Donald Trump to receive intelligence briefing today

The news reports are that Donald Trump is going to be briefed by the heads of intelligence agencies about the alleged Russian hacking and release of DNC and Podesta emails.

Trump is an expert at detecting bullshit, hoaxes, and other forms of persuasion, so it will be interesting to see what comes of this meeting.

It is beyond any doubt that info about this “intelligence” was leaked to the media for the purpose of harming Trump’s legitimacy. It is not clear that the “intelligence” is actually true, but I hope that Trump will be able to figure it out.

  4. The key issue is not so much if the Russians hacked or tried to hack the DNC; they hack everyone. But did they actually deliver the data to Wikileaks? This entire issue revolves around that.

Cybersecurity LEGEND McAfee: ‘Russian Hack’ Is NOT TRUE!

The sloppiness of the alleged DNC hack by itself proves it was not organized by a nation state, and the “utter nonsense” presented as proof of Moscow’s involvement is rather evidence of intelligence agencies being “ignorant and naïve,” John McAfee told RT.

The so-called evidence of the Russian involvement in the hacks not only looks like “the most deceptive propaganda was perpetrated on the American public” but actually proves quite the opposite, McAfee believes…

Thus, McAfee believes, the whole “Russian hacking” narrative is either “propaganda intended to incite the American people, to anger toward Russia for some reason, or our intelligence community is so ignorant and naïve that they should all be replaced.”

Cybersecurity specialist believes that based on the presented evidence the hack “cannot possibly be an organized nation-state.”

“The hack on the DNC used a piece of malware a year and a half old and there have been many updates since then, McAfee said. “This was done by an independent one person kid that downloaded the software. Please, this is not an organized hack and certainly not a nation-state that did this.”

  5. Lion,
NRx has a theory on American Government in that USG consists of a Blue Empire (Large Liberal Wing) and Red Empire (Small Conservative Wing) and that they are consistently at odds with each other. The CIA is part of the Blue Empire and is an arm of the Left. The FBI is part of the Red Empire and is an arm of the Right.

Honestly, it’s amazing to see how the threat of Russia was literally conjured up from nothing over the last three years. Russia has no desire to conquer America, England or Holland. How the media created the Russia scare from literally nothing is astonishing. Russia has an economy the size of Italy.

Within a week of the election victory, the media created a “meme” that Russia stole the election. It’s crazy!

If they did, God bless them for it. We are a captive people held prisoner by a dishonest media and a ruling elite that hates its citizens and seeks their replacement.

If Russia did all this (and its kind of pathetic to imagine that a country with less than 1/10 of our GDP controls us) then I welcome them as a liberating army. Please pass out Russian candies to all of our children from your tanks.

The reality is that our giant influence in the world is far larger than Russia’s.

  6. The CIA is corrupt from top to bottom. He really needs to clean house there.

The challenge facing Trump is that EVERYTHING in the Federal government is corrupt and full of slackers, wastes of space, meddling troublemakers and so on. The task facing him is enormous. Where do you even begin to sweep out the rot?

He will need to rely a great deal on his cabinet appointments to do the dirty work, and they will need to be men of iron to put up with the media abuse. To say nothing of all the employment protections in place that make firing people so difficult.

I think the CIA is the worst of it. They exist for the sole purpose of causing trouble. Other agencies have actual real world missions. The post office delivers mail. Pretty straightforward. It is the political agencies that are trouble.

  8. In October the Obama administration organized a briefing for Congressional leaders on the intelligence that Russia was attempting to influence the election. They were hoping to get bi-partisan support for going public and taking action against Russia. At the briefing Mitch McConnell warned the Obama administration officials that if they went public with this information before the election, then he and other members of Congress would treat that as an attempt to influence the result of the election. This is the reasons the Obama administration waited until after the election.

    • China hacked the Federal OPM records in 2015 getting all of the detailed personnel records for everyone in government. That was an enormous hack and could help them enormously in recruiting spies, blackmailing federal employees and much more.

    • If Obama wanted bipartisan support he would have arranged a meeting with Trump/Clinton and tried to work out a joint statement between them. It sounds like he was trying to swing the election by getting McConnell to join with Democrats and rebuke Trump for existing, and McConnell rightly told him to stuff it.

  10. The laziness of the media is astounding. The whole “Russian hacking” allegation is that the Russians gave the DNC’s e-mails and John Podesta’s e-mails to someone, who then gave them to WikiLeaks. Then, this information somehow influenced the election to favor Donald Trump.

What piece or pieces of information from WikiLeaks is/are alleged to have done this? No one ever asks this question and no one answers. Because there is no evidence that anything like this happened. WikiLeaks was chewed like cud on alt-right twitter, but the average voter did not really give a shit, and I don’t think there is any evidence that these leaks caused people to break for Trump.

As far as I recall, the main revelations from WikiLeaks were that some debate questions were given to Clinton ahead of time, and that Bernie Sanders was arguably robbed of the nomination. There’s nothing else. That pizzagate stuff did not register in the minds of voters. It’s utter nonsense.

The only person who lost the election for Hillary Clinton is Hillary Clinton. Due to a combination of incompetence, hubris, and stupid comments from her, she lost to one of the most controversial candidates that has ever run for office (Donald Trump). The entire media and pop-culture apparatus was pro-Hillary, and she STILL lost. All the propaganda was in her favor.

The CIA is inherently untrustworthy. They are behind some of the craziest and evil foreign policy actions in the world. They exist to cause chaos and sow disinformation. I frankly think they are a rogue organization that doesn’t really have to answer to anyone.

      • There were a lot of revelations but their impact on national news and the public was minimal. Hillary was trending upwards until the last week, in spite of Wikileaks. Comey’s last minute re-open and re-close of the investigation did more to stop her momentum than all of the Wikileaks revelations put together.
