But because it doesn’t advance the preferred narrative, it’s not reported by any fakestream media at all, it’s only a tweet.

Well they are back and they are going to be patrolling Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods to prevent more criminal attacks against Orthodox Jews.
Based on the picture, the Angels are looking a little long in the tooth.
China’s smart anti-Muslim policies
This NY Times article explains how the Chinese are putting Muslim children into boarding schools where they are allowed little contact with their Muslim parents, and at the schools they are taught secularism and love for China.
It may not be what the West would consider a morally good policy, but it’s smart for China. China will make its Muslim problem disappear, while in the West the opposite is happening and millions of Muslims are allowed to immigrate and become an anti-West fifth column.
This is why the United States can’t win a “war” in Afghanistan, which is not really a “war” but a nation-building exercise, and we can’t win the nation-building because we don’t have the will to to re-educate the populace.
This is why China will inevitably replace the United States as the world’s superpower.

Right, the New York Times cares a lot more about this than any Islamic nations seem to. And we may also point out that Israel has never attempted to re-educate their Muslims and convert them to Judaism.

Yeshiva World News apparently lacks the political correctness of secular fakestream media which refuses to report on anything if it goes against their preferred narrative of racist whites and peaceful victimized blacks and Muslims.
Fakestream media is pushing “mental illness” as an explanation for the attack, based only on the suspect’s family’s say-so, with no corroborating evidence of any kind. But “mental illness” is never used as an excuse when white people commit “hate” crimes.

Higher IQ correlates with greater honesty
This is an extremely interesting psychological (or economics) experiment.
The person being experimented on was asked to secretly roll a six-sided die and report the result. Soldiers who reported higher numbers were allowed to leave earlier from their job, and civilians who reported higher numbers got a higher reward (which was only 10 shekels for each pip, or about three US dollars).
The distribution of numbers reported for those in the top half of intelligence, based on either the kaba (the Israeli military evaluation score) or a 12-question intelligence test, closely resembled what would have been expected based on chance, except that it seems that the high intelligence responders sometimes under-reported high die rolls.
But when you look at the distribution of numbers for those in the lower half of intelligence, it’s pretty obvious that a substantial number of them are lying about what number they rolled in order to get a higher payout or an earlier release time from their military job. More so for the civilians than the soldiers.
None of the other factors they looked at (such as self-reported honesty) had a statistically significant impact on the distribution of die rolls. Although I wish that they had done this test on more people in order to be sure; there was a possible correlation between being from a city and having less honesty, and having higher honesty if from a rural area.
This experiment has huge implications for what kind of society you want to live in. It’s pretty clear that higher IQ leads to high-trust societies where people are honest with each other, while lower IQ leads to crime-ridden disorderly societies. Also, if hiring people, it’s way better to hire people from the top 50% of IQ if you want to have honest employees. IQ is way more important than merely being the ability to do well on tests.
The paper is also informative because it includes the 12 question Raven’s Progressive Matrices test that was used. This is an IQ test that is talked about a lot, but I’ve never actually seen what the test is like.
There were 12 questions, but only a stupid person could get more than 1 question wrong (because the last question on the test was slightly non-obvious, so if someone wasn’t motivated they might blow it off). Indeed, about a quarter of the test-sitters got all 12 questions correct, and another quarter got 11 questions correct. So my conclusion is that the test is good at measuring stupidity, but bad at measuring intelligence. If this is the test that was used to conclude that intelligence is rising (the so-called Flynn Effect), then the alleged rise means that stupid people became less stupid, not that smart people became smarter.
Vinyl records to outsell CDs in 2020
The resurgence of vinyl is interesting, but in reality listening to vinyl records is a niche hobby, just a more popular niche hobby than it was ten years ago. The bigger story is the total collapse of CD sales (which unlike vinyl has no romance associated with it). We are reaching the end of buying music to own it. Spotify has more revenue per year than CD, Vinyl and MP3 download purchases combined.
Now what do I do with all those useless CDs I have that I spent in total about two thousand dollars on? (I’ve thrown a lot in the garbage after “ripping” them to mp3 files, but that’s actually kind of time consuming. Probably, anything I haven’t listened to in more than 10 years is a CD I don’t really need to rip, I should just throw it out.)

Chuck Peddle, unsung hero of the computer age, dies at 82
Intel shut his project down because they thought it would lower their profits, so he skipped town, taking seven engineers with him, and joined a small chip company in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, where they completed the 6502 microprocessor, the chip that made computers like the Apple II and the Atari 800 possible, as well as the unfortunate Commodore PET. And the related, but lower-cost, less-featured 6507 microprocessor powered the Atari 2600 gaming console.
In those days, it only took 8 people to design a major computer chip, but today it surely takes hundreds, and maybe into the thousands. (For example, it is reported that Apple has 1000 to 1200 engineers working on a 5g modem chip. Also, I bet that all seven of the engineers that Chuck Peddle took with him were white men born in America.
The obit at the NY Times also contains the interesting tidbit that Jobs and the Woz wanted to sell Apple to Commodore, but Commodore wasn’t interested. How would technology have evolved differently if that sale happened? Would there be a Commodore smartphone? Or would we still be using Blackberries?
Note that the New York Times obituary is nine days late, Chuck died on December 15th.
