Asians protesting De Blasio

Asian groups are pissed off about De Blasio’s plan to wreck Stuyvesant and Bronx Science by diversifying them. Stuyvesant is currently 73% Asian and only 19% white. So even though Stuyvesant is only 19% white, it’s still not considered diverse because “diversity” comes from blacks and Hispanics, not from Asians. No one ever says the NBA needs more diversity because it’s 74% black.

If Republicans were smart (which they are not) they would take advantage and try to encourage this fissure in the Democratic coalition of minorities where Asians get the short end of the stick.

The need for HBD

I found this in a comment at another site:

“While black and Hispanic students account for 67 percent of public school students, they only made up 10 percent of the offers at these specialized high schools in the most recent school year. Asian-Americans, who make up 16 percent of public school students, received 52 percent of the offers in the past year.”

it’s by definition not an equitable situation, unless you assume that some races are innately more intelligent or are more high achieving than others. which is not the case, there are no individual differences that are based in race as race is not a biological but a socially constructed category.

Well that’s exactly the case, Asians have genetically higher IQ so obviously they are going to rock the admissions test compared to blacks who have genetically lower IQ. And that’s why schools like Stuyvesant with test-based admissions are such a good thing for education. Kids learn best when they are with other kids at their level. When dumb kids are thrown in with smart, the instruction gets reduced to the level of the dumb kids, and the brains of the smart kids are allowed to go to waste.

  1. Its always been a little shocking to me that Affirmative Action hasn’t become bigger issue than it is. Especially in this new Trump era.

Not that I’m complaining, of course.😊

  2. Even if Republicans made an outreach to Asians, I’m still not sure they would accept. Republicans are seen as the party of businessmen and Asians mostly want to become engineers, doctors and other professions that are brainy and beta. Plus they are seen as the white party.

Instead, Trump could troll the Democrats and make them look bad in the eyes of Asians, thus not motivating them to vote for them at all.

This is true to an extent, but the white males mating with asian ladies are usually low-t, urban, SWPL, pussy-whipped, Democrat voters. This fact should be exploited.

White conservative people should not carry any baggage for asians. Let them fight their own battles.

Might be true on the East Coast, but in California (which has the largest Asian population in USA) a lot of that is Marines and Military guys. Not that it really matters much. One thing I’ve noticed is that most SJW type Asians are extremely ugly and undesirable. GOP Asian girls are usually attractive. So just send out cute single GOP Asian girls to do outreach to Asian college aged men.

The problem really isn’t that winning the Asian vote would be hard (Asians used to vote GOP when most Asians in this country were Vietnamese and multi-generation Chinese) but rather that it would require people like Paul Ryan to utilize tactics that go against their core belief in Affirmative Action and the Browning of America. The GOPe is never going to use affirmative action as a hammer because opposing affirmative action is “racist” and racism (as defined by the Left so no, Asians don’t count except in the few instances where counting Asians hurts whites rather than blacks and Mexicans) is the worst thing in the world.

The GOPe strategy is basically mass importation of mestizo peasants, and when they all get settled we’ll just use logic and reason and Spanish language copies of Atlas Shrugged to mass convert them to Republicanism.

      • It’s worse than that. GOP wants to use their higher intelligence to become a permanent overclass ala Mexico.

It’s a pure subversion of our constitution. It’s a testament to the strength of the document that the only way to truly usurp it and 800 years of Magna Carta is to basically eradicate the people who wrote it.

The constitution has been usurped so many times now it is more like a group novel than anything. Starting with Hunter’s Lessee, the National bank and moving on to the Civil War and the Administrative State, there’s very little in our present government the founders would recognize as rationally derived from the constitution. Switzerland, modeled after our original constitutional form of government, is much more ‘American’ than is the present US.

The American federation, a real federation, was dissolved during the Civil War so the railroads could extract government benefits.

Sure, with an Asian flare and they have other quirks in their fringe cultures, but observe middle class business and mainstream social fashion for Japanese women for example. No American women dress like that anymore. Japanese women look gorgeous as a result (as far as they go). Now ad in the social culture.

We were the left over colonies. There were some United Empire Loyalists but I don’t hear about them now. You don’t see a lot of flags. Nobody has them around their house.

Nor are they particularly religious. That’s seems to be a Southern US thing. Canada likely has more church goers than Europe, but not as many as the Southern US.

That explains why they can attract immigrants.

      • You obviously don’t have the situation as in Vancouver, which is extreme. Plenty of foreign money here. Plenty running businesses bigger than a corner store.

