It’s the HBD, stupid
A Politico article ponders how North Korea, a poor third-world country, managed to build a nuclear arsenal. It’s such a mystery.
A program that was once derided as a “joke” is anything but funny anymore. In addition to raising a host of strategic problems for the United States, Kim Jong Un has demolished our assumptions about how nuclear weapons spread, and raises a first-order question of significant global importance: How did a nation President Nixon once derided as a “fourth rate” “pipsqueak” acquire nuclear weapons against the will of the world? How did Pyongyang manage to defy the experts?
I already explained it. The genetically high IQ of Koreans means that North Korea can produce nuclear weapons (which is only a 1950s technology), while countries in Africa are never going to do that. It’s the HBD, stupid.
What do Democrats believe?
Earlier today I wrote the following in a comment:
Specifically they [Democrats] cannot believe that Trump, who acts very prole and says things they believe are “racist,” can win an election fair and square. (Although that’s entirely inconsistent with their belief that every white person is “racist.” If every white person is “racist,” then common sense says that in a DEMOCRACY you would get a “racist” president.)
I need to modify that statement. That may be a contradiction for some libtards, but I don’t think that’s what Hillary Clinton and other elite Democrats believe.
Hillary Clinton believes that most white Republican voters are a demographic she calls “deplorables,” and that the deplorables are kept in check because her team controls the media, the lower and higher educational system, and most major corporations.
So what Clinton and other elites cannot believe is not that there are deplorables who would vote for Trump, but that somehow the liberal-controlled propaganda machine broke down and failed to prevent him from winning the presidency.
The contradiction in Clinton’s beliefs is that, for the United States, she believes that democracy only works because the deplorables are kept in check by the powerful elite-controlled establishment. But she and her ilk push for unfettered democratic elections in third world countries which do not have such a powerful propaganda machine to control their deplorables.
Clinton must believe that the problem of deplorables is strictly limited to whites in the United States. Because Muslims and Hispanics are victimized, that makes them inherently virtuous, and thus results from elections in countries where the majority are victimized are not to be feared.
Advice for Democrats
If Democrats want to win the White House in 2020, Steve Bullock is their best bet. He can win back prole whites who voted for Trump because he doesn’t come off as an insufferable liberal. And of course, he’s a white male.
But I predict that Democrats will lack the ability to rally behind someone like that. Too many in the party will be pushing for minorities or grrlpower, or at least a more woke white man.
Ford pardoned Nixon
Just reminding people. And Ford wasn’t even elected for the job. I’ve heard so much “it’s insanely unprecedented for a President to pardon someone.” I think people have already forgotten the 1970s.
Andrew Johnson pardoned every Confederate soldier.
George Washington pardoned some people who took up armed rebellion against the new federal government (in what’s called the Whiskey Rebellion).
In comparison, Joe Arpaio’s pissing contest with the federal government over whether the states can enforce immigration laws (in my opinion Arpaio is right that the states should be allowed to enforce immigration laws) was small-time stuff. And kind of ironic: unlike past rebellions against federal law, Arpaio’s small personal administrative rebellion was in favor of enforcing federal law.

Immigration, not tax reform
I am not happy about Trump pushing tax reform. We know this is going to turn into big tax cuts for the top 1% and for international corporations. And I don’t expect that Republicans in Congress are going to have any greater agreement on this than they had on repealing Obamacare.
And I am very worried about immigration. Trump has done some great stuff on immigration through his appointments and use of executive orders, but all that will be undone if a Democrat takes over in 2020 (which we have to admit is a pretty strong possibility).
I want to see statutes that permanently prevent future presidents from not enforcing the immigration laws the way Obama did. I want E-Verify to be mandatory for all employers whenever they hire someone. I want reductions in legal immigration. I want reductions in H-1 and H-2 visas. I want the wall funded. I want more immigration personnel hired so that we can deport illegal aliens faster. I want the government to stop giving benefits to illegal aliens. This is what Trump should be doing and not wasting whatever political capital he has left on tax reform.
Proles to the rescue
Recreational vehicles — airboats, Jet Skis, motorized fishing boats — have rushed to the aid of people trapped in their homes, steered by welders, roofers, mechanics and fishermen wearing shorts, headlamps and ponchos. The working class, in large part, is being saved by the working class.
If you want to be rescued from a flood, it’s a lot better to have prole Texans for neighbors than lesbian college professors from San Francisco.
I am pretty sure that the volunteer rescuers are primarily Trump voters.

Before the storm made landfall I made the following prediction:
I predict that the mainstream media will use Hurricane Harvey as an excuse to lecture us about “climate change.”
That prediction turned out to be 100% true.
Beta-male rage in New Mexico?
This sounds like beta-male rage. But there’s too much other news going on, and too few victims, for this to bubble up to being a major national story.

Shooter is a 16-year-old kid, with a white-sounding name, Christian, not a Muslim.
So just as I predicted based on the earlier news story.
Stormfront has been offline for several days
The Stormfront White Nationalist Community (stormfront.org) had it’s domain name taken away for being racist.
I did not like them because they hated Jews over there. But I think that the danger of losing our free speech rights is greater the danger posed by a forum of white-trash losers who hate Jews.
Totally surprised to see this in the Washington Post
Black-clad antifa attack peaceful right wing demonstrators in Berkeley
Their faces hidden behind black bandannas and hoodies, about a 100 anarchists and antifa — “anti-fascist” — barreled into a protest Sunday afternoon in Berkeley’s Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park.
Jumping over plastic and concrete barriers, the group melted into a larger crowd of around 2,000 that had marched peacefully throughout the sunny afternoon for a “Rally Against Hate” gathering.
Shortly after, violence began to flare. …
The rest of the article isn’t quite as anti-antifa. For example, there’s the usual quote by someone that the majority of counter-protestors were peaceful and it was only ruined by a few (a hundred) bad apples. But when there is violence done by right-wingers, that’s always indicative of the entire right-wing movement being violent.
Nevertheless, the antifas must have behaved very badly indeed to warrant this acknowledgement by the mainstream media.
Good job on the part of the right-wing protesters in not countering violence with violence, and allowing the leftists to look like the bad guys this time.
