More about the Quebec mass shooting

According to Fox News:

* Two suspects

* One a Moroccan with an Islamic name, the other has a French name.

* One of the gunmen shouted “Allahu akbar!”

* Both suspects college students at Université Laval

Doesn’t sound like French white supremacists. The liberals must be so disappointed. I know they so badly wanted to scream, “look, the REAL terrorists are white Christians!”

Some sort of Muslim gangbanger violence?

Intra-Islamic terrorism because the gunmen thought the mosque was too liberal?

  1. Is it possible the pair were gay lovers? Maybe the Arab shooter was estranged from the mosque.

  2. Someone on twitter said the French sounding guy was French Canadian father and Mooslim mother. In which case, still Sudden Jihad Syndrome.

Naturally, the press likes to lead with the non-Muslim sounding name.

  3. One was shooting while Mohammad (I think literally), as Mike said. They kill because Mohammad. The other was his little bitch, apparently, the Dylan Klebold of the two. Hard to figure out what goes through the minds of guys like that.

The Moroccan was allegedly a student. So I was half right. It’s some Muslim anger thing.

But ultimately, it was all Trump’s fault. Twitter says so.

Otis: what are they saying on Neogaf?

    January 30, 2017 at 11:01 am

    • The white dude does look very swishy and pathetic. There’s already loads of photos of him published, but I haven’t seen one of Mohammad. Will be interesting to see just how much info we get on this.

      • There’s a tweet 2 minutes old saying that “El Khadir” has been released. We really don’t know what’s going on. I’m confused.

        January 30, 2017 at 12:53 pm

    • NeoGaf is usually pretty classy about these things. If muslims, blacks or latinos carry out violent acts they always call it out and demand it be punished to the fullest extent of the law. The only time they support violence is if it employed against Trump supporters.

  4. BTW, is there a point where SJW virtue signaling and fauxrage becomes toxic to your system and you die? Because we must be getting pretty close to that for a whole lot of people.

  5. Let’s not overthink this one Lion.

  6. This is indeed a strange one. Maybe the Quebec shooter was extremely beta and just following orders from Mohamed. That seems more likely. Very strange though.

  7. I was checking out Alexandre Bissonette’s Facebook page a few minutes ago and, suddenly, it was “unavailable”. He’s the one who drove off and called police, expressing regret over his actions (and threatened to off himself). Looks like a slight little guy (anthropology student?).

The left has half of what it wants (a blue eyed suspect). But this is a weird story. I wonder if he wasn’t a convert — his Facebook doesn’t show anything to that effect — or just a “follower” of the more alpha Mohamed Khadir.

    • Maybe he’s like that Hispanic guy who was a toady of the San Bernardino shooter.

      January 30, 2017 at 12:41 pm

  8. According to Alexandre Bissonnette’s Facebook page, he “liked” Sprite, Weezer, and Marinne LePen.

  9. Lion,
Looks like the media and internet has gotten it wrong. Look at the home page of the Daily Mail. He is not the blond hair, blued eyed kid who has been circulating on the Internet. He does look Half-Muslim.

  10. Not to change the subject, but are you ready to do Trump and weed yet? Fascinating situation with weed’s popularity continuing to rise while Trump’s approval rating is lukewarm. Apparently, there has now been a task force assembled to discuss weed policy on behalf of the administration and make recommendations to the attorney general. This task force includes DAs from several states that have legalized recreational and it sounds like they’re aiming for some type of compromise. In other words, it’s beginning to look like the movement toward legalization may be allowed to continue. If it is, dems are robbed of an incredibly popular and persuasive “carrot” that I’m sure they were counting on having to dangle in front of their base for years to come. Bear in mind that dems approached weed slowly and cautiously, just like they did same-sex marriage…until the DNC last summer, when party leadership decided to adopt some of Bernie’s policies, it wasn’t really a part of their platform at all. Can’t you just see them rubbing their hands in glee, thinking of how they were gonna clobber the republicans on weed?

Will Trump finally pull the carpet out from under the dems on one of these stupid, meaningless issues?

    • Trump is anti drugs. Don’t expect any sort of marijuana legalization to come out of his administration.

      • Trump gave an interview 25-30 years ago (1990 I think) where he said cocaine should be legalized. Along with his behavior, personality, sniffling and sleep habits its one of the reasons I’ve suspected for a while he’s a cokehead.

But yeah, I doubt we’ll see any pushes for legalization from this admin, especially with Sessions at AG. I would however be very surprised if the Trump Justice Dept. starts interfering with state-level legalization.

  11. It now looks like BIssonnette was the lone gunman and Mohammed Khadir was merely a witness?

    January 30, 2017 at 12:38 pm

    • In that case the left has their perfect story; right-wing media is just as racist as the shooter, rushing to condemn Muslims…

      January 30, 2017 at 12:57 pm

      • The righties crowing that this was another example of “Trump’s luck” look pretty stupid now.

There are stories flying around, I don’t know how true, that Bissonnette was an admirer of Trump and Le Pen. Trump had better have some finesse, because this could easily cause some of the weaker Republicans to jump ship and side with the Democrats on the legislation they’re drafting in Congress to overturn the EO. Properly milked, public opinion could turn decisively against Trump’s action.

      • That’s why I make it my rule not to make those sorts of comments until we have all the facts. If only others had the same restraint.

        January 30, 2017 at 1:20 pm

  12. I wonder why everyone is silent about the shooting on Facebook? All I see are posts about how evil Trump is and how Muslims are sacred.

    January 30, 2017 at 12:45 pm

    • Everyone on my Twitter loves Trump while everyone on my Facebook hates him with an obsessive passion.

  13. To put this into context, let me tell you of the Montreal massacre. In 1989 a young man named Gamil Gharib (of mixed Algerian and French Canadian background) walked into Montreal university engineering lecture hall, ordered the male students to leave at gun point, lined up the remaining 14 female students against a wall and shot them all to death. From that time forward this incident has always and only been framed as a case of the Canadian patriarchy brutally crushing feminist aspirations. And furthermore the Canadian MSM has only ever referred to the murderous psychopath as “Marc Lepeine” slyly using only the white mother’s last name. To this day 99% of Canadians are not aware of this murderers Algerian parentage and will tell you straight to your face the case was only about Canadian men’s hatred of female engineering students.

    January 30, 2017 at 1:03 pm

    • Mass murderers at schools are a dime in a dozen in the United States. Canada pales in comparison to what you find in America.
