Lauren Sanchez

https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/jeff-bezos-reported-new-girlfriend-lauren-sanchez-long-list-hollywood-credits

Some have theorized that Bezos didn’t go for a younger woman because of commonality of interests. What would Bezos have in common with a woman young enough to be his daughter?

I actually don’t buy it. Sanchez strikes me as an aging gold-digger who’s all wrong for Bezos. The right woman for Bezos would have an MBA from an elite university or something like that. Nope, I think that Bezos was attracted to Sanchez because, even though 49, she reminded him of the hot slutty girls who wouldn’t have given him the time of day when he was in high school.

How Bezos wound up with her is that he doesn’t move in the right social circles to meet younger women, either younger gold-diggers or younger women from Ivy League colleges. And he probably doesn’t even have any “game.” Sanchez probably came onto him first (using three decades of acquired man-hunting skills), all he had to do was acquiesce to it.

It’s how Clinton wound up with Monica Lewinsky. In the White House, behind a wall of Secret Service agents there were very few eligible women that he came in contact with. Monica was who was available. Although, unlike I imagine happened with Bezos and Sanchez, I’m sure it was Clinton who put the moves on Monica. Unlike Bezos, Clinton was a huge hound dog in his prime.

  1. Wapo’s been digging into every nook and cranny of Trump’s personal life for years and it will now be nice to see slimy geek Bezos get a dose of his own medication. Though I suspect the shitty press will not be exposing too many of the lurid details, because Bezos is one of them.

  2. Actually I recall reading that Bill Clinton would go for a jog every morning and there would be a group of young women (dressed more for clubbing than for running) waiting to accompany him.

Anyway like I mentioned in the other thread, it seems likely that Bezos has one or more private mistresses on the side to satisfy any urge to bang young hotties.

January 10, 2019 at EDT pm

    • That would explain why some of these men marry/are in LTRs with older women, but not why they would have an affair with one. ALL mistresses are private. That’s the purpose of having a mistress. Bezos was exposed, and was trying to keep this hidden. The National Enquirer article Lion posted says that they’ve been “having secret rendezvous at palatial private estates,” that they “tailed them in private jets, swanky limos, helicopter rides, romantic hikes, five-star hotel hideaways, intimate dinner dates and ‘quality time’ in hidden love nests,” and that they “enjoyed a secret tryst.” Not that they were spotted dining together at restaurants around LA and she accompanied him to a red carpet gala.

Sure, if you’re going to get married, make it an age-appropriate woman so you have some common interests and your professional colleagues don’t think you’re a creep and a weirdo. But what’s the point of having an affair with a 49 year old woman?

      • All mistresses are private, but some are more private than others. It seems that this relationship was not private in the sense of “only behind closed doors.”

  3. Lots of rich guys have 0 game. A lot of them thought getting rich would get them the girls. Don’t get me wrong, rich guy game can work but broke musicians get hotter women. Also, she’s old but she is hotter than his soon to be Ex-wife. As long as he doesn’t do something stupid and wife up this broad, he’ll be amazed at the upgrades he can get.

    • Yes, this Sanchez is a transparent gold-digger with a history. Really stupid to blow his marriage and family and this kind of broad. So stupid, it makes Lion’s speculations feasible. But it is possible that Bezos is seeing other women, too.

  5. This is all very stupid speculation. You don’t even know if he’s only been with this woman (maybe there were others, and younger), what his private life is like or if he’s holding onto any idea of who may or may not have spurned him in high school. This is pure lion fantasy.

I just watched part of an interview with him to gauge his creepiness factor. He comes across as highly intelligent and confident and not creepy at all. The bald head and big ears are a little blinding but not ugly.

Mark Zuckerberg comes across as MUCH creepier and unappealing, by contrast.

  7. Bezos comes from an upper-middle class background and grew up in flyover country. Yes, he went to Princeton, but he knows girls from the demographic you’re talking about wouldn’t recognize the existence of a guy who used to work at McDonalds if he wasn’t a billionaire. Your NYC background is blinding you to the contempt guys like him have for old money (which probably intensified earlier in his career). You’re probably right about why he’s attracted to Sanchez; that doesn’t make her the wrong girl.

