Haagen Dazs Pistachio Ice Cream
I found a pint at the local SWPL supermarket for $5.79.
This lacks the glow-in-the-dark green color of Chinese-restaurant pistachio ice cream. It’s a very simple combination of unflavored (not even any vanilla) ice cream with little bits of roasted pistachio mixed in. Not too sweet. Made from all natural ingredients. No weird chemicals, no “gum,” no green food dye. Not loud and in your face like Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

Why am I not writing more about Trump? I have to go to the job, and then I’ve been watching a series on Netflix, and playing Overwatch.
“Value transference” in the ice cream industry is an important topic. The old major regional and national brands were family run and achieved prominence by maintaining commitment to quality over many decades. Sometimes generations. Private Equity firms bought literally all of them out over the last fifteen years, massively cut quality, and effectively mined 50 years of brand name value into their pockets.

Unrelated fun fact: good ice cream is nutritionally very close to human breast milk. Human babies need massive amounts of saturated fat and sugar in combination.

There is a biochemist from the West Coast that advocates a pint of ice cream per day for optimal health among seniors. His name escapes me right now but pretty popular among the paleosphere (even though he himself advocates a diet drastically different than standard paleo).
You are right about the Ice Cream value transference. Breyers spent 50 years building up their reputation as the most natural ice cream with their commercials touting their “four simple ingredients”. Unilever bought them out, kept the exact same packaging touting their “natural product” and then put in to that packaging a product that was cheaper and full of crap than even the generic “store brand” ice cream. They got rid of all the premium ingredients but kept the premium packaging and the premium price. And in a final act of chutzpah, they even reduced the size of the container!
I’m glad I got the chance to experience Ben and Jerry’s ice cream in my youth back when it first went national and was still extremely good. You can still find quality ice cream, but the lack of truly national brands that sell quality ice cream blows. I had a pint last week from some small California based brand that was excellent but it set me back $7. Making your own ice cream is a good alternative, but a bit of a pain.

What are your thoughts on coffee flavored ice cream?
There isn’t that much to say about Trump right now. We are coming out of the worst 2 weeks of his Presidency from a media cycle perspective. He is finally showing some signs of recovering in Rasmussen, being up to 46% approval. We probably need 48% approval to hold the House next year. GA-06 will be the real bellwether: if we lose there then look out.

I sense the feeling among Trump supporters that the storm has passed. The Left pretty much threw everything they had at him (with the Never Trump GOP Establishment piling on) these past two weeks and it didn’t end up amounting to anything. President Trump is every bit as unstumpable as Candidate Trump. Really hope these rumors about Trump making a big public show about firing three Leakers when he gets home is true.

There isn’t that much to say about Trump right now.
Check out photos of his family and him with that dirt-bag pope.
Think about it – the “leaders” of the West hate Trump and want open borders.
The Saudi Muslims like Trump and the Dali Lama is against Europe’s open borders.
What’s going on?
And in the US Trump got 25% of the Hispanic vote and in Florida got 40% of the MALE Hispanic vote yet WHITE liberal liberals hate Trump and his White supporters with a passion.
And so do Ultra White “tru-con” Republicans!
Very complex out there.

More reasons for the states to secede. Whites can have their own entities, and Hispanics can have Florida that kind of thing.

This cheap injun has his (her?) own pistachio ice cream recipe. As a fellow tightwad, I respect that.

Your post inspired me to pick up an ice cream machine. Now, I can create my own flavors. I’ll probably lose interest pretty soon. But I’ll have fun annoying the wife and kids in the meantime. My first creation will be jalapeño and vanilla ice cream.

Lion, try pistachio kulfi. I prefer vanilla, but either one is very good. Gotta try the authentic though. Many Indian restaurants have it.

$5.75? Wow, Manhattan is expensive! HD and B&J are usually on sale for $2.50 here in California. There are other ultrapremium ones that sometimes go to $2. A pint of cream and some sugar and flavor is really not expensive.

You can buy a pint of HD for $3 in a NAM section of Manhattan.
I assume the Pistachio flavor hasn’t reached the masses.
Many SWPL trends eventually hit the proles and NAMs.

Yes, and their supermarkets carry ice cream which otherwise would go for almost 2x the price in a White section.

Harlem is in Manhattan.
(The big problem with the “magic dirt” theory is NAM’s remarkable knack for making third-world shitholes out of what would be ultra-expensive Super Zips in white hands).

The Westside of Manhattan has a few NAM sections, areas that are below and above Harlem. Washington Heights is very much NAM.
Parts of Alphabet City and the Lower East Side are teeming with public housing projects.
Lin Miranda – the creator the Broadway Show Hamilton is one of these few NAMs who are able to bridge his world with SWPLs and make millions from it. Most people who attend his show are White and affluent. Unsurprisingly, Hispanics aren’t as odious as blacks when it comes to a White reception, especially for a guy who looks Andalusian from Southern Spain.

I don’t understand this, mates. I don’t eat ice-cream, but if I did, I would buy the best. What’s $5 today? Nothing. You take your kids out and go on cheap ice cream hunt? Noway! This is retarded.
