And Trump puts his foot deeper into his mouth

Actually, yes, Representatives are allowed to give opinionated speeches on the House floor which includes biased paraphrasing of documents. Is he not aware of the Speech or Debate Clause?

If there was ever any doubt that Democrats would vote to impeach, remove all doubt.

At least half of Republicans would vote to replace Trump with President Pence if they didn’t have to face the wrath of primary voters. Trump can definitely push them in the direction of “let’s just do it quickly and hope for the best.”

* * *

At Predictit.org, the chance of Trump being impeached before the end of 2019 is now up to 60%.

  1. “which includes biased paraphrasing of documents. Is he not aware of the Speech or Debate Clause?”

No. He’s aware of how to get the press to talk about biased paraphrasing of documents.

      • “Then no one would be talking about it.”

That right there, is why he does it. He said as much during the election. He views publicity in the old fashioned sense; if they’re talking about you it’s great. There is no such thing as bad publicity. Although many of us find that annoying and self defeating, he feels it’s the secret of his success.

  2. He wants to be impeached. It’s the best thing that could happen to him. This whole fiasco has effectively knocked Joe Biden out of the primary. Impeachment will never pass in the Senate. IF Republican Senators voted to impeach it would either be the end of the GOP or touch off another civil war. Trump is upping the ante because the odds are in his favor. If the Dems lose this fight they will lose the House and that will enable Trump to push through his agenda after 2020. It’s worth the risk. Burn the bridges…We shall be victorious, or let no one return home alive.

    • Agreed. Trump actually carrying out his agenda (draining the swamp, immigration, trade, wars etc.) was always going to climax with impeachment and military tribunals. The government’s been taken over by traitors and grifters. No way they are were just going to let him win, implement his agenda, end the gravy trains, and leave office peacefully after 8 years. Exciting times ahead.

  4. It’s sad that Trump is basically the only person keeping us from the complete Stalinization of the United States. Of course, he’s going to ultimately lose, unless we have something on the order of a military takeover of the government (of which I am 100% in favor). The best plan right now is to get yourself into some kind of job that’s in the Deep State or the various deep state enablers, like in the media, in Soros-style NGOs and so forth. The Ruling Elite needs their mandarin class. Any whites outside that class are set for the charnel house.

Ok, it might not get THAT bad, but believe me, if a Dem wins the election, within a year we will see the first laws that explicitly deny things to whites based on race. I mean, that’s been going on for decades anyway, but by using misdirection. It will become overt.

    • Stalinization? That won’t happen, because there won’t be enough white people to prosecute an anti-white genocide, or any kind of Stalinized police state. Grand social plans are only possible with diligent white middle and lower classes to implement them.

You may not understand that nothing happens without loyal and competent workers, but luckily you and the rest of us intellectuals are going to get to find that out, over the next several decades.

      • “because there won’t be enough white people to prosecute an anti-white genocide”

Hispanics, Asians and Arabs are all perfectly capable of this. Blacks as well, just that they’ll get out of control and kill Hispanics, Asians and Arabs too. Can’t be trusted, but work well as initial shock troops.

“Grand social plans are only possible with diligent white middle and lower classes to implement them.”

Precisely the white Mandarin class I spoke of. You do need white middle-management. And there are plenty of SJW white traitors to supply that need, along with huge numbers of Asians joining the SJW ranks every year. You really don’t need the white lower classes anymore, which is why they are being ground into dust.

      • The idea that Hispanics or blacks could enact a genocide on whites, or any social subjugation comparable to Stalinism or a Stasi police state, is laughable on its face. Without whites, blacks can’t even feed themselves. Central and South American countries are squalid and barely livable, outside the zones the Castizos have made for themselves.

The idea that Indians could do it is also laughable. They can’t even keep their people from dumping garbage in their rivers. The Chinese are the only people with a historical record even resembling that of whites (vaguely), and they are going into demographic decline just the same.

Leftist and non-white politicians can talk about whatever they want to do, forever. But the real power of the state is measured in the white men in its armies, labs, and machine shops. Not the number of surly non-whites or limp-wristed good-white whiners it has ready to ask for land expropriation, or whatever.

