The response

Peter P. Strzok II is a United States Federal Bureau of Investigation agent. Strzok was the Chief of the Counterespionage Section during the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email server. Strzok rose to become the Deputy Assistant Director of the Counterintelligence Division, which is the number two position in that division, and led the FBI’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections. (Wikipedia)

The clear implication is that Peter Strzok was leading the Russia investigation in order to “stop” Trump from becoming President.

The fakestream media will ignore this, and say that anyone paying attention is conspiracy-mongering. He means that we, the American people, will stop him in the voting booths, and not at we, the FBI, will stop him by framing him for colluding with Russia.

  1. Was just looking at Time magazine, a mainstream leftist publication. They seem to be taking this report seriously. Front page news, give you a summary of everything so they can get out in front and spin it. If it didn’t say anything damaging they’d have buried it. Interesting to see what else will come out.

    • I was initially confused by CNN’s coverage. They seemed to be treating it like it was obviously a big deal, taking the report seriously. I assumed it first that this meant they thought it was good for the Democrats. Perhaps it really is that they think it’s so clearly damaging for Democrats that they want to get out ahead of the story.

If the Strozk reply were really anodyne it never would have been held back for so long like it was.

  3. No one is going to jail, no one is getting arrested, this is all a waste of time. I read a joke online once and it went like this, A russian says to an american “we knew the communists were lying to us about communism but we had no idea they were telling us the truth about capitalism”. Let me update it “We knew the MSM was lying to us about Hillary but we had no idea they were telling us the truth about Trump”. Trump is just doing this to twist the deep state into giving him something. I will also apologize if Trump proves me wrong but I don’t think I have to worry about that. Last, I wish Americans would get over this delusion that they think they can vote their way out of this.

The don’t have to for Trump to score points with it.

If Comey’s FBI committed all sorts of malfeasance under his leadership then Mueller can’t credibly create an obstruction case around Trump firing an, at best, incompetent, at worst, corrupt and politically motivated, FBI Director.

The IG report also creates additional grounds for Trump to dismiss Mueller for having a conflict of interest via his friendship with Comey.

  6. The explanation of Comey double standard :
    1) He spoke about Clinton’s email because he thought she would win and it would give him an appearance of toughness and impartiality and secure his job.

    2) he didn’t spoke about Trump investigation because he wanted him to make a big faux-pas and in jail. Trump would have been the head given to Clinton.

Now, as the intent is clear and from multiple agents, Trump would only need a special counsel to gather the facts. He should have that, even if he needs to fire most senior FBI people

    • I would invite you back to reality but I fear you’re too far gone.

Comey’s explanation for the break in protocol regarding the Clinton investigation was that he would have fully informed the public (the announcement 11 days before the election probably cost her the presidency). If Clinton had won and fired him, he would’ve gotten to be martyr, and likely a darling of the political right. He didn’t speak about the Trump investigation because it was not already public knowledge (and McConnell had threatened Obama not to go public with it because it would look like the govt. was playing favorites). The government DID effectively play favorites, but their guy won, so they don’t care.

This IG report was supposed to somehow confirm all of your guys’ evidence-challenged conspiracy theories. It has not done so, and we’re left with an entirely predictable meltdown. And yes, FBI Agents have opinions about presidential candidates, just as posters on this forum have opinions. However, some people are professionals capable of separating personal opinions from their duties. I have a student who I think is a shit-head man-child; he was triggered by “misogynistic” language used in class and filed a formal complaint with the dean. He finished with an 89%. Now, I always round 89s up to an A… so that’s what I did. If I see him in public, I’ll be sure to call him a “cunt,” otherwise I don’t give a fuck.

      • “This IG report was supposed to somehow confirm all of your guys’ evidence-challenged conspiracy theories. It has not done so, and we’re left with an entirely predictable meltdown”

        Couple of questions:
        1) Have you thoroughly read the Report? Obviously not.
        2) Did you not realize that this particular Report would touch only peripherally on the areas that our “evidence-challenged conspiracy theories” were concerned with? Apparently not.
        3) Do you understand that there are a number of further Reports to come, and that at least one deals with the FISA warrants, likely a HUGE component of one of “the evidence based conspiracy theories” you referred to?
        4) Do you comprehend that there are a number of key documents due to Congress that are being withheld by the DOJ for entirely spurious reasons, and which undoubtedly lay bare compelling evidence of “the evidence based conspiracy theories” you referred to?
        5) What do you think that Prosecutor Huber is up to, if anything?
        6) If indeed these are merely “evidence-challenged conspiracy theories”, how is it that so many of the top people in the FBI and DOJ have been caught in the net, and are either awaiting their fate, or have been fired or resigned? All over our “evidence-challenged conspiracy theories”. What an extraordinary coincidence.

