Tucker Carlson

I rarely watch Fox News, and his new 9:00 PM show has been on for a long time before I finally watched. Based on only a small sampling, I think it’s the best news show on Fox.

Carlson is tough on his guests and doesn’t let them get away with stuff, but unlike his cohort Bill O’Reilly who never shuts up, he doesn’t make the show about himself, he gives his guests ample time to talk.

No wonder why ratings are up in that time slot since that bimbo Megyn Kelly left. I think this speaks well for news viewers. It turns out that they prefer a smart guy who conducts good interviews over a sexy blonde who was clearly chosen for her looks and not for her acumen.

The only negative I see is the weird quizzical expression on his face while his guest talks. He needs to do something about that.

  2. “The only negative I see is the weird quizzical expression on his face while his guest talks.”

I see it as a positive. It’s the expression he shows when his guest is defending illogically, is talking nonsense, or is evading the issue with weasel words or convoluted arguments.

  3. That look on his face, which I appreciate, isn’t quizzical. Instead, it’s the look of someone who knows he’s being bullshitted, knows the guest expects to get away with BS, and hates the guest for it. This is exactly what we have far too little of in this country. It’s also, incidentally, why I had to give up law practice. I couldn’t keep that look off my face when dealing with judges.

    “Weeping Angel malware”

    Check ’em out.

The Weeping Angel thing I think could turn into a yuge scandal, because it infects people’s cell phones. Even liberal lefty types really do NOT like the idea of their phones being hacked.

There is also an accusation being made of the CIA causing a car crash by interfering with the car’s computer controlled steering mechanism, I forget whom. I’ll look it up. You don’t have to be Alex Jones to think this is possible.

    Something big’s gawn down.

    • Based Stick Man’s legal defense fund on WeSearchr is currently up to $66,825. One thing the left does is provide their shock troops with free lawyers when they get arrested. We need to do more of that. We need more based stick men.

    • Intelligence agencies tried to undermine a sitting president and now some of their dirty laundry comes out. Quite a coincidence eh?

Let’s do the math. The deep state wages a campaign against Trump with illegal leaks and fake news. The msm attacks Trump’s claim that he was wiretapped. And now it comes out that the CIA has been engaged in a massive project to develop hacking, malware, etc to do just that. Now the CIA looks guilty and dishonest as hell. And Trump has justification to investigate them and clean house. If one didn’t know better they’d think it was planned.

      • “The msm attacks Trump’s claim that he was wiretapped”

Remember TuJ’s logic trap: if the wiretaps didn’t happen, the Russia narrative collapses. If the wiretaps happened, and they found nothing, the Russia narrative collapses.

Andrew McCarthy of National Review is writing about this. Everyone has noticed it.

OK….I still think that a President shouldn’t tweet about this at 3AM. Should be more coordinated, like a 1-2 punch. But whatever….the story has moved on from there.

      • @destructure, et al, here is a typical NY Times comment:

“If anyone still has doubts that Wikileaks and the Russians are working together to undermine and destabilize our government institutions, erode public confidence in our government, and generally wreak havoc in our country, this latest document dump should erase all doubt. We are under attack by an adversarial nation, with a President here at the helm who seems not to take any of this seriously.”

Well I don’t think that was planned, but there should be an investigation. I think someone said, start firing until the leaks stop. But why are we paying for two NSA’s? One National Security Agency is expensive enough, why is the CIA duplicating the same missions as the NSA? What a waste of money.

Heh…I guess he’s good at reading the mood of the times. I’ve never had much respect for Tucker before. He’s always struck me as a spoiled rich boy trying to find coattails to hang on to, but I have to admit, he’s doing yeoman’s work with his interviews on his show. He’s actually asking hard (what should actually be normal) interview questions, and without a friendly interviewer, most libs fall apart. It’s like giving the comment section a speakerphone to yell at the author of an illogical Huffington Post article.

      • I need to weigh in here. I’m an unreconstructed, 1970’s straight guy. I never found Grace Kelly the least bit sexy. (I also never knew a gay guy to so much as mention her, and I’m from SF.) It was likely mostly that phony English accent, but she was flat-chested too. I just couldn’t picture her flooding the bed with a raging orgasm. Kelly, just the opposite, so long as you slapped her around a bit first, like Joe Don Baker did with Sheree North in “Charlie Varrick.”