    • According to Wiki, his mother was only 17 when he was born. The father owned a bike store. They did not stay together. His mom remarried a Hispanic who adopted him, hence his surname. That info alone doesn’t sound very promising.

But apparently he did well in school, valedictorian, went to Princeton I think.

Weird that the mom was so young. I better go back and check it. Yep, checked. Stepdad Bezos was a Cuban immigrant.

      Frau Katze

January 11, 2019 at EDT pm

      • Many Cuban immigrants who fled communism where very high quality people. Jeff Bezo’s adoptive father had a successful career as an engineer in the oil industry. He probably imparted some good values to his adoptive son.

The story is somewhat similar to that of Gerald Ford, who was also renamed as a young child, for the sake of his mother’s new husband. Ford Jr. was actually renamed after his new father.

      • According to his wiki, from the time he was four years old, has “dad” was an engineer for Exxon, and he grew up in the River Oaks area of Houston (median home sale price about 2.4 million), then Pinecrest, FL (median home sale price about 1 million). I suspect both areas are known for outstanding public schools. Also, mom was the daughter of the regional director of the Atomic Energy Commission, not some homeless teenage hooker. Believe it or not, upper middle class high school girls sometimes get careless, then pregnant, and try to make a go of it with their boyfriend. When that doesn’t work out, they marry someone more to their parents’ liking and return to the socioeconomic category they’re comfortable with.

      • @TWBC Yes, further reading suggests that the mother came from a well-to-do background. And that Dad Bezos was successful in his own field.

The biological father was either ejected or left on his own and had no further contact whatsoever with his son.

The next time he heard about the kid, it was a man writing a biography of Jeff Bezos. The father stunned at this turn of events, but died at aged 70 without any further contact (this latter from the New York Post).

      • One of my best friends from HS went through that scenario. Fortunately (or not, depending on your viewpoint) dad was a SVP able to get the boyfriend a sales job he wouldn’t otherwise have been considered for without college, and the boyfriend wound up being reasonably successful. My guess is the AEC is a little too selective for that to work, alas. The real dad didn’t know Bezos was his kid? Wow. And sad.

“When Stephen King was two years old, his father left the family under the pretense of “going to buy a pack of cigarettes,” leaving his mother to raise Stephen and his older brother, David, by herself, sometimes under great financial strain.”

He never saw or heard from his father again.

  9. Customer obsession is Amazon’s foremost leadership principle. Perhaps Bezos feels that by going for a much younger gal, like Jack Dorsey’s much hotter girlfriend Raven Corneil, he would jeopardize his and his company’s reputation with the regular women who dominate consumer spending.

    • Disagree, this is a PR disaster for Bezos. Too many sordid details making the media, such as the dick pics and now questionable claims this was not an extra-marital affair. Until now Bezos kept a very clean profile.

He is fulfilling women’s worst nightmare, the husband been tempted away by a scarlet woman. Four teenage kids just to add fuel to the fire. Look what happened to Australian newsreader Karl Stefanovic, and at least he traded in for an attractive breeding age blond.

By contrast, eBay has some weird bug where you can’t change certain aspects of your account. Start a new account was the solution on offer. I said, forget it, I’ll buy from Amazon. Haven’t used eBay since. Very unprofessional.

The Men’s Rights movement is an interesting cause and they raise a lot of valid points. I agree though that there are people within it who simply have flipped out and hate all women. Both men and woman are to blame for the mess that male-female relations are in today.

Look, I lived through the hippy era. They were a small minority, but they succeeded in their goal to dominate universities, the media, Hollywood. I was never even remotely a hippy.

How can anyone be so stupid as to launch into a savage diatribe based merely on soneone’s age?

They’re definitely stupider than your average Lion reader.

I don’t so much watch Youtube as play it in the background while I’m doing something else ($10/month for the ability for the iPad app to play in the background plus no ads).

I have to play something in the background all the time because I have tinnitus, an extremely irritating condition with no treatment but playing some other noise in the background.

I also play music and sound effects like wind and rain.
