A woman says that the black lieutenant governor of Virginia raped her

And unlike the accusations against Kavanaugh, in this case there’s a friend who says that the alleged rape victim told her about it the day after it happened.

A college friend of Ms. Watson’s, Kaneedreck Adams, said in an interview Friday that Ms. Watson told her she was raped the day after she said it happened, and named Mr. Fairfax as her assailant.

Ms. Adams said that she went to visit Ms. Watson at her apartment and that “she was upset, she was kind of crying quietly and she said that she had been raped” by Mr. Fairfax.

  3. “she was upset, she was kind of crying quietly and she said that she had been raped”

Doesn’t this seem like odd behavior for a woman who had been assaulted only one day ago?…..Crying quietly?

    • “Doesn’t this seem like odd behavior for a woman …”

      Not to me.

    • What’s odd about it? Are you suggesting that after only a day she should still be crying loudly?

24 hours of loud, wailing, Arab-woman-at-a-funeral crying would be pretty exhausting. I’m not sure there’s a right or a wrong way to behave when it comes to grief in this situation. For some it probably wouldn’t even be natural to cry at all.

Not for an Italian woman it wouldn’t! But actually, you have a point. People do grieve in different ways. And yes, continuous wailing is physically exhausting (as is listening to it.) I guess it just struck me that if she was at the point where she was no longer wailing, she’d be able to control the crying in front of others. But I may be wrong about this also.

  9. I read the article fast so I might have missed something, but who is the woman on the left in the Times photo? She’s unidentified in the photo caption. Does she have anything to do with the contents of the article? What’s with her strange posture: right arm dramatically stretched, head tilted back. She looks a bit like the head Kavanaugh accuser, whatshername Ford, from the side. If she does have nothing to do with the developing scandal, why choose this photo, where she’s so prominently featured, even over Fairfax? Is it a subliminal thing, dragging white women into a matter that doesn’t immediately involve them?

  10. Well, she probably was.

Here’s how the Virginia governor should handle this. Just go to work. Someone told me they do not have an impeachment clause in Virginia. If he just does to work, what’s the worst that can happen?

OT, please Lion, do not drag your sterling rep into the mud by laughing at Jeff Bezos. What’s happening to him is simply wrong.

    February 9, 2019 at 2:17 PM

    • I reserve judgment on the Bezos story, we don’t have the full story yet.

      • We need to have some standards.

        February 10, 2019 at 12:12 PM

      • I don’t know the details of what the Enquirer is doing. Maybe it’s not legal. But isn’t it natural and acceptable for a tabloid paper to go after the richest man in the world?

If I were the richest man in the world, I would be insulted if the Enquirer weren’t trying to get my dicks pics, or whatever other secrets I might have.

        February 10, 2019 at 1:09 PM

      • Like I’ve said before – Bezoz is a pathetic beta. The paper should have been scared to touch him. At the very least he should have bought the whole thing and controlled it.

        February 10, 2019 at 1:59 PM

      • “I don’t know the details of what the Enquirer is doing. Maybe it’s not legal. But isn’t it natural and acceptable for a tabloid paper to go after the richest man in the world?”

Read what you wrote. Yes it is natural for a tabloid to go after the richest man in the world. But if it’s not legal then we shouldn’t be looking at it.

This is different from John Edwards, who was running for President based on his perfect, wonderful relationship with his brilliant lawyer-wife, while fucking a bimbo on the side.

    • What’s with this idea that adultery is something people should be entitled to do in privacy? The man whines about his privacy being invaded while he gets rich invading the privacy of others.

      February 9, 2019 at 7:11 PM

    • Apparently, Jeff Bezos also exchanged nude pictures with RBG. This is what a guy standing in line at Dollar Tree told me.

      • LOL!

        February 10, 2019 at 12:52 PM

    • No. What’s happening to him is simply hilarious.

Bezos bought WaPo and spent years using it to savage Trump with Russia conspiracy theories and salacious details of his romps with porn actresses. More recently he used it to savage Kavanaugh with bogus rape allegations. All the while, he’s banging another guy’s wife and sending her pics of his junk. He’s no innocent bystander. He brought this on himself. He was the world’s richest man. So he thought he was entitled to do whatever he wanted. But his hubris finally caught up to him. Do you know who leaked this stuff? Probably either his wife or the husband of the woman he was running around with. And I wouldn’t blame either of them.

I looked up the background on the woman he was running around with. She’s a gold-digging social climber who had a bastard by a football player. Her husband should have known better than to get involved with someone like her. It was only a matter of time before he caught her running around. And I’ll bet Bezos wasn’t the first one, either. She’s just a greasier version of Wendy Deng. And Bezos will learn the hard way just like Murdoch did. I have absolutely no sympathy for either Bezos or her. My only sympathy is for the spouses who were cheated on and the children.

      February 10, 2019 at 1:59 PM

      • Nope.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

But thanks for letting the gals off the hook!

        February 10, 2019 at 3:32 PM

      • The opposition has long since crossed the line. I have no intention of “playing nice” when the other side won’t. But politics aside, I have no problem with shaming adulterers. The pictures were part of his adultery. It would be different if someone secretly set up a camera in his bathroom or something. But that’s not what happened. Bezos sent pics of his junk to some married woman he was cheating with. If he wanted privacy then maybe he shouldn’t have done that.

Also, I’m not “letting the gals off the hook”. But those women were irrelevant other than who they spread their legs for. For example, when Schwarzenegger banged his maid the story was Arnie not the maid.

      • MEH 0910 — The Daily Beast’s anonymous “sources” have no credibility. It could be legit. It could be a deliberate misdirection from AMI. Or it be a complete fabrication from The Daily Beast. Regardless, would it change your opinion on the matter? Because it certainly wouldn’t change mine.

        February 11, 2019 at 9:58 AM

      • I’ve never understood why people take naked pictures of themselves or let others take such pictures of them. That being said so many people are doing it, including stupid young people, there probably should be stringent legal protections and repercussions. And revenge porn by either gender should be a jail time offense. It was mind bogglingly stupid of bezos to take these pics and in that respect is quite hilarious. Just goes to show how irrational sexual behavior is.

        February 11, 2019 at 10:21 AM

      • well, if Bezos’ girlfriend’s brother released the pictures that means Bezos must have done something to piss off the girlfriend.

Does anyone remember the black quarterback who got killed by his girlfriend, I think it was Warren Moon? You can piss off your wife, but don’t piss off your girlfriend.

      February 10, 2019 at 11:03 PM

      • Ha. I thought it was the woman in the picture.

        February 11, 2019 at 7:35 AM

      • If a black man is going to rape, it’s smart to target black women. It’s a known phenomenon that they are much less inclined to go to the cops. Don’t want to see another black man in prison.

Didn’t save this guy. But makes me more inclined to believe the allegations against him. Also makes me inclined to think he did a lot more raping, and some victims might never come forward.