However it’s worth noting in some cases the Chinese (I don’t think it applies to the subcontinentals) are still running businesses in China. There’s a lot of expensive houses bought and boarded up. It’s seen a safe place if things go south in China.

For example, you’ll have a family living in a luxury house but their income tax returns indicate they’re at the poverty level.

Most of them are more integrated than that. But unlike San Francisco and New York there are few big companies based here. When I was young, forestry was the province’s major business. That’s changed a lot.

But there’s no affirmative action, except a bit for natives, the only group that are at a disadvantage. (Mostly because of being prone to alcoholism.) The universities go strictly by merit except for the natives.

The most successful Chinese (top scorers) leave for the US.

Our idiotic PM is loading up on undesirables but the cost of housing is so extreme that you need to bring cash with you to live in Vancouver.

Toronto, also extremely diverse, has a lot more big companies there. (There was a mass exodus from Montreal after the separatists won provincial elections and started passing language. Most of the companies moved to Toronto.)

So it’s not like he would have felt any obligation to actually follow through on anything.

Lots of positive developments and reforms are occurring on taxes, trade, fighting crime, combating illegal immigration, cutting regulations, improving the culture (de-legitimatizing sports ball), etc.

I know you’re a Trump hater but the president doesn’t have legislative powers. The executive branch however is by far the most important branch of government for getting things done as the president is mostly just a policeman and represents the country internationally.

Both 2015 and 2016 were major turning points in US history. Trump crushed the left, right, center, and mainstream media. Reforms only began in 2017 and we’ve got several years more to go but this struggle is permanent. Trump has delivered big change not just the limited reforms that past presidents delivered.

        redarmyvodka

His base probably is stupid enough to think that cutting regulations helps them, but they’re wrong. As for all the other stuff you’re just talking out of your ass.

Trump has incredible power over trade and immigration. He just staffed his administration with Washington establishment republicans, and we’ve seen the inevitable consequences of that. They’re pro business and pro wealthy, as they’re concerned Trump’s white middle and working class base are just a bunch of gullible rubes (which is true) and don’t have legitimate interests (which isn’t true).

      • Tax cuts are a standard part of the GOP platform. I don’t recall Trump ever claiming otherwise. Are you a government employee? Only someone with zero private sector experience would say the stuff you have. With the exception of safety related regulations cutting red tape and other onerous regulations helps people particularly small business people. In places like California fake problems like global warming are invented to squeeze business while enriching lawyers/bureaucrats.

Growing the economy is important because we’ve been in a semi-depression since 2007. Merely restoring economic stability isn’t the same as a recovery. Tax cuts stimulate growth or at the very least allow more people to keep their money. Trump’s tax cuts have also punished rich people particularly rich liberals because local/state taxes are no longer deductible from federal taxes. This will prompt reform at the local and state level even in California because for too long people with money/influence have let the state decline while they live it up.

Yes some of Trump’s appointments were less than ideal but many important reforms are still being made. Trump pulled the US out of the disastrous TPP which liberals like you would have celebrated as it destroyed what remained of the American economy. The only gullible rube here is you because most people despised the cuckservative/SJW consensus on “criminal justice reform” which would have seen BLM style riots 24-7 and a massive spike in crime. America would not have survived a Jeb Bush/Hillary Clinton presidency.

The policy issue with Stuy admissions is all about definitions of fairness. The DeBlabbio position is that low numbers of black admits are unfair because – well, it just is that’s all. But if black culture is recognized as militantly opposed to the type of academic effort that Asian kids routinely exert in the earlier grades, then there’s no unfairness even if we concede, as blacks themselves demand, that they’re generally equal to other groups in IQ.

    • Yep. For this very reason I utterly despise white people. They are afflicted by a disgusting mental disease that I’m beginning to suspect is genetically ingrained. The word Cuck is such a perfect encapsulation of modern whites that it’s no wonder it has caught on like wildfire. Their complete refusal stick up for their own group self-interest is only the beginning of the perversity. These sick fellows take immense joy in going the extra mile to worship members of other races simply for being of another race while looking for absolutely any opportunity to tear down those of their own race. You can see this phenomenon in sports, music, and every other aspect of popular culture. Sure, a lot of this is driven Top-Down by the elites via the media but a healthy mind will easily reject pozz of this nature and whites have proven themselves to be unable to do this.

Such a contemptible race is very justly heading towards extinction. It’s not easy for me to say this because I’m phenotypically white myself and thus I can’t easily avoid going down with the ship. The way things are going I’m not sure whether I should consider myself to be lucky or cursed to be relatively young. Best case scenario is this dying civilization can hold together for another 40 years and I can die knowing “apre moi, le deluge”.

