Sense8

Just finished watching the second season on Netflix.

This should be a show I hate considering that it’s propaganda for the homosexual transgender globalist agenda. And on top of that, the science-fiction part of it makes no logical sense.

Yet, I still can’t help liking it. The visuals, the background music, the interesting characters, it’s all so captivating.

* * *

I think that my favorite character is Lito, the gay Mexican actor.

  1. I only got as far as the 3rd episode in that show. It was just too ridiculous. Try Travelers on Netflix. Much better.

It would be great if we could win by double digits. Both parties really expected this to be close. If we win by double digits this is a great sign for GA-06.

    • Lion told me what “NeoGaf” was and I already forgot — some video game site?

Re MTAL: Greg Gianforte was trading at over 80 cents on PredictIt the day before the election, implying a >80% chance of winning. Then the press corps got its panties in a bunch over Ben Jacobs’ broken glasses and GG dropped like a stone. He dropped as low as 30-something cents overnight, but by the time I’d grabbed my wallet, he was at 46 cents and climbing. Loaded up at 48 cents, for a quick double within about 18 hours.

A civil war WOULD NOT BE AGAINST THE US MILITARY.

*Disclaimer: I am not advocating the below*

First of all, most military and police are pro Trump. 2nd of all, a 2nd US Civil War would be more along the lines of social breakdown and mass communal violence then something like what is happening in Syria. The United States is a land of soft targets: right wingers would just assassinate politicians, bureaucrats and journalists and commit acts of terrorism against minorities/immigrants.

The Left would have no way of handling such mass disorder and violence.

I’m not advocating this, and if this were to come to pass I would not participate, but if Trump were to be impeached (and he won’t be), this is what would happen. It probably will eventually happen anyway.

      • In a Syria type situation where the US government and military’s command breaks down, the US would be subject to intervention by foreign state militaries, basically none of whom would be sympathetic to the armed right wingers. It would be virtually impossible for the right wingers to achieve political victory, and massacring civilians would make achieving political victory even harder and it would be exploited by foreign states as a pretext to intervene for influence and control over the expansive north American territories the US occupies. And massacring unarmed civilians is one thing. Beating state militaries is another. It would be difficult to achieve military victory against foreign state interventions.

      • There is no Western military capable of projecting force to the US. You guys sound like NeoGaf.

When US society breaks down, it’s curtains for the left. And most right wingers are neither old nor obsese, that is DKos style bullshit. In contrast, liberals really are weak pussies and their is scientific evidence to back that up.

        Otis the Sweaty

May 26, 2017 at EST pm

      • If society broke down, the US military would still be able to wipe the floor with the next ten largest countries combined. It would take years before our military capability degraded to the point where another country could invade. The most likely scenario is that bad actors would support domestic insurgency and terrorism within the US while trying to snatch strategically important territory closer to home.

      • Why couldn’t Western militaries project power into the US in the event of a collapse of the US government and military? There’d probably also be non Western countries like Russia and China involved as well.

The problem is that massacring unarmed civilians who happen to be weak pussies – news and footage of which would probably be broadcast around the world – would make political victory very difficult. And military victory against foreign state militaries would be very difficult as well.

What you call obese old White people are the parents/grandparents or great grandparents of most of the young, capable men with guns in the US military/national guard and police.

That said the revolution is being fought demographically and the families of old obese White people are not winning.

  7. “This should be a show I hate considering that it’s propaganda for the homosexual transgender globalist agenda. And on top of that, the science-fiction part of it makes no logical sense”

Almost all the cultural products of the contemporary West have that ugly sense of a decadent culture on the verge of collapse. The response (or lack of it) to events like the suicide bombing in Manchester only sharpens that feeling. If one can forget that it happens to be our own civilisation it can be quite interesting to watch and imagine how it will seem to people in the future living in a time when some kind of order has been restored, which it surely must, in some form.

Of course to people whose eyes are not already opened programmes like this must be powerful propaganda that they are on the right side of history.

  10. Lion,

You really need to watch “The Expanse”. Saying it’s “Battlestar Galactica” meets “The Game of Thrones” is only slightly overselling it. There are now two full seasons you can gorge on. It’s thought provoking. It’s hard science fiction with great world-building. It’s better than “Dark Matter”.

And there is no graphic, gay butt-sex, so there’s that.

    Joe

May 27, 2017 at EST am

    • The cast on IMDB looks very multi-culti. The show looks kind of cool, but is there a black male/white female romance? If so I don’t want to watch it. That’s worse than gay sex.

      Peterike

May 27, 2017 at EST am

      • There is every which way sex you can imagine on the show and possibly some you haven’t.

      • “[I]s there a black male/white female romance?”

There is an interracial romance between a white male and a black(ish) female. The series seems to suggest that one’s planetary identity will be more salient than race or ethnicity during an era of interplanetary conflict. I have my doubts about that, but it’s at least arguable.

The series is thoroughly pozed with Diversity is Strength! propagandizing. But what series isn’t these days? Even the Thor series has a token black character. The main protaginists in the series are a band of men and women who are not only multi-racial and multi-ethnic, but also multi-planetary.

        Joe

May 28, 2017 at EST am

    • Joe, started watching “The Expanse” and thanks for the recommendation. It’s one of the best sci-fi things I’ve seen in a while (as of four episodes in). You’re correct that the “world-building” is great — terrific sets, nice and gritty, spaceships that look like they’re about to fall apart. Way more “Blade Runner” than “Star Trek.” Good characters. But viewer beware — like in “Game of Thrones,” the show has a propensity to kill off characters you’re pretty sure are there for the whole ride.

Interesting too how the kind of white prole slobs on the asteroid speak a patois that sounds like Afrikaans.

Definitely very diversified — the big shot Earth leader is an Indian woman, of all things. And they’ve already thrown a middle aged gay couple our way (white guy, black guy!). The head of the earth military is black. And so on. But really, you can’t watch any television at all without that. At least so far they haven’t hooked up a white woman with a non-white, which is the most offensive and destructive thing in the multi-cult arsenal.

      peterike

      • The most offensive is when they pair a White man with an Asian woman, which seems to be the norm.

And now, you have a black bachelorette selecting a group of White bachelors.

I don’t understand how a show that is so confusing, so disjointed can find appeal with the general public. It’s all to much.

BTW, I can say the same about Mr. Robot. Give me straightforward drama like Breaking Bad or the Sopranos

Sense8 is one of programs they keep on the air purely to humiliate and subjugate people into leftist doctrine.

Those are fair criticisms of the show, since like GOT, it has several characters in different locales that have situations that don’t seem connected. They only connect down the road. The first season is a set up season, and it makes sense, and gets much better in my opinion, in Season 2.
