He must hate Trump a lot to give up a $3.5 million/year job just to destroy him.

  1. Indeed, and it is because Trump threatens the entire gravy train. The billions that gets shoved around in Washington for lobbyists, contractors, analysts, inside dealing, etc. All the Obama hacks thought they had a sure thing in Hillary — she’d win and they could go on make mad bank in her administration, where the money would flow at even greater rates than before. But Trump spoiled the party.

The problem is that Trump isn’t wrecking these people nearly fast enough. He should be firing people by the thousands. He should be shutting down entire sections of the Executive branch at the stroke of a pen. He should be pushing new rules about former employees being lobbyists (like not for five or ten years after working in the government) or working for the media, and vice versa. Trump could do a lot to stop the government/media turnstile that is so important to keeping The Narrative machine going.

As for Mueller giving up a $3.5 million a year job, he knows full well that if he destroys Trump, he’ll be sitting pretty to make FAR more than that from grateful globalists.

Trump needs to go on serious offense. Why isn’t Wasserman Schultz arrested by now? Why isn’t Hillary? Huma? Lynch? Comey? ALL of these people should be perp walked into Club Fed.

People don’t want to hear it but Sessions has severely handicapped Trump in this regard. Trump can’t meaningfully drain the swamp with Sessions as AG. The Dems will tie any swamp draining back to Russia or the campaign or Hillary which means Sessions has to stay away completely and that puts Rosenstein in charge who is pure swamp.

Since Trump’s base (stupidly) won’t let him move on from Sessions and now that the Senate is suddenly unified in defense of the AG (what a coincidence!!) and will move on impeachment if Trump dumps Sessions, Trump probably has to wait until the big victories in the 2018 mid-terms before he can do much. But if he feels he needs to he can selectively de-classify everything the swampy DOJ is holding back and potentially throw everything into chaos.

      • Then thank God for sessions. Putting the opposition in jail would go down far worse than anything Trump has done so far.

      • Hey, if they’re guilty. No one is above the law. Trump could sell it and the country would buy it. Especially since a lot of Republican pols would fall too (McCain anyone??). Why do you think all the Republican Senators don’t want Trump to do anything with Sessions? Because they suddenly care about immigration enforcement? Hah!

      • Trump will continue to deport unwanteds the lumpenprole army of the liberals and the lugenpresse until his power is consolidated. It’s partly why he has so many generals in senior positions of his cabinet now. Once he has the unquestionable support of the military, and parts of CIA/FBI he will root out the remaining opposition with extreme prejudice, curb stomping every shitbag leaker, lackey, and pizza eating clown until they are begging for death.

Trump is the dictator that was promised.

Liberals should have been nicer to GW Bush junior. He will look like a kind man before Trump is done burning these vermin to a crisp.

  2. He sells his access to people in government who are corrupt. I am normally so cynical about high level government workers, but even I am surprised at how profitable it is. I’m sure that after the Trump fiasco his earnings potential will be even higher.

  3. Was he really giving up $3.5 Million per year? If he was a partner, he could have sold his share before taking the job for a lot higher than $3.5M.

This part was the most interesting in the story:

“Mueller’s speaking engagements brought him about $241,000 since the beginning of 2016, the report says. His most lucrative speech during that period was to the Mexican bank Banamex for $52,000.”

I can understand paying Hillary Clinton $250K for speeches because she has a lot of influence. What do you get for paying Mueller $50K? Is there any special privilege he had that we are not aware of? I feel like there is a lot more to these high paying speeches than the public is let on to. What are these companies getting for paying non-politicians so much money? they are obviously not dumb so that there has to be a motive for this.

  4. In fairness, a long time ago he gave up a cushy corp law job to take a lower pay Homicde prosecutor job for the Feds if I recall correctly from the book “The Threat Matrix: Inside Robert Mueller’s FBI and the War on Global Terror”. Interesting fun fact aside from that book, Comey and Eric Holder are or were big time buddies.

  5. The article does not say how much Mueller and his assistants are being paid now. Maybe the DoJ is paying him $3.5M. Civil servants do not make that much, but as a contractor, the sky’s the limit.