Blacks see Asians as foreigners who have taken advantage of a system that discriminates against blacks. Asians, on the other hand, despise all non-Asians and would never vote for the GOP since they see whites as being too powerful in it. • If anything, Asians are the greatest admirers of white people (particularly high caste South Asians, but also East Asians).

      • Well the Asians I’ve been most friendly with were Japanese, and they love white people.

      • My observation is when an Asian goes SJW, they are much more effective and militant than the average NAM. Witness their storied battle energy in wars, their stereotypical focus, etc. There is some truth to that, and the energy carries over into their SJW lifestyle (which for Asians is probably often buoyed by an internal nationalism).

I think that a majority Asian population, in any territory (geographic, business, etc), is an incredibly dangerous prospect. As they become less vulnerable due to rising numbers, I would expect greater SJW conversion as a hostile social tactic. They are also more status conscious than the average white person, and being a legit SJW is the poor man’s status in this nation.

Two big protests only a month apart seems like a possible trend that we’ll be seeing more of. I’ve actually been expecting it and am surprised it took so long.

  15. At this point affirmative action has no effect on whites. It would mean less black and Hispanics and more Asians at top schools. There would be a trickle down effect of students who couldn’t into where they would have before. Some schools would get whiter. African immigrants and white Hispanics benefit the most from affirmative action. Chinese and Indians the least.

  16. One day in my 9th grade math class over fifty years ago (last period of the day), a guidance counselor came in and asked to see a handful of my classmates. When they returned they were excited to report that they had made Bronx Science, and (I’m embarrassed to say) I did not. But a few minutes later the guidance counselor came back and said she forgot me. To this day I wonder if that was done purposefully.

Back then, however, the stakes weren’t quite as high as one could still attend a neighborhood high school in the Bronx and compile a respectable enough record to attend a SUNY or CUNY college or other decent school elsewhere. I worked for bosses who went to Columbus and De Witt C and I can tell you both of them were a hell of a lot smarter than me.

Today the public alternatives in NYC are atrocious, which explains the utter hysteria among Asians to get into Bronx Science, Stuyvesant, and Brooklyn Tech. While I support their efforts to put the screws to DeBlasio (who richly deserves it), it would be nice if they also stood up for improvements to remaining high schools so that those who don’t get into the elite schools will still have a shot at MIT.

  17. This also shows the huge double standard taken towards White “over-representation” and Asian “over-representation”.

Imagine if Whites were 10% or so of some population but 70% of those in a “privileged” position, and then they stood up against discrimination against Whites when that 70% position were threatened by legislation? Whites would never have the confidence to say “we deserve this 70%, and more!” But Asians have no problem doing so, either psychologically or in terms of meeting with resistance from the mainstream gatekeepers. If Whites acted as the Asians are in this case, they would be attacked as White supremacists and their attempt to fight for their own interests would be ended on day one.

White over-representation always is the result of “White racism” and “institutional racism” that must be combated.

Asian over-representation is always because of “hard work”.

And Asians will not be reliable ‘conservatives” even if they change their voting patterns over this issue: they vote their own racial interests, not any principle.

  18. “it’s by definition not an equitable situation, unless you assume that some races are innately more intelligent or are more high achieving than others. which is not the case, there are no individual differences that are based in race as race is not a biological but a socially constructed category.”

People on the left these days piously profess to be “interactionists” when it comes to the nature vs. nurture debate. But that all goes out the window when it comes to evaluating public policy. Like dog to its vomit, they go back to their bad old habits.

  19. “When dumb kids are thrown in with smart, the instruction gets reduced to the level of the dumb kids, and the brains of the smart kids are allowed to go to waste.”

Plus the smart kids try to dumb themselves down to fit in with the culture brought in by the dumb kids, i.e. a smart kid trying to act like a “gangsta”/”thug” in order to fit in with the other dumb kids.

Put more technically, the dumb kids introduce different forms of status hierarchies compared to the ones that smart kids participate in, and if the smart kids want to fit in with those dumb kids they need to succeed in those dumb kids status hierarchies which are often inconstant with success in a smart kids, education-oriented, status hierarchy.

    • That is only because we have taught kids that the only reason that they are smart is because they are privileged to have been brought up in a family with the resources to educate and nourish them. How could you have any pride in that? If we taught kids that genes matter, and that their intelligence is part of a long legacy of great minds that built great civilizations, then they wouldn’t be trying to fit in with the dumb kids.