I’m not saying the future isn’t going to be ugly. It will, but entirely because of mounting levels of incompetence worldwide, not because non-whites finally figured out how to organize (they won’t).

      • “Hispanics, Asians and Arabs are all perfectly capable of this.”

        No, they are not.

        1. Arabs – they can’t expel a foreign entity right in the middle of the Arab world. (Israel.) They are resigned to its existence now. The only threats to Israel are non-Arab: Turkey, Iran, and it’s own inner chaos.

        2. Hispanics – this is stupid.

        3. Asians – even stupider.

If anyone is talking about uprisings within the US, just stop. Please stop. It sounds even more than stupid.

      • @ gothamette

I do not agree with peterike’s point, but he was not saying that there was a danger that Hispanics or other non-whites would foment rebellion, etc. He was saying that they could constitute the backbone workers of a Stalinist state that oppresses white people.

This is wrong, because what’s going to happen in the future is that politicians will be increasingly impotent to enact any social plans at all, oppressive or otherwise, because there won’t be enough competent people to enact them.

  5. I have been assuming ever since the transcript and whistle-blower complaint were released that the House would impeach Trump and the Senate would not remove him from office. It would be a huge, ugly political fight, but in the end Trump would win. Some people think that would improve Trump’s chances of winning re-election. I think the situation is too volatile to tell whether it would help or hurt Trump.

I am beginning to wonder about this. If impeachment is likely to help Trump, why is he becoming so panicky? Has someone told Trump they think 20 Republican Senators might vote to remove him?

    • “If impeachment is likely to help Trump, why is he becoming so panicky?”

He isn’t panicky in the least. This is just another lamestream talking point concocted out of thin air. What is this, the 500th time internet nitwits have gone around saying “derp derp Drumpf is panicking now! derp derp.” It’s all so tiresome. No wonder nobody wants to get locked up in an insane asylum. The endless stream of crazy nonsense talk is really the dullest thing in the world. And now we get it from the media 24×7 for three years running.

    • Trump is panicking because he is a narcissist who cannot even conceive he has done anything wrong. He may also truly be so ignorant of the law he really doesn’t understand when or how he is violating the Constitution. Abstract conceptions like duty and patriotism don’t have any real meaning for Trump, he thinks being President means he is nów the boss and should get to do whatever he wants.

Everyone here no doubt hates David Frum, but his comparison in The Atlantic of how Clinton managed impeachment with the crazy way Trump keeps lashing out is actually pretty good, just as analysis of strategy, regardless of actual guilt/Innocence.

      • “Trump is panicking because he is a narcissist who cannot even conceive he has done anything wrong.”

Lol! It’s really amazing how seemingly rational people fall for the idiot constructs of MSM propagandists. Your comment is utter nonsense. Trump is NOT a narcissist: he’s a braggart. There’s a very big difference. The aloof and diffident Obama was a narcissist.

“He may also truly be so ignorant of the law he really doesn’t understand when or how he is violating the Constitution.”

How has he violated the Constitution? Oh yeah, he hasn’t.

“Abstract conceptions like duty and patriotism don’t have any real meaning for Trump,”

Except everything about him suggests the truth is 100% the opposite of your stupid armchair psychology.

“he thinks being President means he is nów the boss and should get to do whatever he wants.”

Ridiculous. He has said literally thousands of times how he wants to get things done but Democrats won’t do anything. Just on infrastructure alone he’s said this countless times. He’s said it about Republicans as well. He understands perfectly well that he can’t do whatever he wants.

  9. Hhahahaha…

Trump just exposed Joe Biden’s corruption. And the media ran with it.

Trump exposed Obama moving files on a server. And the media ran with it.

There will simply be no removal of Trump and, probably, no impeachment either.

    Why?

    Because of Brett Kavanaugh.

Whatever collegial relationship Mitch McConnell had with the Democrats was completely destroyed by how the left treated Kavanaugh.

Kavanugh was a full-blown beltway insider and he was treated like he was nothing but Donald Trump. The Republicans can now see what the Dems have in store for them if they get decisive power.

This impeachment was a desperate move.
