The Red Pill subreddit has been “quarantined”

https://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill

The incel subreddit was banned last year, looks like this is the first step here. The Trump administration needs to do something about tech companies violating people’s free speech rights.

It finally happened. We’ve been quarantined. It’s a matter of time before we’re entirely removed.

The mods will discuss our next move and report back.

In the mean time, make sure you visit Stony Brook University to find out what real positive masculinity is.

That’s right. The people telling men they shouldn’t be heard or seen are telling us they know what real masculinity is.

You couldn’t prove TRP any more right than the admin are right now.

I don’t expect to be here much longer. Make sure you register on https://www.trp.red today.

It happened as we approached 300,000 subscribers. Guess what quarantined subs can’t see? Their subscriber count.

THEY ARE SCARED OF US.

  1. The admins are all passive-aggressive soyboys who can’t stand the sunlight when they escape Plato’s metaphorical cave and run back to the comforting darkness they were used to.

Though I’m pretty nerdy in real life, I know the red pill truths from growing up prole and strive towards them. At least they don’t “trigger” me. Most nerds brought up in upper middle class suburbs are shielded from the real world and are taught to be politically and culturally correct with no physical/psychological challenges.

Thus, they are brought up on how to be socially correct while having no sense of honor. It’s why the soyboys easily turn on each other, especially with the #MeToo movement. From my experience, UMC nerds are bigger assholes than jocks. Jocks at least have a sense of honor for the most part, something nerds/geeks don’t.

    • The far left thinks spez (reddit’s owner) is a Nazi because he allows so many right wing subs to exist.

The average tech nerd overlord is probably a liberal, but not SJW. They’re just very scared of them and cave immediately to their complaints.

      • spez is a libertarian. He cares about making money and the free market.

This is why he will ban some “alt-right” subs but not others. He’ll ban the unprofitable ones to appease reddits centrist and leftist users, but let others exist if they give him significant cashflow.

I agree with spez on this one. He can do whatever the fuck he wants. If others don’t like it, they can start their own website.

      • “I agree with spez on this one. He can do whatever the fuck he wants. If others don’t like it, they can start their own website.”

A boomer conservative explained to me the other day that conservatives need to start their own Google. I pointed out that Google is a huge monopoly with a market cap of something like half a trillion dollars (a just checked; it is closer to a trillion).

He didn’t see what the trouble was.

In any case, my view is that Conservatism is so 2016 and the free speech fight is so 2017.

The wave of the future is, “Holy crap everything is declining in civilization and nobody knows why.”

Democrats are complete and utter morons because they think the enemy is Trump and Conservatives with their meanness. Well reality and Mother Nature are 100 times meaner and Mother Nature never cucks out. Trying to keep the coming demographic winter (in which the productive and advanced people of the world have population collapse, pulling down global economies from Seoul to Cologne) from breaking the back of civilization will be one hell of a project.

And also, good luck trying to save civilization after knocking down all of its supports. The demographic winter has been building for 60 years it is still accelerating, not stabilizing. It is as though we are breaking windows and knocking down walls of the house *ahead* of a blizzard. Kind of like how people who are freezing to death tend to take off all their clothes.

Free speech is a moot point now. Not only is the crash with the iceberg now unavoidable: the speed of the ship is still increasing!

Civilizational decline is the reddest red pill, and it will be clear for all to see soon enough. Good luck censoring that!

        Enjoy the ride, kids!

  2. Great comment by a Reddit user here:

    Exactly.

And you can’t actually have this real conversation about the limits on actual free speech online. It’s impossible. Not because you can’t start talking about it…

But because when you do Americans can’t stop making it a conversation predicated on the first amendment, and telling you “but corporations are allowed to do what they like stopping people speaking freely, because they’re not the government. So they can just go ahead, it’s legal and right that they close of whatever speech they want to close off, and remove it from the public commons”.

Witness this thread. This has already been said a dozen times by a dozen posters, at a bare minimum.

There isn’t a free speech debate you can have in a space dominated by Americans that can in any way deal with any threat to free speech that doesn’t come from the government. To them that doesn’t exist as a problem, even whilst they watch speech being banned and restricted in all sort of places they personally use to speak.

It’s bonkers. “Oh, we’ve got perfect free speech. The govt. doesn’t interfere. It’s just that everywhere I personally speak it’s restricted completely by private companies 99% of the time to only things they want to allow to be said”.

Private companies that are allowed to make money off of becoming the venue of the common public conversation should be legally expected to protect free speech within it.