  21. It’s a bit reductionist of you to assert that Asians dominate these schools simply because of their supposed “high IQ.” I find that many of your analyses are superficial and reductionist, Lion.

Certain groups of Asians tend to dominate these types of schools because their cultures revolve around attaining educational credentials in order to attain income security and status. First generation Asians and their children come under tremendous pressure to study around the clock to ace these standardized tests and earn As. Asians often go to cram schools outside normal school hours to get ahead in school, even in the United States. Given this culture, it’s no surprise that they tend to make up the bulk of students at elite public schools where the school criterion for entry is a score on one standardized tests.

However, after acculturation to U.S norms, Asians don’t tend to do as well. Look at Japanese or Chinese Americans who have been here a few generations, they are not nearly as education obsessed as more recent arrivals and their offspring. It’s not a genetic thing, it’s about culture.

Personally I think it’s healthy when elite schools try to recruit a more well-rounded student body. Asian robots who spend 24/7 memorizing answers to tests and scheming ways to squeeze out more points to get an A, while ignoring everything else, will not make great future civic and business leaders, or social trend setters.

    • There is a morsel of truth to your culture argument, but by no means does it mostly account for their higher achievement.

As long as Asians don’t fall into a ghetto culture, which they largely don’t, IQ horsepower alone can and does carry them.

To wit, well performing White students don’t have an Asian style academic culture and do fine. Study habits help, but by no means will studying alone allow a lower IQ group to compete and gain proportionate entrance to elite science programs without a significant standards reduction.

There is no substitute for displacement (to use a car engine analogy). Third generation Japanese and Chinese do fine, on the whole.

“Recruiting a well rounded student body” via emphasizing race over demonstrated ability will always lead to a standards reduction unless the program is okay with having parts of its well rounded student body do much less well along a clear racial line.

My guess is that they will not want to show that, in part because of the predictable incoming agitation that would claim racism for such disparate performance, and thus standards will be dropped.

Lowering standards in order to be able to have the program’s bumper sticker or credit on your resume is a clear value of ghetto culture. Its a desire for all of the flash with none of the substance.

Do you know what happens when even legitimately smart proles get boosted into prep schools as early as middle school?

A lot of them don’t do very well because the foundation isn’t there due to their prior prole schooling.

Now factor in an actual IQ reduction, as we are speaking about in regard to the hypothetical affirmative action science program slots, and you have a formula for a radical reduction in program standards so that the program doesn’t illustrate a clear racial ability difference when the best of the NAM student body can’t come within a large margin of making the grade compared to the Asians in the program. I think that you don’t fully grasp how much IQ it takes to do well in a legitimate AP type science program. You aren’t doing the hypothetical affirmative action kids any favors by boosting them into a program that will rob them of all of their free time, eradicate their self confidence, and frankly embarrass them.

Rewarding slots in that program, based on affirmative action rationale, does nothing for our future civic health, business health, or our “social trends”.

Moreover, low achievers are quickly found out when they are boosted into higher level business / civic positions and further animosity is then created against the process that put them there. And institutions are destroyed in the process.

This is not healthy in any way. Its a flight of fancy in the minds of people who want an easier road and flash that they did not earn.

Last, what on earth does anyone sane want in terms of “social trends” from an affirmative action minority? You’ve got to be joking. Give me the Asian “robot” any day and twice on Sunday. He or she is likely highly intelligent, reserved, and has a good work ethic. Most importantly, in spite of your devaluation of him or her, they deserve to be there.

  22. On the one hand, I despise racial quotas and forcing talented and enthusiastic kids into classrooms with apathetic black kids. On the other hand, I’m convinced from my own experience of busing that nothing will guarantee lasting reasonable beliefs about race more than mixing the races together in school. Almost all of the hard core SJWs I know attended NAM deprived schools. The greatest concentration of realist Whites can be found in the South and South Africa.

  24. The racial demographics and their respective percentages for all the specialized public HS in NYC is this:

In 2018, 51.7 percent were Asian, 26.5 percent were White, 8.3 percent were “unknown,” 6.3 percent were Latino, 4.1 percent were black and 0.6 percent were Native American.

Certain voices have said White children are underrepresented, blacks and Latinos extremely underrepresented and Asians are wildly overrepresented.

In a nutshell regarding HBD and class in Meriprolestan, and why white liberal parasites win again and again:

Most Asians are strivers, proles are not, SWPLs dislike Asian strivers and form their own country clubs to keep them out, while Hispanics n blacks are unfitted for Western Civilization, yet they are made into profitable minions for their SWPL masters.
