Omarosa, take 3

This is the third time she has been mentioned in the blog.

In 2004 I wrote: “If you recall The Apprentice, one of Omarosa’s great failings is that she was often more interested in eating a leisurely meal than working.”

In December, 2017 I wrote: “I vaguely remember watching the first season of the Apprentice. Omarosa was the woman who everyone else hated, and she was fired midway through the season because of her poor ability to get along with her team members.”

Now, of course, we know that her back-stabbing book is coming out next week. Is anyone surprised that she would backstab the man who made her famous in the first place?

  1. This reflects badly on Trump.

Not for whatever nonsense she wrote, but for the fact that he hired her in the first place.
So much for hiring the best people..

What kind of judge of character is he?

If he doesn’t have the social sense to read this grifter, how confident can we be when he’s meeting with Pelosi, Ryan & McConnell much less Merkel, Putin or Kim Jong Un?

    • The Octomom would have been a believable Trump hire for some position of minor authority.

    • He didn’t hire her to be Secretary of Defense. It was a meaningless, make work position (did he even hire anyone to replace her position when she left?). I think Trump hired her knowing she’d probably blow up, but didn’t care. He figured she’d be interesting for the White House for the same reason she was interesting on the show. And since she is a villain character (Piers Morgan summed her up as a pointless, irrelevant, ghastly creature) her turning on him doesn’t really reflect badly on Trump.

  2. Trump’s fans keep telling me that he’s an organizational genius. So why did he put this talentless and predictably disloyal nonentity on the White House staff? Something does not compute.

    • The pool of applicants for the “token black women” hire was presumably very small. Although he (or John Kelly) did find one to replace her.

  3. OT, but help, I need a gift idea. For an 18-year old woman who’s starting college in the Fall. She’s a dancer/gymnast type, doesn’t drink coffee.

    • You didn’t say how much you wanted to spend or whether she was living in the dorms. But it’s nice to be able to make something in your room. One can make just about anything with an instapot. Of course, she’d need a mini fridge to store ingredients and leftovers. Or you could give her a gift card / cash and let her buy something for herself.

When my niece graduated high school and started university I bought her a nice watch.

  4. Trump gave her so many opportunities, why would she do this? And it seems incredibly short sighted to double-cross the most powerful man on the planet, and especially one who’s known to have a vindictive streak.

    • She never belonged in the WH and doesn’t have the brains or experience to leverage her time there into another lucrative position. So that quick seven figure payoff is probably the best she could have gotten financially. Still, whether they deserve it or not, badmouthing one’s former boss and coworkers is a disgusting thing to do.

Dick Morris has betrayed the Clinton’s so many times that I can’t even count them all, yet I bet that Bill still takes his phone calls.

They like to talk about foot fetishes, cigar fetishes, and other points of common interest. Bill can relate to a dude like that.

      • Dick Morris didn’t try to capitalize on his time in the WH by dishing the goss while Bill was still prez. He waited until afterwards to say anything. And he never really said anything bad about Bill.

    • he doesnt have social capital, swpls hate trump and omarosa wants to be liked by swpls. hope hicks has been ostracized from her former social circle for having been associated with “cheetoh hitler” so omaraso is just trying to preserve he social status, like she already got some money out of the trump thing, so now she has to make herself look good by double crossing him.

  5. Remember how Kwame picked her for his team in the season finale, and she totally screwed him.

    • I preferred the Celebrity season where Piers Morgan spent the entire series abusing her. One of the best moments though, is when the fat Guido from The Sopranos who played “Big Pussy” resigns because he can’t take the arguing and backstabbing. Ivanka instantly loses all respect for him and looks at him likes some kind of worm. Then in trying to justify himself Big Pussy rhetorically asks Trump, “Do you wake up every morning of your life and get in a fight”, to which Trump immediately responds “Yes. Every day. My entire life is one big fight.” and that is why I don’t think there is anybody else on the planet qualified to be President.

  6. This whole fight/book deal thing is staged, Lion. It’s the same thing he did with outgoing Steve Bannon and Michael Wolff. Trump hires may be incompetent but they’re always loyal— it’s a huge farce.
