Trump was right! His wires were tapped.

Paul Manafort was wiretapped, and as a strange coincidence, he lived in Trump Tower since 2006.

“My” refers not to Trump’s personal wires, but the wires in what he considers his building, because his company built it, manages it, and is headquartered there.

Liberals were outraged when Trump tweeted this, but I say Trump was telling the truth.

  1. Libtards are saying Trump was lying because Trump *personally* wasn’t tapped, but the fact is that Trump said Trump Tower was tapped. And it was. Media said it was a conspiracy and it was obviously 100% true.

On NeoGaf, they are reporting about how coworkers are saying that Trump was vindicated, which he was. Of course the Gaffers are scoffing because they are bunch of snarky idiots but the people know that Trump was correct.

    • Manafort probably had telephone conversations with Trump that were eavesdropped. If so, then Trump was personally tapped.

      • And why, if he had any substance to his claim, didn’t he substantiate it either through public channels or a leak? Trump has some positive qualities but trying to pretend he’s not a relentless bullshitters just makes people look stupid.

      • Maybe Trump did not want to be accused ot interfering with an investigation. Maybe Trump thought that people should believe the President. Maybe Trump does not think he needs to prove things to the press corps. Maybe Trump wanted to wait until the full story could be revealed.

      • He Mr Magooed his way into being quasi vindicated

Maybe Trump did not want to be accused ot interfering with an investigation.

        He fired Comey.

Maybe Trump thought that people should believe the President.

Then why does he bullshit about anything and everything constantly?

Maybe Trump does not think he needs to prove things to the press corps.

What about his voters and supporters?

Maybe Trump wanted to wait until the full story could be revealed.

The full story still can’t be revealed. We don’t know the extent of the wiretapping of Manafort.

Firing Comey was the necessary and proper thing to do. Comey is a self-serving, untrustworthy snake consumed with his own importance. And the way Trump fired him – sending the message to the media first – was excellent. Comey deserved to be humiliated.

      • Lion thinks firing Comey was retaded, Bannon thinks it was retarded, I think it was retarded and I’m not aware of anyone of any subtance saying it was a good idea. You two both aren’t very bright but if you want to link to someone intelligent making the case then I’ll definitely read it.

      • Trump probably didn’t know about the wiretaps until after he was elected President, so it wasn’t dumb of him to hire Manafort. And Obama probably never expected Trump to win the election and gain access to the wiretapping information.

    • I was so sure that Trump was telling the truth with the tweet earlier this year about wiretapping the tower that I screen capped the ridiculous headlines of the MSM websites and saved them to a folder on my hard drive to have fun with them at a later date, which turned out to be today. Their reaction made it completely obvious that Trump was onto something.

      • But “his wires” weren’t tapped and it wasn’t done right before the election. Like I said it’s almost as bad as trying to vindicate some biblical prophesy or something.

He’s a total bullshitter. You also have to look at his comments in the context of his decades of habitual brazen lying.

        September 19, 2017 at 6:35 pm

      • It is literally other-wordly to me that you would use the argument that “wires” weren’t tapped. No govt person has physically tapped a wire in decades you obnoxious, low-character, dishonest insect. He was right and every person who doesn’t belong in a sanitarium knows that the MSM got marching orders to mock the hell out of him that day from the same people who bugged him or their close criminal associates. It is unreal that there are people like you who are so emotionally tied to the feeling you get from belonging to a wuss group of self-pitying losers that you can block that reality from your world.

        Copperhead

        September 19, 2017 at 10:32 pm

      • You willfully misread what I said. Look where the quotation marks are. The connections that were tapped were not his. The wiretap was not against him. He was just the one stupid enough to hire as head of his campaign someone that was under wiretap because of his connections to the Russian government (and to compound that stupidity many times over by fawning over Putin, firing Comey, etc. etc).

        Magnavox

        September 19, 2017 at 11:44 pm

    • I disagree…now. I originally took this as a Mr Magoo move too, but I’m thinking now that Manafort probably knew that he was under surveillance a long time ago; This investigation started in 2014. So Manafort may have told Trump to be careful in calls to him on the phone because he’s being bugged.

So Trump probably knew Trump Tower was bugged for quite a while, and generated a tweet that would drive the media crazy and force them to cover it.

      Which they did.

  3. Assuming the head of the campaign was probably talking to Trump couple of times a week means that Trump was effectively wiretapped.

    September 19, 2017 at 5:31 pm

    • Trump never provided any evidence, and he wasn’t the target of the wiretap and considering his business record he has reason to be paranoid, but he was guessing he was being tapped when it was someone else. I’m going to state that it’s going to rain, wait and see eventually it will be true; and it’s also going to be sunny, cloudy, windy, and calm- and all my predictions will come true because I’m kind of like a smart person.

  4. Lion — What you think about Nicole Malliotakis becoming mayor of New York City? She was a Trump supporter, but that doesn’t mean anything.

She’s only 36 years old — part Cuban and part Greek who grew up in Guido Island. I’m sure many guidos will be voting for her. I think she has a chance with Hispanics, because she’s part Hispanic and many SWPL women might like her, because most young women lean liberal, even right wing women all have a liberal streak.

  5. Manafort is requesting that the DOJ release all transcripts and that the DOJ investigate the illegal leaks. I assume that this is a bit of grandstanding and that there is no way the transcripts will be released. But, I was wondering if anyone knew if Manafort could sue for reckless misconduct at the DOJ, assuming Manafort is innocent. Certainly Manfort’s business has been ruined by the leaks.

  6. I’m not buying your logic at all. If I claim I was wiretapped and present no evidence I do not get proven right when it comes to light that someone else who lives in a different apartment was tapped! Trump is mentally ill.

    • Hey, take it up with CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/18/politics/paul-manafort-government-wiretapped-fisa-russians/index.html

CNN says it’s true so why does Trump have to “present evidence?”

“US investigators wiretapped former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort under secret court orders before and after the election”

“The government snooping continued into early this year, including a period when Manafort was known to talk to President Donald Trump.”

      Case closed.
