Paul Ryan praises President-elect Trump’s coattails

with 21 comments

A few weeks ago, establishment Republicans were talking about how to distance themselves from Trump so they could keep the House and the Senate. What a bunch of scum.

  1. Someone should throw fruit at this cuck.

  2. If the establishment Republicans want to get on board with Trump, all is forgiven as far as I’m concerned. We lost millions of Romney voters that we need back for 2020.

    • This needs to be the governing philosophy.
But also a firm reminder of what drove this election. Immigration, trade deals, and obamacare.

      • I am willing to allow the TruCons to live in exchange for them displaying undying, slavish loyalty to Supreme Emperor Trump and the to destruction of the immigrant enemy.

      • Lion of the Tombstone is just that.

He will not be commenting on this site anymore after the stunning defeat of the Demoncrats.

I just love the MSM outlets that were reluctant to broadcast Trump’s final victory after garnering 270 electoral votes well into the wee hours of the night.

Ryan holding on as Speaker is unacceptable. I can live with McConnell as Senate Leader if Trump is president because McConnell is a smart parliamentarian whose experience can help pass Trump’s agenda. But Ryan is a total traitor.

House conservatives should approach Trump about helping them gather votes to take him down when the new Congress reconvenes in January to vote on a new Speaker. I doubt Trump would go out of his way to protect Ryan against a mutiny.

    • We need to shun them and develop a new generation of leaders. There is no other way.

    • Indeed, Ryan’s was a surrender speech of sorts. An acknowledgement that the American Right has a new leader. It’s the equivalent of Clemenza kissing Michael’s ring and addressing him as “Don Corleone” at the end of the first Godfather, after expressing doubts about his ascension earlier in the film.

Just as Michael, ever-underestimated, slaughtered his family’s enemies and won the respect of his doubters, so Trump scattered the Right’s enemies, and he has surely won respect among many who had reservations. Everyone loves a winner.

Trump needs to have Don Rudy and Don “The Fat Man” Christie take Ryan out in a political “hit”.

  3. What you think about stock market reaction? Everybody was expecting huge drop when Trump is going to be president, but the reaction is total opposite.

  4. I’d like to see an analysis of how pro-trump vs anti-trump republicans fared. Maybe distancing themselves from Trump wasn’t such a good idea.

  6. The media and liberals were convinced George Will, David Brooks, Mitt Romney, and Paul Ryan were “true” conservatives because they always preemptively surrender.

  7. Your enemies are your enemies. You expect them to oppose you. You can find honor in that opposition (not the way the Left fights, of course, but as a general notion).

But the Cucks are TRAITORS, which is far worse than an enemy. It is not for nothing that the lowest and worst level of Dante’s hell was reserved for Treachery, with the vilest of the vile, the lowest of the low, being Judas. This is precisely where the Cucks would be placed.

In that level, “all of the sinners are fully encapsulated in ice, distorted and twisted in every conceivable position. The sinners present an image of utter immobility: it is impossible to talk with any of them, and so Dante and Virgil quickly move on to the centre of Hell,” where the Devil himself resides.

So there you are, Paul Ryan, ONE step above the Devil. This is what Trump should do to them metaphorically: make them immobile, shut down their voices, give them nothing.

Cue Willy Wonka: YOU GET NOTHING!! YOU LOSE!!

  8. Wouldn’t a person with the supposed “intergrity” Paul Ryan has announce his resignation from Leadership at the end of that speech? That is what happens in any other civilized country when a politician stakes everything on a desired outcome and ends up being horribly wrong. Hope Trump doesn’t allow him to retain his Speakershp without a fight. Guy needs to go. “Surrender” is not enough. Ryan is a snake and it is only a matter of time before he turns on us again. And why would we want him guiding Sessions’ immigration bill through the House?

  9. Keep Ryan until his constituents throw him out, but make him literally bow and scrape every time he enters the God Emperor’s chambers. He must enter facing Trumpus Maximus, and when he leaves, he backs out, scraping the floor. That’ll teach him.

OTOH, get rid of cuck faced McConnell and replace him with Sessions, pronto. McConnell is worthless.

  10. Ryan just won another term and the GOPe still has lots of people in the house that Trump needs to work with. Can’t think of how he could purge any of them before the next midterms without also hurting his own influence. A 1st Trump term is going to be an exercise in snake handling. Everyone likes to align behind a winner but if he ever loses enough political capital they will not hesitate to stab him in the back again.
The mandate he has from his base is his insurance and if he can hold onto that the GOPe types either get converted or cleared out over time.

    • I know that Ryan just won another term. That’s great. We can torture him for 2 full years! Trump is different from regular candidates. We are willing to fall on our swords for him. Let Ryan fight us.

      • If Trump overextends with the GOPers right now, they’ll just switch sides and try to obstruct him and try to make him a lame duck like they did with Obama. Draining the swamp will take time, I think.
