  1. The Left once again proves it can screw up a cup of black coffee. Or maybe was in La-La Land all along…

  2. I’m guessing the guy in charge of the envelopes attended a for profit open admission online college paid for with government money. We will be seeming more of this in coming years.

    • More likely the guy in charge of the envelopes was a highly decorated Ivy grad; they tend towards a disdain of cultivating technical prowess.

      • One’s a Cornell alum according to his Twitter profile.

      • That’s a real shame. Technical prowess can get you some positive female attention. FWIW, disassembling, cleaning and reassembling firearms has always gotten me much female attention, from the range to ROTC to fancy shoots with overpriced shotties. Strange but true…

  3. Sidenote: when Justin Hurwitz was giving one of his acceptance speeches and mentioned knowing Chazelle since they were 17 or 18, he almost dropped the “H-Bomb”, but then caught himself and didn’t mention Harvard by name. I’ve had alot of Harvard grads in my orbit since I was in college (not Harvard) and it’s always funny being able to spot that when it almost happens.

    • It’s low class to brag about where you went to college. Trump is low class when he brags that he’s smart because he went to Wharton.

Never use the word college. Try the word “school.”

    • They both went to Harvard?

That makes this snafu even better!!

What happened? I didn’t watch, and when I heard about it this morning I assumed Faye Dunaway, who is an alcoholic, messed up. But it seems they gave her the wrong envelope?

      • Warren Beatty was given the Best Actress envelope. He didn’t realize anything was wrong until he looked at the card, which read something like “EMMA STONE – LA LA LAND”. Naturally confused/mortified, he hesitated to say a word, then showed the card to Faye, at which point she just blurted out La La Land. I really don’t blame either one of them, though. It’s the fault of the producers of the Oscars, ultimately.

      • Hadn’t the Best Actress award already been given?
