  1. Will the hurricane hit the Democratic part of Florida, suppressing voter turn out in the heavily Democratic regions of the state, throwing the Florida for Trump.

Is this hurricane path being control by the Illuminati to throw the election? Or is Vladimir Putin trying out his weather control technology in hopes of throwing the election?

    • I’m sure the Democratic party machine voter turnout a whole month form now won’t be affected.

      • Liberals will blame Republicans for the hurricane.

They’re already blaming Trump by saying the Hurricanes are caused by climate change and Trump denies it therefore Trump is pro Hurricane.

Now they just need videos of lots of poor blacks and single White women crying over their destroyed homes and say – “See, Trump doesn’t even care!!”.

Never let a tragedy/disaster go to waste.

        October 7, 2016 at 5:40 am

      • “They’re already blaming Trump by saying the Hurricanes are caused by climate change”

No one that has studied climate change seriously claims hurricanes are caused by climate change.

Most models of climate change predict fewer, but more severe hurricanes.

        October 7, 2016 at 1:49 pm

      • @mikeca: No one that has studied climate change seriously claims hurricanes are caused by climate change.

By “they’re” I infer that he means the media. And the media claim that hurricanes are caused by climate change (formerly known as global warming). But, of course, the media has not seriously studied climate change.

  3. I’m in Jacksonville … this could be a real mess. I don’t think too many people here are taking this seriously. One local newscaster just broke down in tears when he reported that officials only estimate 30% of beach residents have left. By the time people figure out that they need to leave it may be too late to get across the St Johns River bridges.

  4. Maybe this will be Trump’s October surprise? If there are mass deaths, especially of lots of old people and vets, along with lots of destroyed and crumbling infrastructure, it would mesh nicely with Trump’s talking points about taking care of the vets, old people, and infrastructure. Also looting and crime in the aftermath by blacks and illegals would fit with Trump’s talking points about law and order and immigration.

    October 6, 2016 at 5:42 pm

    • Sounds like you’re actually hoping for mass deaths, just like the Trumpites hoped for a terrorist attack that would put their man over the top.

Just how many innocent people have to die to make this man President?

      • As many as it takes to get him elected.

Well, to be honest, I’d feel bad if the number exceeded 1,000.

        October 6, 2016 at 6:24 pm

      • Well you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs.

I’m not hoping for mass death. Lots of destroyed infrastructure and looting and crime in the aftermath would probably be enough to help Trump’s talking points, but mass death would probably only help Trump even further and he would seize upon and capitalize on it, emphasizing it to show how bad the Dems are.

According to Wiki, Hurricane Katrina caused around 1,200 to 1,800 fatalities. That was in 2005, and I don’t recall it being a relevant issue in the ’08 election. The main focus in ’08 was the financial and economic collapse. I don’t think this means we need even more mass death for it to be a factor in Trump’s favor. Unlike with Katrina in 2005, we have smartphones and social media everywhere now, which means that smaller horrible events can be magnified and amplified with viral footage. Also Trump would be more aggressive about exploiting the mass deaths than establishment politicians.

      • Let’s ask the blacks in Chicongo.

        October 6, 2016 at 8:54 pm

      • Most of the deaths over the last 50 years that are propelling trump into office were the fault of liberals.

Someone care to do the math?

        October 6, 2016 at 8:57 pm

      • Liberals will blame Republicans for the hurricane.

        October 6, 2016 at 9:00 pm

      • Funny. The Trumpites are queried as to how many hurricane inflicted civilian deaths in Florida might be required to push their man into the Presidency. As though they might actually be able to prevent such deaths.

Personally, I put the number at 50.

That’s one more than the last big loss of civilian lives, coincidentally also in Florida. Of course, that loss of life WAS preventable. Except for the fact that Hillary and the Obama administration actively issued instructions that all Muslims be treated with kid gloves (“these are not the droids you are looking for”), so that the revised law enforcement “terms of engagement” rendered the FBI toothless and useless.

You can understand, therefore, why Hillary and friend find it necessary to ignore and/or lie about and/or distort the truth about terrorist inflicted civilian deaths. The Muslims have a magic talisman as far the progressive mind is concerned – they have been “oppressed”. What’s a few (hundred? thousand?) civilian deaths from “workplace violence” when stacked up against them chops?

So who would you rather, the calculating evil witch who put our nation at risk, lied about it, and is unanswerable to the law, or the flawed vessel who wants to make America great again?

        October 7, 2016 at 1:42 am

      • hurricane Sandy was a huge boon for Democrats. As was Katrina.

These storms are just proof of the need for big government. And the more damage on screen- just proves we need an even bigger government.

  5. One long range forecast has Matthew making a circle and effecting Florida again. Already water-soaked land and hurricane force winds would be more devastating the second time.

