trading costs?

I don’t want to push you or anything, but maybe someday you can write a post on betting on these betting market sites, since you blog about not infrequently. Maybe like a mini intro or beginner’s guide to betting market sites, which ones are good, your experience with them, whether or not you can make money on them, etc.

  10. Trump has emphatically stated that he will not drop out. (See “Trump Denies He’s Dropping Out” on youtube.) If he promises something repeatedly and unequivocally, you can be sure he will do exactly that. His message on trade, for example, has been remarkably consistent over the decades. If he’s not sure about what his position on a subject may be, he will try to avoid giving a direct answer and hesitate to commit one way or another. In other words, he says what he means, most of the time. He does not have a tendency or talent to lie.

Here’s an honesty test we can apply to this election: If he voluntarily drops out, then he has lied. The media should be awarded for their superb investigative skills and foresight by having their beloved candidate elected.

If he stays in the race, then there is a good probability that he will fulfill his other campaign promises as well. Such a rare, trustworthy candidate doesn’t happen too often in history and must be elected, supported and cherished.

  11. Predictit has only two fees. 10% of the gain from winning bets and I think a 5% withdraw fee. So in this case you’d win 8% * 0.855.

I started with 800, was up to 2700 at one point, now down to 1700. Most of the decline was on bets like this for individual state primaries. I disagree the chance of a Trump drop-out is much less than 1 in 12. He’s erratic, could suffer an illness being I think 70 and overweight, or could get wounded by an assassin.

    August 5, 2016 at 11:51 PM

    • So you basically doubled your money? How long did it take you?

Is it easy to make money with this thing, or do you think you just had a hot streak? Do you think over the longer run your winnings would be more modest?
