Jeff Sessions op-ed in the Washington Times

with 17 comments

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/jan/21/donald-trumps-immigration-principles-will-make-ame/

The reading experience will be better if you have a good ad blocker.

So a more mainstream newspaper like the New York Times wouldn’t print an op-ed from the Attorney General?

President Trump ran for office arguing for a merit-based system that lets in the best and the brightest but turns away criminals — even if they do have a relative here.

It’s a commonsense idea. After all, employers don’t roll dice when deciding who they want to hire. Our incredible military doesn’t draw straws when deciding whom to accept. But for some reason, when we’re picking new Americans — the future of this country — our government uses a randomized lottery system and chain migration.

I’m not sure I remember Trump saying that, but it sounds like a much better idea than the current immigration system.

Stephen Miller in the Washington Post

with 19 comments

Read the article. But don’t read the commenters, they are full of hatred, and I would even consider many of them to be anti-Semitic.

This bit is interesting:

When Trump solicited Miller’s opinion on Bannon, Miller told the president that he believed Bannon was leaking to the media and that he would be doing much better without him, said two White House officials with knowledge of the incident.

We now know that Bannon was doing a lot of leaking, Miller was right. Apparently, Bannon and Miller didn’t get along very well even though they were both ideologically on the same team.

The good news here, and it’s really good news, is that Miller has the ear of Trump and he’s also tight with General Kelly because they both agree on immigration policy.

Also, if the shutdown continues for another six days, then Trump will be reading a State of the Union Address probably written by Miller.

Stormy Daniels

There was testimony by an Arkansas state trooper about how much cheating Bill Clinton did while he was governor of Arkansas and no one cares about that, so why should I care about this story? Apparently not many people do care, it’s not gaining much traction.

As long as Trump doesn’t lie about it under oath. If Clinton had just said under oath “yes, I got a few blowjobs from her, and I enjoyed it,” then there wouldn’t have been a Starr Report and impeachment.

* * *

And I may also point out that had there not been a semen-stained dress, then everyone would have believed Clinton was telling the truth, and everyone who said otherwise were just part of a right-wing conspiracy to slander the President.

Click here to watch Bill Clinton lie. Clinton was a way better liar than Trump, that’s for sure. Trump isn’t even a liar, he’s merely a bullshitter, and not a very good bullshitter either.

How long will the shutdown go on

with 22 comments

I think a long time.

The Democrats HATE Trump too much to give in.

And Republicans have experience with government shutdowns and won’t cave in so readily.

There won’t be a resolution until it becomes apparent which side the public is blaming for the shutdown. This is why it’s very important for Republicans to spread the message that “the Democrats are shutting down the government in order to give amnesty to illegal aliens, but even so the President and Republican were will to make a deal in return for programs that would guarantee that our immigration laws would be enforced in the future and that AMERICAN WORKERS are protected from competition from immigrants. The Wall, E-Verify, ending chain migration, and ending the visa lottery, all programs that would benefit workers, keep out criminal gang members, and save us money in the long run.”

Trump’s tweet this morning is OK, but Trump never mentions jobs when he talks about immigration, for him it has always been about law and order. Remember my analysis of this Republican debate.

Passengers (2016)

with 32 comments

I enjoyed watching this movie. Two attractive white people, a very interesting space ship, robots, no SJW crap, what’s not to like?

Oh, but critics HATED it, because they didn’t agree with the message, not because it’s an unenjoyable movie.

Sorry for this digression from watching current movies headed for the Oscars.

Kelly saved us from last-minute amnesty deal?

with 49 comments

NY Times:

As the evening wore on, Mr. Schumer got a call from Mr. Kelly that dashed all hopes for a Trump-Schumer deal before the shutdown deadline of midnight. Mr. Kelly, a hard-liner on immigration, the person familiar with the call said, outlined a long list of White House objections to the deal.

I don’t have faith that Trump can be trusted, but luckily General Kelly is on the side of American citizens.

Democrats crazy for amnesty

with 95 comments

I think the Democrats will refuse to support anything because they are pissed at Trump (even more than normal) and have tied funding the government to their insane and crazy push for amnesty for “childhood arrivals.” Democrats are putting everything on the line for a class of people who don’t even vote!

I certainly hope this will hurt Democratic popularity (among actual voters) in the next elections, but with the MSM acting as their propaganda wing, who knows?

I support Trump for not giving in (even though maybe it’s General Kelly who’s not giving in).

Good new, DoJ and Homeland Security are opposed to the horrible Democratic deal that certain turncoat Republicans wanted to agree to.
