Wow, I asked in a comment (below) how this could possibly be tied back to white supremacy and before that comment is even posted JS provides an answer, blacks attacking Jews stems from a culture of antisemitism that New York blacks learned from Catholic Irish who probably were encouraged by racist southern whites. The obvious solution is more social justice education in the schools.

It appears that the strong dislike of Jews from White gentile reactionaries tapered off post 9-11 and became mostly a black phenomenon going forward.
In the 1990s, Jewish Americans were at the height of their power and influence with Bill Clinton and Israeli politics which led to a strong backlash from a segment of White anti-semitics that “Jews control America”. Sites like Stormfront in the 1990s was just that. Now it is taken up by blacks, a lot of it tied to housing discrimination that “Jews control real estate”.

The NYT reporter Fox Butterfield wrote a book in 1990s saying that Southern blacks acquired a culture of “honor” that required them to take violent action when disrespected. They learned this from observing their masters dueling. They took this culture north with them to NYC and other cities in the 1900s.
So, we have to find the master of the black guy who did this. It’s the master’s fault.

Or slavery or redlining. The way the state (e.g., the state) uses these event to reinforce the message, “whites are to blame for everything, here and elsewhere,” is mostly irrelevant since anyone who contradicts the state religion is an enemy of the state and subject to punishment. To question the message, no matter how absurd that message might be, is beside the point. In most cases simply denouncing them will lead most to fear they’ve committed some horrible evil act for discounting the edicts of the infallible Church elders. How you punish them is also mostly irrelevant as most people will punish themselves to gain re-entry to the herd.

In the Tessa Majors case, the NY Times stated that “race was not a factor.” But how do we know?
In this case here, the black woman swore at the Jewish woman.
But Tessa Majors is dead. How do we know she wasn’t sworn at?
It would be safe to presume that if the race of the criminal is different from the race of the victim, the crime has some racial motivation to it. People likely have lower levels of empathy and are capable of greater levels of antagonism towards people of different races.
This is currently what we have today, if the victim is a minority (black, Jewish, etc) but not if the criminal is a minority (black, Jewish, etc).

A lot of the ire directed at Orthodox Jews stems from the Orthodox being terrible slum owning landlords. Orthodox own vast quantities of rental buildings in crappy neighborhoods and there are loads of them listed on New York’s worst landlords list. They avoid repairs as much as possible and are relentless at asking for rents.
At the same time, blacks are terrible tenants who destroy property and are always late on rent. This combustible combination results in immense hatred on both sides.
This dynamic is totally obvious but no reporter will ever mention it or ask the obvious questions.

I certainly feel that way myself when I read about some Muslim terrorist attack and how the guy has 5 or 6 kids. Of course I don’t act on it, nor even think about it except when I read about it. I will myself to not think about it.
Unless these blacks are high family size groups themselves (I don’t know enough about Nation of Islam or Black Hebrew Israelites to know if they are) I could easily see the expanding population alone enough to create resentment.

Bingo.
The Orthodox have also pissed off both Jewish and non-Jewish whites with some of their habits in Orange County, NY. I don’t exactly know the details but there was a complicated water rights issue there. Apart from that, there are constant problems with them over other stuff. All you have to do is google “Kiryas Joel” and “Orange County” and you’ll get dozens of articles.
I used to avoid the Walmart when they were there. They have a weird and annoying way of pushing their carts into you, as if they don’t see a human being there.
I can imagine that they they do that with a black person, it eventually explodes.

Someone told me that the Williamsburg Orthodox are all in the process of an organized move to black neighborhoods in Jersey City because they have realized that they can’t afford to keep expanding in Brooklyn as the surrounding neighborhood has gentrified. Keep in mind they roughly double in population every generation and in that area it costs 7 figures to buy an apartment that you can have 6 kids in.

Blacks must be in the much larger process of being pushed out of neighborhoods by Hispanics. There are far more Hispanics than ultra-Orthodox Jews.
I don’t know how the two groups get along. Some Hispanics are part black themselves. Not sure how many. Brazil imported a lot slaves but I don’t think Brazilians are very big in current Hispanic expansion.
There doesn’t seem to be widespread resentment by blacks, who must also be challenged for jobs too. Perhaps any crimes don’t get heavy news coverage. Although any large scale killing would get coverage.

