Lion of the Blogosphere

This is just Trump being Trump

Trump got a lot of flack for this tweet.

But he said or tweeted the same about Mitt Romney in March 2016, and I think I was the only person who noticed. I tweeted about it too:

Trump is guilty of treating men and women exactly the same way! (Equally prole and unpresidential.)

Women are too damn sensitive. If they want to be like men and do man things like be Senators, then they need to be able to take the heat the same way as a man.

If you don’t get the Midnight Cowboy reference, read what I previously wrote about that movie.

You have it backwards again, Lion. The point is that isn’t that women should toughen up it’s that men shouldn’t have the power to hurt their feelings.

    • Power to “hurt their feelings” is something that has to be given. Men don’t magically have special insult powers that men don’t have.

    • Steve sailors post on this are always pretty funny. “Man says woman is oversensitive, women react by being oversensitive”

Women know that not enough of them would win in a fair fight. It’s soft bigotry of low-expectations. Affirmative action requires it.

  5. There is nothing wrong with women’s touchy, over-emotional reaction to minor slights — it is their essential and perpetual childlike nature, and trying to conquer it is futile. We err when we pretend women are the same as men and then give them political power. No sane state gives power to children or people with the minds and temperaments of children.

    • Except there are lots of very pleasant counties with more women in positions of public power than in the us.

      • I presume you are speaking of the staunchly Christian anti-abortion women elected to serve in fly-over country local governments when you call some place pleasant? These are women who despise the current crop of #MeToo hypocrite harpies and who generally regard NOW and it’s members as a social monstrosity. They are the polar opposites of Lena Dunham, Jane Fonda, Nancy Pelosi or this particularly noxious immigrant POS:

      • Those countries are being flooded by Muslims who “grope” and “harass” the non-publically-power-positioned women there. (But “women in positions of public power” = spokeswomen, like the anchorwomen at news desks. According to Belloc, the Cecils ran Elizabeth I’s England. And she may have been a genetic male anyway.)

      • Magnavox is probably referring to the Scandinavian countries. He admires their welfare state but completely ignores how much their societies are permeated by political correctness.

      • Magna, those Scandinavian countries are a living hell for any normal, healthy, energetic specimen. Good for negroes and Muslims to go on the dole while the money is there.

Who the hell wants to pay 180% tax on a tinsky stupid car to support foreigners on the dole?

  9. USED is referring to Trump himself, no? She went to him for money, and told him what he wanted to hear (even though that included bad-mouthing the Clintons). It was just words though, she didn’t mean what she said. He gave her money, now he feels used.

    That was my take.

  10. Sorry, OT, but did you ever learn something, at an advanced age, that turned out to be the complete opposite of what you thought you knew? Tonight at an Italian restaurant in SF our server is an extremely light-skinned woman from Mexico, what Sailer would call a Conquistador-American. She tells us her name is Lupita, which I assume is the diminutive of Lupe. But she says no, in Mexico Lupe is a boy’s name, in fact her brother is named Lupe. Could she just be yanking my chain?
