  1. Who would have known fourteen/fifteen months ago when the MSM started this fire (which was supposed to finish Trump off), that it would end up engulfing so many of their own. The bonus to this story is that Glenn Thrush is a male feminist!!!

    • What is the evidence that the current hysteria was engendered (haha) as an attempt to damage Trump? Seems to me that during the campaign, the professional muckrakers searched high and low for women to accuse Trump of sexual misconduct and came up with very little.

  2. I figure a bunch of high profile false accusations will poison the well before then, but they’re hoping to keep this up until it can be used to destroy Donald Trump in 2020.

  4. Is this still just the beginning?

    Yes.

Now that women have the upper hand don’t expect them to give up this new advantage.

This just goes to show that women are inherently evil, ignorant, and incompetent while men are inherently good, wise, and the only gender that can be trusted with power.

Second, don’t act all rapey towards the girls and then gossip about how noble you were in setting her on the straight and narrow. These guys deserve what they get.

      • I’m not sure it’s as easy as Gothamette says. I’m a a professional and I’ve been the subject of two false complaints to my licensing board. It’s a stressful process even when (1) you can document that the complaints are false; and (2) the complaints are rejected at the threshold.

In the current atmosphere, a complaint of sexual misconduct is going to be taken pretty seriously and by their nature, such complaints are often difficult to disprove.

I suppose I’m one of those gloating conservatives. Also, it seems that at the moment, most of these Harvey Weinsteins really are sleazy guys who deserve the negative attention they are getting.

But I don’t think people realize just how bad things can get in an atmosphere where you can create a world of grief for someone just by pointing the finger at them. There are a lot of women out there who are crazy or evil or both and would think nothing of making a false accusation.

  5. The latest accusation against Franken is pretty tame. On a level with pinching her fanny. All it reveals is a lack of class on his part.. Making a big deal out of this is ridiculous. Of course if it were Trump doing the touching, it would be considered “sexual assault.”

      • When I was 35, I had my ass pinched by a luscious 21-year old babe who looked a lot like Charlene Tilton. It was in a law office in a famous Western town where she was our receptionist. The ironic backstory was that the year before I arrived, the firm had paid a sexual harassment settlement to a secretary who was a “Bud Girl,” i. e. one of those stacked chicks that Budweiser dressed up and paid to make appearances at car shows, rodeos, and such. One of the married lawyers lost his sense at a softball game and said to her, “Tracy, you look so good I could do you on top of home plate right now.” Anyway, I passed it up because I always made a point of not fishing off the company pier, but in the back of my mind I wondered if the receptionist might be
        angling for a payoff too.

Nothing Al Franken is accused of is all that bad and Thrush sounds like an average single guy who hit on younger women who he found attractive while they were both drinking and socializing. Watch these freaks being affirmative consent to flirting.

If this continues, it’s going to drive all of the competent, charismatic, sociopathic straight men out of the democratic party and you can’t win elections without them. The male drive for power is mostly about sexual access.

So why are many sexually attractive women found in the workplace surrounded by a sea of horndogs?

  9. “It wasn’t that Thrush was offering young women a quid pro quo deal, such as sex in exchange for mentorship. Thrush, just by his stature, put women in a position of feeling they had to suck up and move on from an uncomfortable encounter.

On that night five years ago, I joined Thrush and a handful of other reporters for a few rounds at the Continental, a Politico hangout in Rosslyn, Virginia. At first, nothing seemed strange, until the crowd had dwindled down to Thrush, me, and one other female colleague.

Thrush tossed a $20 bill at her and told her to take a cab and leave us, “the grown-ups,” alone. He slid into my side of the booth, blocking me in. I was wearing a skirt, and he put his hand on my thigh. He started kissing me. I pulled myself together and got out of there, shoving him on my way out.”

This is not workplace harassment, at all. Woman goes out drinking after work to a bar, drinks a bunch, and then stays until the very end of the night so they are the last two people at the bar. Guy thinks he is going to get lucky, goes in for the kiss, doesn’t rape her or anything. Hand on thigh. Geez. Dude didn’t get past first base, barely even got to first.