I’ve heard of tensions between African Americans and Hispanics in CA, but do you think the MSM will cover this? Not likely.
I don’t think this stabbing was Islamic terrorism. It was a crazy guy who converted to Islam because Islam is so low class in the US it attracts mostly marginal types. He acted on his psychosis. He doesn’t really have a religion.

@gothamette We had a guy here in Victoria who was planning to let some bombs off on Canada Day, when there would be lots of people gathered to watch the fireworks. He was a white guy, with a white girlfriend.
He & the girlfriend converted to Islam shortly before this. I don’t know his exact motive: maybe he really did think he’d be rewarded with 72 virgins. He seemed to have the girlfriend in thrall.
But he was falling into a trap, as the police were involved in selling the bombs. In Canada it seems the laws permit setting up such traps. I think the US is stricter. So he never got his chance. I hope he’s still in prison.
His involvement with Islam was brief. It’s unlikely he’d even know some of the less well-known Muslim complaints, like Andalusia.

The FBI runs these sort of stings all the time, and every few months we hear about the arrest of some would be Islamic militant planning a terrorist attack that has been dealing with the FBI the whole time.

Why Monsey then? Very few slumlords living up in Monsey. Most of the Jews up in Monsey are dirt poor. Monseyites shuttle down by bus early morning to Brooklyn/Manhattan to work in low wage retail jobs then shuttle back in the evening, we’re talking 12-16 hour days here. If the dude wanted to take it to the man for keeping the brothers down he picked the wrong target.

A lot of it is also financial manipulation and scams. Orthodox don’t do state recognized marriages, so the result is that on paper, you have all these single women with no incomes and 8 kids. Combine this with a lot of cash businesses and a community that lives primarily by its own rules and you have very low on-paper income, even though this is not the reality. I mean, its hardly like Kiras Joel is a rich area, but it certainly is a lot better off than most rural rust belt communities, for example.

It’s definitely very poor, but without the social pathologies normally associated with poor people. Also, their poverty is mostly a choice, they choose to pray and study the Talmud instead of doing anything that secular people would consider productive.
They are poorer than black people in Harlem. Black kids in Harlem will be seen wearing expensive sneakers, while the shoes the kids wear in Kiryas Joel are crappy bargain-store shoes from China.

Lol! That’s not a sign of poverty, it’s a sign of organized ethnic welfare scamming. You’ll find the same thing in Chinatowns. Every old grandma is getting every conceivable welfare benefit, even if their kids are loaded. The fact that she paid zero into the system means nothing.

@Peterike Just before I got to your comment I recalled reading about a very expensive neighborhood near Vancouver with extremely low incomes. It’s a Chinese neighborhood (the whole suburb is Chinese).
It would seem some people aren’t reporting overseas income, or it’s criminal income, But you’d think they have more sense than to draw attention to themselves.
Perhaps the new Chinese immigrants don’t know how carefully the tax departments keep track of this. Ill gotten gains aren’t new.

Now there has been a church shooting in Texas.

The gunman shot two people, killing one and critically injuring the other.
Then a parishioner shot the gunman dead. At least 2 parishioners approached the front of the church with guns drawn, moving towards the shooter. Others dived under pews.
The church was live streaming the service, so the who thing is on video. I watched the video but it has been taken down now,

I just watched it. That guy who immediately stood up in front of the gunman and conspicuously reached behind him to draw his pistol pretty much committed suicide. It looks like 5 or possibly 6 members of the congregation were armed. But most of them didn’t draw until after it was over. And that girl who’s running around screaming hysterically needs to be slapped.

The man who fatally shot the gunman is Jack Wilson, age 71, who is a volunteer security guard for the church and is also a candidate for county commissioner. He clearly knew what he was doing: he is a former reserve police officer and used to own a firearms training school. The two dead men, besides the gunman, were a parishioner and a church deacon.