Many actresses today that are considered “hot”, like Jennifer Lawrence, aren’t attractive.

I think Grace Kelly holds up well compared to modern actresses. Yes she was flat chested, but so is Keira Knightley.

Megyn Kelly is also flirtier (or was flirty until she became self-righteous after Trump left her bleeding on the debate room floor) than the aloof Grace Kelly.

  12. Trump has really made Fox news great again. Tucker now covers immigration related subjects that in the early 2000s only ever appeared on obscure websites like vdare. It’s also funny seeing far left activists who have never had to logically debate their beliefs get utterly befuddled by some simple questioning. I generally type “stream fox news” in Google and watch Tuck on the hulkUSC website for free.

  13. Tucker Carlson invites liberal guest from academia, journalism and ngo, to destroy them in public. The weird look is part of manifesting how dumb and wrong the guest are. He does exaclty the same that other media do with hard conservatives. It’s well deserved but not interesting . Bill O’Reilly is so clever ! I love him. He is way above Carlson.

  14. Tucker got schooled by one of his liberal punching bags a few days back. She point blank asked him if he thought that African Americans weren’t as intelligent as whites, and he fell over himself in full retreat mode from the question. Context was college protests over Charles Murray speaking and whether she actually read The Bell Curve.

    • Yeah, that’s weaksauce. He could clarify what she meant by “intelligent.” If she meant lower IQ, that’s beyond debate — by descending order, it goes Jew, Asian, White, hispanic [sic, whatever hispanic means], black, as Murray’s book documents in exquisite, tedious detail. If she meant skreet smartz, gnomesayin, like where to fence a hot smartphone or score a dimebag or the best way to excape the popo, then of course blacks are geniuses.

  15. Bill Binney says Trump is right:

    https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2017-03-07/nsa-whistleblower-bill-binney-says-trump-is-absolutely-right-about-wiretap-claims

That’s not the shocker. What’s the shocker is that Binney thinks all the talk about FISA is irrelevant.

“The judges on the FISA court are “not even concerned, nor are they involved in any way with the Executive Order 12333 collection,” Binney said during the radio interview. “That’s all done outside of the courts. And outside of the Congress.”

Frankly this is all beyond me. There is a link to EO 12333 but I won’t lie and say I read it. However my gut tells me the old cynic is right. We’re all scurrying around talking about FISA, when there was an EO whose purpose was designed to turn a valid FISA order into a fishing expedition.

    Whaddya think, Lion?

Also, why are we not hearing about these allegations anymore? It’s like the 24 hour news cycle is the 24 hour amnesia cycle. There must be a furious bloodletting going on behind the scenes.

    • PS Lion: the booby-trapping story is true & accurate. This EO is truly a can of worms. As a previous commenter pointed out, we were not supposed to know of any of this, because Hillary was going to win. Add to your list of what we avoided, imagine the police state implications of a Hillary victory. The CIA is collecting data (i.e. spying) on all of us. The IRS can destroy any of us. The media can turn your name into mud.

It’s actually worse than the old Soviet Union. Yes, I said it, and I mean it.

The problem with guys like that is that you have no choice but to take their word on some things because generally..they’ve been in the intelligence community and few have. I however, think he’s full of shit. He mentioned the Kinne and Faulk story (if you don’t remember them, Google Adrienne Kinne and David Faulk-it was a big story a couple of years ago), giving it some credibility. That’s a crap story and that totally blew any credibility I had in Binney.

      March 8, 2017 at 6:29 pm

      • I don’t remember that, I’ll look it up.

Binney may be crackerballs, but his point about FISA and the EO is true, isn’t it? We may be running around looking for a FISA warrant, but the reality is that they wiretapped on the basis of other things & shared pursuant to the EO.

Eh…it depends. A wiretap for a criminal case doesn’t need any sort of FISA or EO 12333 authority. The Justice Dept could have conceivably tapped the servers in Trump Tower without any FISA or National Security Authority, depending on what was brought to the Judge, although the articles on this state this WAS a FISA warrant because…Russians.