Why on Earth does she think men and women go out drinking together in bars? Because beer has lots of vitamins?

Now if he had ordered an international bride from a catalog or met a nice conservative girl at church he wouldn’t have had all these headaches.

    • This really is getting to be ridiculous. This is nothing.

Sexual H\harassment was origianlly a boss using his power to try to get sex in return for a raise, promotion or job.

It wasn’t saying an risque joke or saying something a woman didn’t like,

The Eagle’s song King of Hollywood is about a producer using his power to get women. This goes back to the beginnings of the film business most likely.

    • “Why on Earth does she think men and women go out drinking together in bars? ”

That’s an important question. Here’s a quote from the article:

“They were relatively early in their careers compared to Thrush, who was the kind of seasoned journalist who would be good to know”

There’s your answer. When you are a man who is somewhat successful, women start coming out of the woodwork looking to spend time with you so as to make use of your resources and connections. That’s female instinct — to make use of their sex appeal to get opportunities from men.

Glenn Thrush is physically unattractive and were it not for his career success, none of those girls would ever give him the time of day. In fact, I think there’s a good chance that the girl who wrote the article would have had sex with him if she’d had some assurance that he would actually help her and wouldn’t just forget about her the next day. Why else would she let herself get alone with him at a bar when she could have easily made an excuse and left at the same time as everyone else?

Intelligent men in cognitively demanding fields seem to think that their wit, intelligence and authority can somehow compensate for their total lack of sex appeal to young women. Look at the photos of Thrush. He is a flabby, bald, short, 50 year old man without a hint of alpha on his mien. 20 something women are repulsed by such men. So, I can see Rose getting the sack, as he is public figure on TV, so if he has a bad reputation, that would reflect badly on the network, affect advertising revenue, etc. But Thrush is a relatively anonymous hack at the NYT who was creepy at Politico, where he must have been something of a big fish in a small pond.

It is hard, legally speaking, to get fired for that. Not an expert here, but it actually seems impossible to get fired for this. Really, only Politico can fire him, but he doesn’t even work there anymore.

    • The individual accusers want a chance to be in the limelight and a chance to get revenge on the male sex, particularly lefty icons who wronged them.

Think about it this way: you are a young leftist, meeting a hero of the left wing movement, a guy you assume is all about defending the weak and promoting women and gays and minorities. Then he tries to get in your pants! This guy is a hypocrite—the priesthood of your religion has proven corrupt, threatening your whole worldview! Devastating, but what can you do? This guy is a hero, who will believe you? Besides, if you blow this guy up, it might help the Republicans or Christians or capitalists or whoever your bogeyman is. Then, years later, other women start overthrowing other leftist heroes. The world will believe you now (and the icon is over the hill, anyway.) This is your chance to get famous, get revenge, and cleanse the left wing movement. How can you not take it?

  23. This is all nothing but theater.

Either something coming down the pipe is being covered up or HWood is trying to set up some morality play for cuckservatives.

Until I see loss of money, prison or bankruptcies, I ain’t buying.

    • Throwing Bill Clinton under the bus is crazy. He was the Democrat President for eight years just recently, and widely regarded as historically one of the better ones. His era is remembered well.

There is nothing new with Clinton, just the same old history. But whereas at the time his women were rightly regarded as loose floozies and equally complicit, in the retelling he becomes a predator and they become victims. It is feminists driving this bus, not canny Dem operatives. And media is now overwhelmingly comprised of women.

This is not R vs. D. This is men in general being railroaded by women in general, where women reject all responsibility for their own actions. Heads of corporations are terrified of bad publicity and lawsuits.

      Who knows where this goes?

      • Don’t shill for Slick Willie. Lewinsky gave consent, but numerous women credibly accused Clinton of grossly predatory behavior, and were unfairly maligned by the Democrat machine, which includes 90% of the news/Hollywood media. It is great to see the Clintons being humiliated; they have deserved to be destroyed for 20 or 30 years.