    October 6, 2016 at 6:27 pm

    • “more devastating the second time.”

      Just like a man.

      October 6, 2016 at 10:21 pm

      • Second time it’s likely to be a stalled, somewhat tedious Category 1.

  8. I just spent the better part of yesterday & today, gathering wood and hardware to board up my windows. No real action yet on the coast, 150 miles north of Miami, but it’s forecast to start heavy in about an hour. Oh well, I got two and a half days off and the weekend to disassemble everything and clean up the aftermath.

I used to share this view, but then he wrote (at Sailer’s) that Nolan Ryan was better than Koufax or Kershaw. Jeez. Such a person should really deliver his baseball opinions from some undiscovered atoll in the Carribean.

  10. What was with all the beta white knights on the last thread saying it isn’t okay to hit your wife or girlfriend? There is nothing wrong with correcting a wayward wife, it’s been done for 10s of thousands of years.

    Otis the Sweaty

    October 6, 2016 at 11:27 pm

    • That was just Yakov. He’s the only beta here. All the rest of us are girlfriend-hitting alphas.

      October 7, 2016 at 6:19 am

      • no one here is alpha, real alphas mostly dont know what the word ‘alpha’ means and if they did they wouldnt use it in any sentences.

        james n.s.w

        October 7, 2016 at 8:47 am

      • When did you stop beating your wife?

        October 7, 2016 at 9:59 am

      • The alpha’s the guy that the other guys look to for direction, right, james n.s.w.? Or maybe the guy about whom the other guys think, “Man, if everything weren’t so screwed up around here we’d be looking to him for direction”? The latter would be a “natural alpha.” So alpha-ness is scene-dependent. Lenin was an alpha. Lion is obviously the alpha of this scene.
I had a revelation about pick-up-artists after talking to one at my gym. They’re not social alphas. They’re men that must seem like fun, safe playmates to women; they don’t require any devotion or mature womanly commitment. Women who’ve had sex with them must feel as though nothing much has happened; such a trivial, fun event couldn’t possibly put you into the slut-category.
Vincent, by “beating” you mean “tickling”, right? Which wife are you asking me about? (Of course I don’t advocate hitting your girlfriend or wife; she would just say “Ow, you jerk! That hurt!” and hit you back, and then what would you do? Wife-swatting has always just been a fun-for-both-players move in certain local versions of the traditional sexual role-playing game. But it has to be part of the game-mod you’re playing. Men can’t force women to be sweetly subordinate; women have to think that it would be fun to play that role. Of course, these are the roles that men and women are naturally inclined to play. That’s why it’s the only sexual role-playing game that works and is fun for the players in the long run.)

  11. TruCons still bitching about the way Lyin’ Ted caved to Trump:

Great to see the TruCons eat their own. The only people they can really support now are Sasse, Lee, Jeb and Romney. All the others have “sold out” so are Principled Conservatives they can never support Cruz, Rubio, Walker, Ryan or anybody like them ever again.

It would be great if Sasse and Lee would cave to drive a stake further into their cuck hearts. Seeing Glenn Beck lose his mind even more than usual about Cruz endorsing Trump was a beautiful thing to watch.

  12. When Hillary finds a way to blame this on White Christian Heterosexual Men, we shall have seen Full Retard. She may be a senile old fossil from the wreck of the Age of Aquarius, but when she blames Angry White Males for the Weather, the Circle will finally have turned all the way around.
Many have wondered when this age of lunacy and social just-us fake charity and emo philistine cry bullying would end, but what Zika Chan and even Trump couldn’t do, blaming White Men for the Weather finally will. Oh the sweet tears of the Gynosupremacist Gaia Cult, when Granny swings at the wrong target again. There will be no joy in Mudville, the Weather Witch coughed up a lugey.
    Who’s deplorable now, bitch?

  14. I boarded up the house and evacuated to the most Republican part of the state, The Villages. This storm is going to be bad on the coast, and as another commenter already mentioned, these storms near election time almost always benefit th Democrats. Can you imagine the next month of photo ops in Florida as the Feds pour million into the state? This will hurt Trump.

  16. I’m right in the thick of it. The worst part is that everything is closed. Business started closing Wen. People are just looking for excuses not to work. As a result there is nothing to do other than watch the news (cable is out even though the electricity never went). It really wasn’t very bad.

    October 8, 2016 at 12:32 am

    • It really wasn’t very bad.

Yes, Hurricane Matthew paralleled the FL coast about 30 miles off shore and that greatly softened the blow. A bit worse damage in St. Augustine and Jacksonville. I lost a few shingles on my roof and the internet for 24 hours, but got a four and a half day weekend! Today was blue skies, sunny, and almost 90 degrees.