Not, perhaps, to the absolute level of the 1st amendment for governments. It could not go that far. But private entities should not be given free reign, to subvert the common conversation by censorship because they can make more money from a censored public conversation than they can from an open one.

So much of our public space and conversation is now mediated by private corporations and entities that if free speech is not protected there …. then we don’t have any free speech worth having.

Companies that offer fora for public discussion that form part of the common public square should be treated with special rules and protections…. much as we do Journalism (or used to do for Journalism in the US). They have additional responsibilities, and should legally be treated that way.

    • This crack-down stuff is happening because Twitter, Youtube, Reddit, et al. are cash furnaces. Facebook makes money but I think there are big questions about how they’ll really do in the next recession. When advertising budgets tank you might be surprised which “successful” web properties suddenly disappear.

These companies are desperately trying to steer the discourse to the bland apolitical stuff not so much because there’s a leftist conspiracy but because they need to figure out a way to survive and appeal to advertisers. Which I don’t think they will.

People are confusing the current dominance of these web properties for some sort of permanence. Most of them are going to be gone in less than ten years. Because they don’t actually make money. The whole “social media” scene is going to shift to billed subscription and P2P technologies because that’s the only model that works. The advertising supported free model was a temporary thing. Everybody uses these services because they’re free and convenient, but that business model doesn’t actually work. It’s just shaking out now.

      • > that business model doesn’t actually work. It’s just shaking out now.

To elaborate a bit, ten years ago everybody thought if you knew a great deal about people from web surveillance (friends, education, job, age) you could produce targeted and super effective ads. That was the whole business idea behind the current social media landscape.

It turns out that idea doesn’t work at all and most people are highly predictable and fall into very obvious stereotypes. The fancy pants internet tracking and algorithms don’t do any better than a Steve Sailer or BlogoLion telling you the obvious, which you could have figured out by driving around the country and going on long walks.

Facebook loses money on the website and only makes money because people use the phone app with geotracking enabled. The precise location targeted ads are why facebook exists. This is all detailed in @antoniogm book. He spent two years picking apart all the user web tracking data trying to turn it into money and it basically doesn’t work. This is a sustainable business model? At some point people are going to figure out how to turn off the precise location tracking, because that’s creepy. The current state of affairs is a temporary thing enabled by Apple and Google dominating the phone market. The “we’re not creepers” phone will become a thing.

Youtube loses money. Google search is a geyser of cash that keeps the rest of their mostly pointless activities (including gmail) afloat. To the extent that google screws around with search results, I guess that’s a problem. But it’s really naive to pretend they’re a monopoly. Bing and other services are pretty good now. Try Yandex. I use a throwaway Yandex email all the time now. The search monopoly concern is baseless and as google gets more annoying they will simply lose market share.

      • It should be illegal for companies to use surveillance on their customers. That solves a significant fraction of the problem of websites whose business model revolves around treating actual users/content-producers like shit and being honeypots for personal data.

      • I was an engineer in ads at Facebook (shortly after the time of Chaos Monkeys) and now work at a similar company in SF. I am a world expert in exactly how ads prediction models work, what data they use, and how to build them, and am the author of about a dozen patents in this space. You are wrong. Also, the chaos monkeys book championed real time bidding ads, which outsource predictive models to each advertiser. That product was killed so that facebook could own all of its own predictive models through targeting and conversion products. They were successful.

  3. Is it strange that what I find to be most offensive is that anonymous admins would then utilize The Red Pill’s traffic to promote the “positive masculinity” propaganda that they approve of?

That seems well over the line to me, and seems to be hard evidence of the sociopolitical pathology involved in this.

Whereas, without that, they might be able to claim some mode of objective / non-partisan rules application and a lack of any evidence to the contrary.

    Jon

September 29, 2018 at EDT pm

    • The left decided years ago that being objective and non-partisan didn’t mean treating “both sides equally.” It started with global warming, but has spilled over into every subject that liberals care about.

  4. Speaking of reddit, a strange person (not me) has copied dozens of your entries. He appears to be german and posts so prolifically perhaps he’s a bot.

There is so much filth and depravity on reddit, barely legal girls posting nasty pictures of themselves and it goes downhill from there. But all that is up to code.

I enjoyed occasionally reading TRP sub for the sad stories of men flummoxed when a woman wants nothing to do with him after he intentionally treats her poorly on their first date.