Sadly watching CNN, MSNBC et al is not conducive to getting a grasp on what’s happening out there in the real world.

      • No. The Comey cabal did not separate personal bias from professional ethics. Case in point was sitting on the Wiener laptops for most of October 2016. When Comey was finally pressured into going public, the intelligence powers made sure to leak the Trump investigation the next day. They did everything they could to protect the Queen, but screwed up anyway.

  7. Framing Trump and giving his head to Clinton and Bushes would have secured Comeys job and give him a place in elite hearts and portfolio.

  8. Obviously what needs to happen now is you hire a crack team of prosecutors to take as long as they need investigating Strzok and everyone he’s ever been associated with, including supervisors. If any of them can be charged with crimes, then you threaten to throw the book at them and see if they’ll roll over on Strzok or somebody higher up. Who knows, maybe Loretta Lynch or even Obama himself were in on a conspiracy against the Republican candidate for president. If not, the innocent have nothing to fear from this investigation, of course.

  9. While FBI Director, Comey took notes of a conversation with Trump, his boss and the elected head of a Republic and passed them on to someone certain to seek to undermine the President who did, in fact, leak. There is no explanation for such conduct aside from deliberate sabatoge. He should be given a traitor’s punishment.

  10. The clear implication is that Strzok wanted to stop Trump from being President because he knew the Russians were financing Geump’s campaign. Amazing how the cultists want to rewrite history. We all knew Trump was in Russia’s pocket back in the spring of 2016. Some conservatives were fine with that and some weren’t. Since Lion has always been I the Putin is better than Hilary or Obama camp, I don’t know why he feels the need to defend Trump’s relationship to Russia, embrace it.

    • The clear implication is that Strzok believed in the primacy of the Administrative State over the mechanisms of Republican government. And thus, his preferences were entitled weight in the outcome. Same belief as Leonard Felt and J. Edgar Hoover, both of the FBI and both of whom believed their opinions should carry weight in the political trajectory of the country and not simply as voters. Unless you’ve worked closely with administrative state types it is hard to describe their beliefs. The default position, far too often, is that they decide and only higher ups in the Administrative structure, not necessarily including the political actors, can reverse their preferences. They view themselves as the owners of the country and at best elections are held to ratify their preferences or moderate them only slightly. Trump, as a reactionary, is their moral enemy. He clearly care’s little for their group think. Thus the hatred and the moral right, in their minds, to resist.

Part of their beliefs grow out of the reality that you really cannot manage effectively as both a Republic and a large centralized Administrative State. Jefferson understood this thus the creation of an effectively federalized state under the original (pre-Lincoln) constitution. Unfortunately for us, the centralization is good for monopolists. Thus Lincoln doing their bidding and thus the Civil War.

You win a week on the fabulous North Korean Riviera!. Unfortunately, the condos are as yet unfinished, but there’s a lovely “camp” that will put you up. Highlights of the trip: working in the fields from dawn til dusk, knee-deep in human faeces.

  11. These were private emails exchanged between lovers. FBI agents are human beings and US citizens. They are allowed to have opinions on politicians too. They should not have been using FBI phones to express those opinions to each other though.

As best I can figure out Strzok hated both Hillary and Trump.

The FBI kept the Trump investigation secret until after the election. The FBI leaked information about the Clinton investigation and violated procedures to publicly attack Clinton without justification. According to the IG report, everything the FBI did that was wrong, hurt Clint and helped Trump.

  14. For the Democrat shills posting here look what I found: Texts from the future between 2 high ranking agents in Trump’s FBI. They were put in charge of a phony investigation of the Democrat presidential candidate, Kamala Harris:

Agent 1: I hate her guts, Harris can’t become POTUS.
Agent 2: Don’t worry, we’ll stop here. No matter what it takes.
Agent 1: But what if the unthinkable happens and she still makes it into the White House?
Agent 2: We’ll find a way to impeach her.
Agent 1: I feel better now.

    • Back when Clinton’s term was ending I knew a fellow who worked for state House Republicans who believed that Clinton wouldn’t allow a transition of power and that he and Hillary would be taking control of the government by force or otherwise. This was 2000 and everyone, especially Republicans, thought he was a nut and he was eventually let go. Probably a circumstance, but odd how surprisingly prescient such views seem now.
