According to pundits, despite Joe Biden’s gaffe at the end confusing a website URL with his texting number, he did better than in the first debate even though not great. That’s probably good enough for him to stay in the lead.

Epstein and eugenics

But does he believe in HBD? If he had ever said anything “racist,” I’m sure the NY Times would have gone all out to highlight that.

First end-of-July debate night

with 44 comments

I did not watch, but they say Warren “won.”

I’m in favor of Medicare-for-all because Obamacare sucks, and not having anything sucks, but “decriminalizing” crossing the border, how is that different than open borders? Hundreds of millions can cross the decriminalized border and get free healthcare? Who will pay for that? Where will those hundreds of millions live? What happens when there are no jobs for hundreds of millions of unskilled non-English-speaking people? There’s only so much seasonal farm work.

Are French people Latino?

with 70 comments

If Latino means you speak a language derived from Latin, then doesn’t that include the French?

* * *

I think I found the answer. In the U.S., Latino is actually short for latinoamericano, that is people from the Americas who speak a language derived from Latin, regardless of their racial origin.

So that means the whitest blondest person from Sweden should be classified as Latino if he or she grew up in Mexico speaking Spanish. Or a Japanese person in the same situation. (Cameron Diaz fits into this category. She’s pretty darn white, but also Latino, or maybe half Latino. Do people stop being Latino when they stop speaking Spanish? Will Cameron Diaz’s very white descendants be Hispanic in perpetuity because of one Cuban ancestor who in turn was descended entirely from white Europeans?)

So the next question is this: Can someone be Latino and still have white privilege?

Is D&D crushingly boring?

with 24 comments

Commenter “RTP IT Guy” writes:

I played one or two sessions of D&D but found it to be crushingly boring.

The reason why I’m writing these D&D posts is because I happened to come across the article about last Saturday being Gary Gygax day, and it brought back nostalgic memories of how I enjoyed playing it as a kid. I was probably 12 years old when I was introduced to the game, and I don’t think I ever played it again after starting college.

But I have to admit, as a middle-aged man, it does seem like it would be boring, although I’d be willing to try it again. I read some of the D&D 5e instructions, and it seems like a real chore just to figure out what the rules are. When I was younger, I remember how excited I was to read game rules. What happens when we get older that we lose interest in things that brought us joy when we were young?

I guess our brains become old and useless.

* * *

And to demonstrate that no one understand the D&D alignment system, here’s a passage from an online article:

“There are plenty of kickass lawful good figures in pop culture who don’t fit the ‘white hat’ stereotype,” Perkins said, name-checking Batman, Indiana Jones, The Dark Tower’s Roland Deschain and Wonder Woman. “Don’t forget that a lawful good character can be twisted into any shape, be it a psychologically damaged night prowler, a rogue in archaeologist’s clothing, a murder hobo hardened by the cruelty of existence, and a god living among men.”

I have no idea who Roland Deschain is, but the other examples are chaotic good, not lawful good.

Interesting comment from SQ:

I keep wondering if this is related to my change in thinking about pets. As a child, I desperately wanted a dog. Owning a dog seems crazy to me now, but I don’t have to herd sheep.

SJWism in D&D 5e

with 22 comments

I noticed the following on page 35 of the Dungeons and Dragons 5e Basic Rules:

You don’t need to be confined to binary notions of sex and gender. The elf god Corellon Larethian is often seen as androgynous, for example, and some elves in the multiverse are made in Corellon’s image. You could also play a female character who presents herself as a man, a man who feels trapped in a female body, or a bearded female dwarf who hates being mistaken for a male. Likewise, your character’s sexual orientation is for you to decide.

Gary Gygax must be rolling over in his grave.

Shooter’s alleged social media post

with 39 comments

@santino_williamlegan wrote: “Why overcrowd towns and pave more open space to make room for hordes of mestizos and Silicon Valley white twats?”

This clearly shows a familiarity with the alt-right. Not saying that there’s anything necessarily wrong with a prole guy from a prole area being legitimately angry about being crowded out of his hometown by both by rich SWPLs and poor immigrants. But you won’t read about it in the mainstream media, and the word “mestizo,” while a legit word, is rarely used by the MSM but is commonly used by right-leaning internet sites, including this blog.

Food festival shooter identified

with 40 comments

https://nypost.com/2019/07/29/gilroy-shooting-gunman-reportedly-identified-as-santino-william-legan/

19-year-old Italian-Iranian white supremacist type. My guess would be that he’s from a prole background, and he targeted the food festival to attack the SWPL class, punishing them for eating food that he couldn’t afford to buy himself.

People like Hillary Clinton, who didn’t care at all about the mass shooting in a black neighborhood in Brooklyn even though its in her home state, are all up in arms (figuratively, not literally) about the shooting at the food festival. Because NAM violence in a black neighborhood doesn’t advance The Narrative, but a shooting by a white (despite being part Iranian) supremacist loser does.

This is an article about the shooter’s amateur-boxer older brother.

* * *

Even as crime continues to fall in most of NYC, the New York Times recently reported on the increasing violence in the black neighborhoods of Brooklyn (which the NYT euphemistically calls “North Brooklyn,” but we know that they mean the black neighborhoods and not the SWPL neighborhood of Greenpoint which is actually the northernmost neighborhood in Brooklyn).

Are De Blasio’s soft-on-crime policies finally catching up with us?

Mass shooting at “garlic festival”

with 32 comments

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/crime-courts/multiple-victims-reported-possible-shooting-gilroy-garlic-festival-n1035546

Shortly after I wrote that post, another mass shooting. This time, the perp is a white guy with a semi-automatic or automatic rifle, so we will hear a lot about this.

I hate garlic. Massively overrated horrible disgusting spice.

Mass shooting in Brooklyn

with 10 comments

But it doesn’t make national news, and the NY Times doesn’t even put it in the front page, because everyone knows it’s NAM violence, and MSM won’t report NAM violence.

Channel 11 news has politically incorrect details:

When some of the one hundred police officers on hand tried to get a crowd of 500 people to disperse from a courtyard, where they were said to be smoking weed and drinking alcohol, the sergeant on the scene recalled, “People were yelling vulgar and vile things at all the cops, such as ‘We wish you would die’ and a litany of other horrific terms.”