  7. I have to wonder what effect this Ford vs. Kavanaugh scandal will have on today’s teenagers Why would any boy in his right mind now go to a party where girls will be present? How does he know that in 20 years he won’t be accused of rape? And teenage girls are learning that accusation of sexual assault now make women famous and wealthy (Does anyone deny that Blasey Ford will soon write a book and make a fortune giving speeches?)

    maryk (the g-loaded guidette)

September 29, 2018 at EDT pm

    • That’s not really a defense — even if you never went to any parties at all, if you just lived in the same city as the person they could make something up.

I imagine that in the future, more and more people will start recording their lives. It’s becoming cheaper and cheaper to do so.

    • They will go to the party because they want sex. And teenage girls are 10X more slutty today than in Kav’s era so if they are far more likely to get it.

    • If you basically behave yourself and avoid obviously unstable people, your odds of being falsely accused of rape are still a far-tail event. This is like parents homeschooling their children because they’re afraid of suburban school shootings. You should probably be more afraid of being struck by lightning while waiting for the school bus.

  8. Quarantined? So that means there are no links? Someone recommended a podcast to me called The Daily Shoah, which is a white nationalist program (that features “The Merchant Minute). I went to check it out on Youtube and it didn’t have the usual 18+ advisory warning. Instead it said something about community standards, and therefore comments would not be allowed. Also, the right hand side of the page, which normally has similarly themed recommended videos, went completely dark.

  9. OT, but OnT. Twitter suspended HBD Chick’s account. Unbelievable. These low T tech nerds really do want to banish pro family, male, personal responsibility, pro neighborhood, alt web, real science, Anglo, biologically natural sex roles, Midwestern values, diversity skepticism, and reasonable thought. The inner party is scared.

    White Hills

September 29, 2018 at EDT pm

    • Well yeah, the issue is one of common knowledge. Most people know that HBD is true, but they don’t know that other people know that other people know it.

The classic story of private knowledge versus common knowledge is the emporer’s new clothes. Everyone knows that the emporer is naked but they don’t know that everyone know that everyone knows it. What’s necessary to change the situation is for enough people to start making the observation in front of everyone else. (In reality one child would not be enough.)

HBD web sites and such are a way of turning private knowledge into common knowledge. That’s why YouTube and such do things like concealing the number of subscribers or views. People generally won’t act socially on a piece of knowledge unless it is common knowledge.

  11. Dan, I don’t think the real thinkers behind today’s suicidal leftist movement care if the end result is societal collapse worldwide. It’s only leftists who don’t really “get it” that are alarmed by the way society is collapsing.

    CamelCaseRob

September 30, 2018 at EDT pm

    • Leftists believe that society is collapsing because there’s too much racism, and because Republicans aren’t spending enough money on social programs.

      Lion of the Blogosphere

September 30, 2018 at EDT pm

      • I’ve always found that a special type of delusion since for all of civilization we’ve had more racism than we do now, but arguably more civilization

(if civilization is to be measured by the broad presence / commonality of civilized behavior).

I suppose that for their spin to work for them without creating cognitive dissonance, the progressive Whites need to convince themselves that society is at its peak behavioral standard now and before was a barbaric mess for the average person.

I suppose they see the animalistic ghettos as better than what NAMs had before. NAMs may generally view their much improved proximity to Whites as better than anything that they had before and thus worth the cost to their hosts.

What this comes down to is a relationship where White society is continuously bled and weakened to strengthen the parasite. Liberalism-progressivism seems to be the injected natural anesthetic for that process.

In concert with this analogy, this would mean that White liberal belief (Whites under anesthesia) is of sole importance. The politics of all minorities would matter very little in contrast, except that they show up past a certain threshold to vote in their interests for the Leftist candidate who will perpetuate the parasitism and anesthesia.

Every other day of the year, minorities could be the equivalent of Far Right Nazis for their race. It wouldn’t matter in the least for the primary project of continued parasitism. Thus, such minority politics are rarely criticized where they exist.

However, watch / predict for what will happen if / when White support for liberalism begins to wane at a consistent pace that in the future could predict a near zero support level. Rising public threats to Whites, solely due to skin color, could be one theoretical catalyst of likely many that would likely begin to manifest mostly at once.

A White group who overwhelmingly does not want to be ruled by minorities, who in turn can not and will not let the White population become independent, would be a major problem for the minority parasite groups.

In sum, minority Nazis will likely have the right to exist for the foreseeable future. Whites who simply give up liberalism will not.
